Costco is a warehouse-club chain that has hundreds of locations across the United States and other countries. This particular Costco in Homestead opened in 2007, and it contains many of the same types of products as do other locations of Costco. For several years, my husband and I have been Executive members of Costco, and we have off and on shopped at this Costco. This store includes departments of groceries, electronics, jewelry, appliances, clothing, accessories, health and beauty, books, optical, hearing aid center, pharmacy, food court, gas station, tire center, etcetera. We shop here to stock up on groceries (e.g., chicken, salmon, pierogies, asparagus, caesar salad, and granola bars), household cleaning products (e.g., paper towels, toilet paper, and pods for laundry and dishes), and hygiene products (e.g., contact solution). They also have good deal on gift cards, winter coats, computers, and batteries. We think that Costco's products are a high quality and that their prices are low. I often forget to bring my large tote bags from home, so I appreciate that Costco provides free cardboard boxes near the cash registers. The cashiers have always accurately rung up our purchases and politely thanked us. read more

5/1/25 Ate List: Pepperoni Pizza - 7.1 Just reviewing food here. The greatest thing about this is the cost. I wish it could be beat or competed against locally. But 2 Pepperoni slices and a drink for a final total of $5.12 is PRETTY amazing this day and age. For the cost, your getting something that costs a bit above that. It's not Cafeteria pizza bad but it's also not going to make a local hall of fame. In a pinch though, this steal came in SO RIDICULOUSLY handy. read more

I always look forward to our monthly trip to Costco. There's a lot of parking available in their parking lot. You scan your membership card when you walk in and I can easily spend at least an hour walking up and down the aisles looking at everything. The prices are always really good and their stuff that on clearance is insanely inexpensive. Costco is also excellent is you're having a party and want to bulk feed a lot of people. Their food court is also open again and has whole pizzas for $9.99 which is a bargain. read more

My daughter and I needed a ton of food for a party and decided to go to Costco. The store is huge and has so much stuff it is unbelievable. Typically most of the items are in much larger quantities than a regular supermarket but at significantly better prices. The catering department is also great we got several platers and the food was great. The vegetables and fruits were all super fresh and delicious as well. We got bagels which were also very fresh. This is the only Costco in my area as far as I know. The store is well laid out and is great. even the cases of water and soda where in larger quantities and better pricing. I will definitely go back again whenever I need larger quantities. read more

Costco's layout is similar no matter which location you walk into. Staff check your membership card on the way in and your receipt on the way out. Aisles are full of food in bulk and there's a food court with shockingly cheap food. We came for the Tire Center. The person behind the desk wasn't friendly, but efficient at their job. read more

In general, I like Costco better than Sam's, however the Waterfront location is no longer carrying the chocolate muffins or jewelry, and if they still have books, I sure couldn't find them. I don't know if this is happening at all Costcos, or just this one. Customer service is good if you can find an employee to ask a question, and the prices are good on what they have, I'm just annoyed about the muffins and the books. read more

My favorite Costco, it's on the Mon River in Homestead, and it's the closest to my house. There's plenty of parking, and the restrooms are kept very tidy. I have friends who have been shopping here for decades, in particular for cheese, fruit, and things for a reception spread. Now I see the value, particularly when you need items in bulk for a great price. There's a warehouse vibe, which is quite intentional: concrete floors and tall ceilings and everything in one huge box. I keep coming back for bananas and avocados, they are the best quality at a reasonable price. read more

It's ok. Joined for convenience... but will probably go back to Sam's. The credit card was the deal breaker... Bank of America is pretty sketchy... called to correct statements... and they cancelled me and I lost over 150 dollars in rewards. Now getting statements from them saying I owe 5.37. Costco needs to really look at who they are partnering with. This was our second try with them... but ended the same as 15 years ago. Steer clear! Sam's may not be as sexy - but they are not sketchy. Sadly - I really don't think they care about customer experience. read more

I came in to pick up my latest prescription glasses. Because of the covid-19 virus, they will not adjust the frames so I had to take them as is - which is fine by me. They do need some adjusting, that is for sure, but I'm glad to have them nonetheless. Upon entering, I was given a cart by a Costco employee who told me it was sanitized. Nice. It looked brand new. Walking in the store, I was happy to see it NOT crowded. It was also exceptionally clean, again, like it was a new building. I was able to get what I wanted - except for the still-elusive TP. Check out was also nice. Super clean conveyor belt. And, instead of taking my card, I held it and the cashier scanned it with a handheld scanner. Even the person at the exit didn't take the receipt to mark it. She just looked at it while I held it up. read more

