When it comes to quality vs price, quality is always my choice. From the time I entered the store I met with and worked with Nathan who understood my needs for a new dining table and chairs and went over options. Everything they sell here is natural wood, no veneers, particle board, or whatever. Many of the items are imported from countries like Malaysia but they also have US made Amish wood furniture as well. There is no pressure to buy and you are always guaranteed the lowest possible price excluding sale and clearance merchandise. The highest prices are Amish made followed by a Canadian brand. I was interested at first in a drop leaf table and Nathan told me both the pros and cons of owning one of those. What's nice is that depending upon the manufacturer you choose you can mix and match coordinating chairs to your like as well as buy as many as you need as opposed to an entire set. They work within your budget and while everything is pricey you are getting what you pay for. I was told up front that from the time I make a selection it could take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to have it sent and then they arrange for you to either pick it up or pay a standard delivery and installation fee. If you are still not ready to take delivery when it arrives then they will hold the merchandise in store for a set amount of time when you can get it. What's nice about the delivery fee is that it is valid for one year from the time of your 1st purchase if you later decide you want to purchase more furniture. Nathan did state that although it is solid wood, it is subject to the same wear and tear you would expect from any wood over time. He gave me the measurements of the table sets I was considering so I could measure them in my kitchen. In addition you can choose whatever wood combination mix for the item you are buying. Whether you want oak, maple, or cherry, there are swatches for each product as well as upholstery choices if the model you select has room for a chair cushion. They do offer 12 month interest free financing with a credit card company should you choose to pay in installments. I like the fact that I could take pictures to see my potentials at home as well as "test" out the various chair options with the models I was considering. Tables and chairs now come in different sizes for those who like counter height vs traditional as well as high legged chairs and benches. I was very pleased with my visit and having gleaned enough information to make an informed decision I will return here shortly to purchase the dining set that best meets my needs. Room Concepts is family owned and operated and has only 2 locations. The other showroom is in Wexford, PA but you can get an idea of what they carry online. They offer a 1 year warranty on structural components. Furniture is an investment and when I purchase, it is something that I want to last for a long time. read more

If you're looking to redecorate your home, and your budget is unlimited, this is the place to be. If you find yourself underwhelmed by the multitude of couch/loveseat/chair combos, just ask for their swatch books. Everything they sell comes in at least six colors. And any color you could think of. Even prints. Everything seemed to be really sturdy, and well crafted. The sales woman, Cathy, told us how everything in the store was either crafted by Amish, or in Canada. She was very helpful, and answered all of my questions quickly, and didn't make me feel pressure at all. I really wish I had $2k to drop on a new couch for my dog to sleep on all day. I needed several rooms of furniture for my new home. It was an overwhelming task for me trying to make so many decisions. The staff was extremely helpful and patient with me. Barb and Nathan showed me numerous options without ever pressuring me and I sincerely appreciated their guidance. I was informed up front that my furniture would take 6-9 months. Both Nathan and Justin updated me on the delivery status. They take great pride in their business and customer service. My furniture order was delivered with great care by the delivery men. I also have to mention the convenience of the carpet store, Floor Concepts, in the same building as the North store. Great store. Lots of quality pieces. They have a large range of prices, depending on what you are hoping to spend, and the helpful salespeople can walk you around and show you different options. We bought one of their more reasonably priced couches a year ago. It is comfortable and is holding up very well. read more

Just a little disclaimer: I haven't actually bought furniture here YET. However, if you're wondering about their customer service, it's impeccable. Since most of their sofas (that aren't on the show floor) take up to 8 weeks to be delivered, I ended up not purchasing anything. Even when Cathy knew I wasn't going to purchase anything, she provided me with tons of information on stuff to look for in a good sofa to make my search easier. I'll be returning in the future when I have the money to spend on high-quality coffee/side tables. They were BEAUTIFUL and I can't wait to return :) read more

Their prices are higher than most competitors, but their quality is also generally superior. However, their service is wholly lacking. Don't count on delivery times at all. Their business strategy is a classic example of over promising and under-delivering. They are completely unapologetic when they fail to meet their promises. I am so glad I found Room Concepts! I recently moved to the South Hills area and was so disappointed in the poor quality of the furniture and dated styles I found at local stores. Thankfully, Room Concepts came up on one of my Google searches. What a find! A family owned business with wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable sales staff. And what a selection of beautiful, quality furniture. So many options to customize it exactly as you want it. Initially, I bought bedroom furniture and a dinette set. Then I went back for family room furniture (sofa and chairs), and the leather is just scrumptious. I just received the most beautiful, well built dining room furniture that I was able to "design" (i.e., make wood, style, and fabric selections) to match an old hutch that I wanted to keep. What a pleasure it is dealing with these people! You can find less expensive furniture, and you can find more expensive furniture. But you will not find this quality of furniture at such reasonable prices anywhere else! read more
