I'm a frequent Target shopper. I love this location. Huge inside. Always being restocked. As most targets everything is setup pretty nicely. They typically have what I need. I was at Target and found out they no longer carry plus sizes in the store. There was no one in the misses department, but 3 people looking for the plus department. This is my go to grocery spot just because it's so close to where I live, but it's always crowded and they always seem to be out of produce when I go. It's great to pick up what I need quickly and the staff is usually nice and helpful. This is a little niche but one thing I have noticed is if you're coming here for kpop albums make sure to check to make sure they haven't been opened yet because a lot of people will come here and steal the photo cards out of the albums so make sure they're still sealed before you buy them. Everything is pretty averagely priced if not a little on the high side. I used to go to Aldi, but now their prices have risen to be about the same as target so typically if they actually have what I'm looking for I'll go to target instead since it's more convenient. It's nice that they have the Starbucks and the eye doctor place in the target. I got my eyes checked at their clinic before and it was a fairly easy and reasonably priced experience. The glasses selection isn't really that great though so I'd recommending just doing the check up and then waiting to order glasses online. read more

Well, the Starbucks appears to be a great stop-over for the homeless - if you like that. The checkout customer assistant was wearing an "Over Men - TM" - t-shirt- which while I am sympathetic- as a male who feels the same about her sex - don't really find to be a terribly professional display for work. I am a shopper for instacart. At 9:35pm on November 16, 2024 I accepted a 2 shop and deliver for 9 items at the Target located in East liberty Pittsburgh Pennsylvania,15206. I arrived at the store at 9:54pm, I grabbed a cart and promptly headed to complete the order. I started off in the grocery area, where all of the first shop items were located, there was 2 store associates who helped me finding the items I needed. I headed over to electronics to get the items for my second order, which was a 6' HDMI cord and a 4 pack of AAA energizer batteries! Upon getting to the electronics section I thought it would be quicker to get assistance, a younger Caucasian male with long hair was stocking items in the area where the items I needed was located, I approached him and asked if he could point me in the direction of the HDMI cord, he rudely responded "we are closed" and walked away! I asked for his name and he ignored me and kept stocking his shelves. So I continued to try to find the items myself, when an older Caucasian women rushed to the back in my direction. I asked her if she could possibly assist me, and she told me NO! And that I needed to get to the check out because the store was closed! I had to refund the entire second customers order and have it canceled, which takes away from my original pay out! As I get to the cashier, a middle aged Caucasian women. I informed her that I was with Instacart, and since I had to refund and cancel a order, that I would have to contact my customer care department to have the order removed, because it won't let me move forward in the app and pay for the items I already had for the first customer, in which she replied " well my bus comes at 10:30, so I don't know what your gonna do"!! I take pride in being an Instacart shopper, and providing my customers with every possible extension of my courtesy! Having to cancel an order because I'm being forced out of a store, is embarrassing, and it lowers my shopper rating! I've worked in customer service related jobs for over a decade now, and the way I was handled was completely unprofessional, and unacceptable! read more

What a unique cart return escalator !! This Target location in East Liberty is off the beaten path for me, but when I get a chance to shop here I take it !! This location has always been a clean, efficient and well organized store. The staff as always been friendly and helpful. Parking has never been a problem and it's great for a rainy day, garage parking keeps everyone and everything dry. More stand alone stores should use this model. I am not a huge Starbucks fan, but I do like the ice tea. The lemonade smoothies at the stand next to Starbucks is very good, try the strawberry lemonade smoothie, very good !!! read more