When I returned to the Costco Food Court in 2022, the menu was VERY limited. Previous sandwich options are now gone, leaving only pizza, hot dogs, milkshakes, sundaes, soda, churros, chicken bake (whatever that is), and variations. See picture. Rather than eat one of these pathetic "food" options, I left Costco and got lunch at Allegro Hearth Bakery in Squirrel Hill where I ordered an excellent and healthy avocado sandwich with mixed greens, cucumber, shiitake bacon (vegan), tahini, toum, and pickle on whole wheat sourdough roll. Shopping at Costco never gets boring. They are consistently adding new products and items to help keep their customers interested and satisfied. I honestly believe this is one organization who really does keep their focus on the customer. The quality of their products speak for themselves, and the price points are usually pretty good. Each time I visit, I never seem to have enough time to explore each department as much as I would like. It would be helpful if they could offer at least one late night hour that extends beyond their 8:30 closing time during the weekdays, and stay open longer than 6:00pm on Saturday. As a member, you also routinely receive several editions of the Costco magazine throughout the year. The magazine features new products, recipes, articles on health and travel and much, much more. I love trying out new products. and they usually have food demonstrators set-up around the store to offer a sample of a product they are introducing. I have learned that if I find a product I like, I need to remember to take a picture of the label or record it in a way to help re-purchase it the next time I am in the store. Often times. a product is not repeated and this information is helpful when trying to track it down again. The latest 2 items I have tried, and absolutely love, and recommend, is the 3 pound bag of Kirkland Pistachios. They are so fresh - tasting and very addicting. The other superior product is the Kirkland Signature Trail Mix. It is loaded with top quality almonds, cashews, peanuts and real M& M's. Kirkland is their name brand and wins my vote every time! read more

Last trip to tire center they lost one of my valve stem covers. This time my 80K mile tires did not pass inspection after only 18 months and 20K miles. Took it in for warranty and they blame me, stating front end may be out of alignment even though they never mentioned this to me including when was there for rotation 2 months ago. All 4 tires worn badly and fairly evenly and they do not want to do anything for me. I will never buy tires here again. read more

My partner bought and I bought a discounted membership to Costco. Each time we've gone back, there have been different items which makes it exciting. My favorite selections include the books, clothes, and seasonal items. The plants have been interesting as well; one of these days I'll snag one for myself. Most of the items are the worth the bulk price. We love stopping by to get a beef hotdog at the concession before heading out; I also really the triple berry parfaits! One thing to know: Costco doesn't accept any debit/credit outside of Visa. read more

I was really sick and Costco pharmacy made it possible for me to get me medication without putting anyone at risk. I'm so grateful! For such a large corporation, they were as responsive as a small mom-n-pop. I also love the healthy options that are more and more available. My Kombucha habit savings cover the membership fee alone. I shop at Costco for both home and business. Today a had stopped at the service desk for a simple price adjustment. The persons name that was waiting on me was Dawn. She had waited on me before at the checkout register. On every occasions she was extremely condescending, sarcastic and rude. I've overlooked her bad attitude on my previous visits thinking maybe she's having a bad day. Today I feel the need to post something. So I've only been to a total of 2 Costco's. This location being one of them and I am completely satisfied with this location. They offer a lot of organic items which is pretty much all I get. The organic produce is a bit hit or miss and sometimes the expiration date is only a few days out. That would be my only complaint, I wish the expiration date was further out so the food didn't spoil so quickly. They offer a lot of samples which is nice to be able to try different foods before buying an item in bulk. They also have good sales. read more

I can't believe I went this long without writing a review for Costco. Costco is 'da bomb'. But seriously. If you aren't a member, I suggest visiting a Costco with a friend/family member who is OR getting a guest pass to check out the deals. It's worth it. Gift cards, cell phones, ink for your printer, laundry detergent, basically all household staples... Costco has and for the best prices (most of the time). Considering I don't have a deep freezer, and there's only two adults in my home, I don't stock up on all things the way that I would like to. But my personal staples at Costco are laundry detergent, bottled water, organic spring mix, pre-packed skinless boneless chicken and red peppers. They also have awesome deals on baby clothes and just clothes in general- I have multiple pairs of Costco pants and I am not ashamed! GAS is also always a steal at Costco! I need premium gas in my car and Costco always has the best price. Another AWESOME thing about Costco? The employees are well paid, with great benefits and they are always SO friendly and helpful. I enjoy supporting a business that treats their employees well and in return, the employees treat their customers very well. I have never had bad customer service at any Costco that I have visited and this location in particular. From the person greeting you at the door to the person folding clothes, they are always friendly. And the last awesome perk of shopping at Costco? RETURNS. They will basically take anything back at Costco- with the exception of electronics (you have 90 days to return, I believe- don't quote me on that). Example: Bought an eco-friendly laundry detergent once, tried it on a few washes, didn't like it- Costco took it back no questions asked. It's nice to not be haggled and harassed when taking back something that I don't like. Costco is awesome. Go there now. read more

I frequent this Costco since it is close to my house. It's OK, I mean what can be said about a Costco that hasn't already been said? I have noticed how lacking some of the merchandise can be when it comes to variety. And also how unique it can be to have bulk items in areas that others do not. A trick I had to learn the hard way with produce, don't be afraid to move the stuff in front to get the product in the back. I had bought a bag of celery here and two days after I bought it and got around to using it it had gone bad. Gas prices aren't much cheaper than the stations up the street, but it is a nice convenience if you don't want to stop anywhere on the way home. (oh, they only take American Express here, felt bad for the kid in front of me that did not know that) read more

Costco has amazing produce, meat & bakery items but so much more as well. If you're a parent it's a great place to get children's clothes & toys especially during the holiday season. They have amazing values for the money & you can't beat their fuel price at their stations. They also make sure things are clean and people still wear masks for at risk older customers which is important for health & safety. They even have great quality pet products too. read more

Wenot to pick up my glasses order. There is just two persons in front of me. The time is 7:20 pm. I ereally wanna get it that night and started waiting. The lady was increditly slow, spent a good 15 minutes to finish one prescription order. Then she spent 5 minutes answered a question someone asked.....waited....waited.... can't believe it was 7:50! when I can sit down and asked to pick up my oreder. The glasses are okay, she found it a bit loose and made some adjustment. 7:53, all done. 30 minutes waiting and it is not even crowded! the department really need to do something to fix! read more

Pretty standard Costco with some issues when lines become longer. When lines are long, some lines begin to merge and there is general confusion over which line you're in, as well as which line goes with which register. The main problem I have is their propensity for not having vanilla yogurt available in the food court area, but this isn't the worst thing to deal with. Otherwise this Costco is a standard example of Costco-ship and in a convenient location. read more

I love Costco but this location is expensive. Came here to grab a few essentials and couldn't believe the prices. Steak and seafood was well over $50 for the same items I purchase at my home Costco (in nyc) for less than $30. It's clean and the employees are friendly and they have everything all the other Costco's have but you need to shop wisely or you'll break the bank ;) read more

What did I pay at Big Lots? $1.25 a box! An awesome deal! They have tons of granola, cereal, canned goods and even a decent selection of gluten free foods! They are also adding coolers/freezers to this Big Lots and I am super excited! Big Lots has everything. Go there before you go to any other store- there is a good chance they will have what you need and it will be a lot cheaper than the other places!

The store is organized well and there is a lot in there...bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, art and decor, organizational/storage supplies, outdoor rugs, and so much more. During back to school season, this is the place to be for your campus living items. Sometimes staff is hard to come by, but they're helpful when you find them. The prices are competitive and there's no reason to pay full price for your k cups, keurig, appliances, and bed sets when you have a coupon.

Could barely understand their terrible English. The final outcome was they wanted me to pay shipping of $85 to return a $81 item. Stay away at all costs.

Everything is pretty averagely priced if not a little on the high side. I used to go to Aldi, but now their prices have risen to be about the same as target so typically if they actually have what I'm looking for I'll go to target instead since it's more convenient. It's nice that they have the Starbucks and the eye doctor place in the target. I got my eyes checked at their clinic before and it was a fairly easy and reasonably priced experience. The glasses selection isn't really that great though so I'd recommending just doing the check up and then waiting to order glasses online.

Most recently, my husband and I did a self-designed food tour in several restaurants on Murray Avenue and Forbes Avenue. We ate at T-Swirl Crepe, Waffallonia, Amazing Dumplings, Commonplace Coffee, and Hidden Harbor. We also shopped in Panda Supermarket, Chocolate Moose, and Ebisu and spent time in the Carnegie Library. Previously we enjoyed eating at Kiin Lao & Thai Eatery, Ramen Bar, Kyo Matcha, Mango Mango, etcetera. We always appreciate how the business district has a diverse population and international cuisine, is very walkable, and feels safe.

It's because my theme is a progressive dinner style around Asian restaurants. I saw a lot of storefronts on Forbes that were covered with coming soon building wraps. They were all Asian restaurants. That's a good sign. For sure, it's a progress with economic prosperity in this neighborhood. I stayed at an Airbnb with walking distance to the center of the attention. My only gripe was that not many restaurants open on Sunday morning. But I enjoyed my morning stroll alone to witness the fall colors. That's a bonus on this trip. I could never see this sight in Houston Texas, where I'm from.

Now they have and it's a fun place to go shop, eat and drink. My favorite places in there are Novo Food Hall, Askin Brewery, Heibers, City Winery and Shake Shack. You can get something quick to eat if you lack time before an event at Shake Shack. They have great burgers. Novo is a great place to go and try out all different things from all different Asian foods from Japan, Korea and the Philippines. We've tried several different places and had lots of great dishes. If you need a drink and some good food to wash it down then Aslin is the place to go. They even have trivia nights which are lots of fun. I love going to concerts and City Winery is a fun spot to see a show because it's a small venue which has no bad seats. We have seen. Comedians and concerts there. If you pay in cash at the venue, you can avoid the fees. You can go there for a fun afternoon or a great evening with friends and family.

Shake Shack is also located here. Novo Asian Food Hall is also part of The Terminal as is City Winery. There are also fitness studios, a bookstore, jeweler, and more. Aslin Beer Co. is also at The Terminal. Lots of new places being added. Some of us were resistant to these changes but it seems yinzers and tourists alike are finding love or at least likability for this relatively new space.