One of the better Targets in Pittsburgh. Parking is definitely a plus as it is below ground and easy access to the store and free. One Target store is basically the same as the next. This location does seem to have a better selection than some of the other Target locations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was in and out in a very short time with exactly what I needed. A Target is a Target, to an extent anyway. Since this one is closest to my new workplace, I'm here fairly often to pick up some of the things on my household item shopping list. (Side note: after coming here so often for cough drops and pet supplies in January, I'm surprised no one in the store recognizes me!) This particular Target has done a good job with the space available to it. The store is built on top of a large parking lot, which always has space open somewhere. And since it's covered, it's not a big deal if you don't get a spot right by the doors. Once parked and inside, there are elevators and cart racks to accommodate shoppers headed in (i.e. up) and out (i.e. down). The entrance lobby is nice and big, too, which is very appreciated given the amount of foot and cart traffic it has to handle! On your way in (or out) you can also stop at a Starbucks and/or Pizza Hut should you feel the need to. Plus, near the entrance/exit are the bathrooms, which are pretty well maintained, especially considering how darn busy this place is. Once you walk past all of that and get inside, it's pretty standard Target territory. It's clean, it's bright, it's convenient...and it's tempting to buy anything and everything just because it's colorful/cute/useful looking. I'm definitely a fan - although I can't say my poor wallet shares the same opinion! read more

Normally I don't give reviews for chair stores but this time I have too. I tried on a winter pants (those that you can use for ski) but because I'm too short I asked to to the staff if she thinks that I would be able to sew the hem bu myself (since I have a see machine). She honestly said: I think that's hard so I suggest you to go to the boys and girls clothes then you can find one that fits perfectly for you. "Plus it will be cheaper!" - She added. I found one good winter pant who fits for me and that doesn't look like "girls only" type and indeed it was much cheaper. The guy who works in the cashier was also very friendly and funny. allows very clearly pet dogs in and if you call the manager about it, he essentially calls you a liar when you try to quote the ADA, and that you can ask if the dog is a service dog and what tasks it's trying to perform to mitigate a disability, and doing very clearly given information about someone who is putting disabled people at risk in their store, literally did not care. if you see pets in the store that are very clearly not service animals, a.k.a. misbehaving, etc. I would highly recommend contacting your local authorities. The rise of fake service dogs and people bring their pets into target is reaching the point where service dog handlers of legitimate assistance dogs are having to avoid target. read more

This location of Target did not have all of the products for which I was looking (e.g., a drink mix and slippers). Nonetheless, I did buy a few items, such as a DVD, mineral supplement, plastic storage container, cat treats, and Drano clog remover. The aisles and cash register lines were full of customers, and the wait was a bit long, probably because students from nearby universities are returning to school. read more

We found a sale on Red Bull-- a case of 12 for $18 ($1.50/each) Awesome deal, but I had to talk bobby out of it. If he has 12 red bulls at an arms reach, he will drink ALL within a 3 day period. No way! We always stop in for a Coke Icee before even starting our shopping adventure. Fun times! I cannot believe this Target does not have better reviews. This is my Target store of choice. It is clean and everything is always on shelves and racks nicely. They have a huge clothing selection with a lot of different brands. I noticed at some of the other Targets, they don't all carry the same items. I can always find something in the dollar bins in the front. I have also ordered items online and picked them up at the store without any issue. Their grocery section is huge. Very impressive and I can find a lot of things I need while I'm there so I don't have to stop at the grocery store on the way home. The parking garage is under Target and you take the escalator/ elevator up. You can also access the entrance from street level if you are walking, biking, or using public transportation. The garage is free. This Target also has a Starbucks. I frequent it nearly every time I'm there. I will continue to go to this Target location as my number one choice. read more

This is my second favorite Target in the area. It's an urban model as it's technically two floors with parking on the first floor. You can find a mixture of people as this store touches many areas. The size is somewhat smaller than other Targets, but it gets the job done. You can find some good sales here, I guess as you can at all Targets. The concession has Starbucks and Pizza Hut with a nice open eating area. I've never waited long for customer service at the kiosk. The self-checkouts sometimes get on my nerves as they seem to always need an employee to pass or push a transaction along. Other than this, nice Target! read more

Typical urban Target in the heart of East Liberty. Parking is below street level. Great for that everything shopping trip. You can get groceries, home furnishings, vitamins, kitchen gizmos, and add to your wardrobe all in one visit. By the way, Target has one of the best collections of kitchen gadgets, pots, pans, bakeware, and dining ware of anyone. Love this place! read more

I'm not big on chain stores, but this Target does a lot to serve the community. The cashiers have a wonderful sense of humor, and I generally feel welcome in the store. It's easy to park, and there's a cool escalator that carts can ride. Excellent prices, a well laid out store. Plus a good selection of ice cream. read more

Fast, fun, and friendly service... all inside a chic building rivaling that of a City Target. This is one of the better stores I've visited and currently the only one in the city that carries fresh groceries. It's a single level store with a lower garage. so you needn't worry about hunting for parking. The interior is clean, well-lit, and extremely easy to navigate. The store offers the same general merchandise as any other Target would, with the exception of fresh groceries as many other stores are still in the process of transitioning into that area. Hence, this is where the focus on my review will be. They offer a larger variety of delicious baked goods ranging from my favorite apple fritter to this awesome madeleine-brownie hybrid cookie. In addition to baked goods, they also carry fresh fruits, vegetables, and specialty deli meats and cheeses. So, they pretty much carry all the basics of a general grocery shop with a few twists here and there. This is definitely my favorite one-stop shop for most of my shopping needs, and all at an affordable price! read more

Target never seems to amaze me! This particular East Side store is always well stocked and inviting. By using the Target app I am also able to see availability of items in store, which saves me an unnecessary trip most times. The food is fresh and reasonable. And the selection of items is very good. The sales are comparable to that of area grocery stores, but Target normally beats their pricing. Household items and the selection of bedding, bath, and kitchen are abundant. Always with the latest in design. Overall, I LOVE THIS STORE. It's really the only Target in the area that I like to shop at. read more

Let's all admit it, when it was announced that Target was going to build a one of a kind two-story building with windows in East Liberty we all thought it was going to be heaven wearing a red halo. Now, we can all admit the disappointment. When I had first heard that this location was going to be two stories I had thought that meant two stories of shopping bliss, not one and one eighth story of 'HUH?' It's just a regular old Target plopped over a parking lot...hmph. Granted it's shiny, it's new, it's nice to look at. Not much better to shop in though. I appreciate the addition at this location of produce, finally giving the shady Giant Eagle across the street some competition on national brands. But it still doesn't make up for what I thought was going to be pure bliss. I still do have a fantasy of hiding in a cart just so I can feel like I'm flying going down the cart escalator...maybe that's why I fight through the traffic to make it down there. read more

Considering how much we love the chain of wonderful temples to capitalism otherwise known as Target, Inc., I thought we would really like this one - it's convenient, well-located along a major weekend route for us, and much closer than many of the other Target stores. Unfortunately, this one just doesn't fire us up... for a few reasons. It all starts when you have to park underneath the store, which I thought would be a great way to save space and keep your car out of the sun. Unfortunately, it is a somewhat difficult lot to get in and out of, and for some odd reason, seems to make people really, really impatient. I hate all the driver angst I see there when we go - and really don't like the feeling like I'm in the classic video game, "Frogger." Then, there are the cart elevators. Straaange. It's sort of like you are being kept hostage, waiting for your cart to go uuuuuuup, and then doooooown. Feh. They could totally have put long ramps in, and saved on all the electricity that they blow on these unique contraptions that always seem to be breaking down. Unfortunately, I found the overall selection of items somewhat lacking, and we usually have to go to a secondary store to find whatever we needed, unless it's something in the shampoo section or kid section. Don't get me wrong, this is an incredibly convenient store for people who live nearby, saving them lots of time having to hoof it across the river to get to a Target, but it's just not as good as the one over in Harmar, which is quite a bit closer. This is a college town target so it is picked over on the weekend. Their drive up and pick up options from ordering online are always ready within the two hour window that they advertise. It's also right next to Trader Joes so I can knock out my weekly two places in one trip. Lots of local team apparel is at this location for a great price! read more

Target...what can I say? It's a step above Walmart and a notch below Macy's. What I love is that the store is convenient. It's not too far from my normal commute route and they have great hours making it easy for me to visit either before or after work. Target is one place that I know that I can get my essentials and also shop for clothing, whether it's professional, classy or just plain fun. This particular location has covered parking making it great in times of inclement weather and it's also well lit. I feel a bit safer when visiting alone. Please don't mistake my comment geared towards the area because I feel just as safe in East Liberty as I feel in Upper St. Clair, it's important to be aware of you surroundings everywhere. This location also has a small foods section and while I wouldn't do major grocery shopping here, it is nice to know that you can get fresh meat, fresh produce, frozen goods and other odds and ends. Let's put it like this, if you need to make a meal---you certainly could get everything here. It may be priced a little higher than the average grocery store based on what you are purchasing but isn't it all about convenience anyway? There is a pizza hut and a Starbucks at the top of the escalators as you enter the store which is another added convenience too. For all of the reasons mentioned above, it's my favorite Target in the area. read more

Target is great because... Target. It's the only place in the city you can buy groceries, home goods, technology, clothes and more! But, because if this, its is insanely crowded at all times and so many people, especially students, block up the narrow isles so it's hard to move. They are also constantly out if stock of basic items. The app will say it's in stock but it won't be out and getting someone to get it is like pulling teeth! The cashiers can also be either rude or very slow, but most are great and I can only imagine the craziness they must deal with on a daily basis! read more

This target will get the job done, but I try to avoid it if I can. In general, I find its cleanliness to leave something to be desired. The last time I stopped by the make-up area was out of stock of entire brands. I don't understand how the L'Oreal, Maybelline, and Almay areas can literally be out of everything. The registers seem to always be understaffed regardless of the time of day. Their staff is hit or miss. Occasionally I have met friendly staff, but usually they seem to be annoyed by your presence. My last complaint is the parking garage. It is a big garage which is nice, but the layout is extremely dangerous. I have seen so many nearly missed collisions in that garage. I usually go to the Target at the waterfront instead of this one. read more

I was looking for a particular newly released CD and according to Target.com this location had 4 in stock so I stopped by this location on my way home after work. I went to the new release section of CDs and couldn't find it. I even went to the specific genre of music and still couldn't find it. So I then went over to the electronics customer service desk and showed one the employees the CD I was looking for on my phone and that they should have 4 in stock and that I couldn't find any. He then checks a hand held scanner and says "Yeah it says we have 4 in stock." No, really?! He then said that maybe the CDs were put in a different place by another customer and told me to go back and look again and then walked away like he couldn't be bothered. Not offering to help me look or even to check and see if there were any in the back. So much for customer service. I then spent 20 minutes checking every CD they had looking for the CD I wanted. No luck so I just left pissed! This was my favorite Target but, that is quickly changing the other way. read more

Um, no one told me the Apocalypse happened here... OK, I lied. Maybe it just happened in the produce section. I really thought this Target was going to make all my dreams come true. A place where I could buy a hot dress, pick up some unnecessary crap and shop for some fruits, veggies and meat. All conveniently in one place. Not so much... I breezed past the clothing section, which as I had heard, was a bit smaller than most to add room for the larger grocery section. I was OK with that, knowing that there would be a fabulous and shiny grocery section to greet me. What I found though.... Was a post end of days scramble. A stray apple, some onions and maybe a couple varieties of meat. It's no Super Target, that's fo sho! I will say, I did buy some pretty amazing Teriyaki Beef that I grilled up to perfection. But that was probably the only win. Oh, that and the awesome cart escalator that made me want to hop in the cart and ride it up (what, no one does that?). In all honesty, the produce section was obviously cleared out for a reason. People want this kind of thing in the neighborhood. Let's just keep up with the demand peeps. There isn't usually a reason to review chains like Target, but this Target is not like the other Targets in Pittsburgh. So here's the skinny: If you have ever been to the Target on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, this Target is the same set up! I like that this Target has a plethora of free, covered parking with security guards. Also, the separate people and cart escalators are fantastic to get up to the shopping level. This Target also comes equipped with a Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express. Otherwise, this Target is pretty standard as compared to other Targets. It's a bit smaller, although the freezer and prepared foods sections are pretty impressive. It can get really picked over, but it fills a void in the area. read more
