I truly didn't want to write this review as I thought the company would make things right but I have never had such a poor experience with a furniture company in my life. Start to finish buying from Arhaus and working with the sales person at Shadyside has been a 100% regret. I knew exactly the bed and dresser I wanted which I found after a lot of research online. The only thing I wanted to know was what the color looked like in person rather than stock pictures. I used the chat button on the website and was (unfortunately) connected to Diana Rymer who quickly sent me store images and provided me with her contact info (she didn't need to do much work/convincing other then charge my credit card for the items). Diana was very responsive and answered my emails and calls immediately*, unfortunately after Diana locked in my sale all of that changed. I placed my order in early Nov and received my bed frame after about 2 weeks. The shipping company caused additional damages to the already damaged bed upon assembly (for which Arhaus charges about $200 for white glove BTW) creating extra drill holes and cracking in the wood. The entire bed had scuffs and damaged corners and nothing lined up ( the delivery/assembly people told us this was just the quality of the bed) They also managed to damage our freshly renovated walls. On the same day as I received the bed I reached out to Diana R my sales person - who promised to be available to help throughout the process and she was nowhere to be found. I must have called the store 10+ times over the next 3 days trying to get in touch with her and was told she was "busy" or with a "client" every single time. The people answering the phone at this store would decline to help as they weren't "the person your working with" or would simply tell me Diana would call back. She never did. Nor did she respond to my emails. The worst part was that after my efforts to get in touch with this "sales" person failed I reached out to every customer care email I could find for Arhaus and got a response only after a little over a week asking for photos ( which I had already provided in my initial emails). Finally the manager for this store got in touch with me weeks later, but it was already too late as I had expressed my concerns directly to the Regional Manager for the company. I understand the Diana may have nothing to do with the quality of the bed frame, BUT as a long time sales person for this company ( based on LinkedIn) I would expect much better customer service. Not just a grab the money and run tactic. I found it baffling how responsive and friendly Diana was before charging me for the bedroom set and how bluntly she ignored me after making her commission off me and I needed to reach her with my concerns about the damaged items. Clearly as far as employees of this store go and customer Service they provide I can 100% say it has been the worst most unprofessional ordeal. My family is now left with zero bedroom furniture since we rejected the replacement they provided via the Regional manager which also arrived badly damaged and nonfunctional Plus It has been two months of us trying to get our refund and we still haven't received a penny back. This has been the worst most stressful holiday season thanks to "high end, luxury brand" Arhaus. We are now scrambling to find whatever bedroom set is available to ship asap so we have something to sleep on besides the floor. read more

Terrible company and horrible customer service. We spent $7k on couches and have been stuck in limbo as to when we will receive them. I tried to call their customer service but was told they would have to call me back Tuesday of next week. (Today is Friday) When I pressed for what the expectation would be waiting that long I was told that nothing could be done and that their manager calling me was only a formality. In short just pure disappointment and still unclear where we stand. Be cautious of any company that has no return policy as it is clear their customer service isn't prepared to do much more than offer mediocre support with very little value. Will follow this through but unless you are looking for heartburn, pay the extra money and go elsewhere. read more

It is hard for me to write a review for Arhaus that is brief enough that people will actually read it. For those of you reading and saying TLDR, let me sum it up for you: top notch customer service throughout the entire experience and fabulous furniture that we are thrilled to own! My husband and I worked with Patricia at the Arhaus in Shadyside. She was fantastic. She was friendly, but not pushy, while we initially perused the store. We were pleased with the variety, styles, and quality of the furniture and decor items we saw. After discussing our thoughts with Patricia, she scheduled and did a free in-home consultation with us. During the consultation she could see the sizes and shapes of our rooms and the existing furniture items that we planned to keep. She also made note of what we really needed to help our spaces function better (more book storage, anyone?) and she took photos of our fireplaces and some of our art and prints. She then integrated all of that information and some of the pieces we liked in the store into design photos so that we could see how different pieces looked together and how they looked with our art and fireplaces. We emailed back and forth as we narrowed down our choices and her replies were always timely and helpful. When we went into the store to meet with her again, we had made most of our picks, but needed help with a few final pieces and with picking out fabrics that would stand up to our lifestyle. She was great! She even threw in the idea of a desk that I hadn't even noticed in the store the first time and probably wouldn't have chosen for myself. I decided to give it a try and, frankly, it was an amazing spot on pick for the space and my favorite piece of furniture in our whole house. As some of the custom pieces would take longer to manufacture and deliver than others, we chose to have our furniture delivered as it became available. So, we got three different deliveries - no extra charge! Everything was delivered in the time frame that we were told to expect and the scheduling and delivery staff were courteous and as careful as they could be given some of the narrow spaces they had to get through in our 120 year old house. When our console table was damaged in transit, they gave us the option of taking that one and using it while a new one was shipped from the factory. Again, at no extra charge - just to help give us something to use while they obtained and delivered the replacement. Taking care of a problem before it becomes my headache - priceless. Would NOT recommend. Purchased couch in June, 2020. Was told it would be on backorder and be delivered in August. Couch was shipped in August. It is now October (3.5 months after purchase; more than 1 month after shipping). Arhaus cannot locate the couch. Despite multiple calls to the online customer service and the purchasing store in Pittsburgh, there has been no solution or resolution. Again, would NOT recommend Update 10/28 - after numerous additional phone calls and follow up, the staff and the management worked diligently to locate the furniture. The furniture was ultimately delivered and it appeared to be a problem with the delivery company. The staff was friendly and had a positive attitude. Arhaus reimbursed the delivery fee as well as gave a discount due to delay. Overall, there was a problem but the team did work to rectify the problem; I am happy with the furniture and service. Despite the initial issues, I would continue to purchase from the company and would recommend the company to others hoping that the delivery problem was a rare fluke. read more

I purchased a coop in January 2020 and it needed to be furnished. In mid March I started to see advertisements from Arhaus on my social media feed and decided to take a look. They had great sales during this time. They had the perfect couch for me along with a few other items. Since my building has size restrictions that won't allow most traditional couches I ordered a sectional couch. I selected the Coburn style. I also ordered an entertainment center and nesting tables. I live in metro NYC. When I called in to speak with a designer she was located in the Pittsburgh Shadyside location. I sent her my floor plan with my selections and she plugged them into the space which was very helpful. It really gave me a good idea as to how the furniture would fit within my space. Unfortunately the Pandemic had begun and my building went into a lockdown. During this time I could not receive any deliveries. The representatives at Arhaus were excellent during this time and told me to notify them when the building reopened. It reopened during Phase One and I scheduled delivery. The delivery was very organized and I received a text, phone call and email notification with my appointment. Delivery was on time and professionally installed. After installation the delivery guy took a bunch of pictures and had me speak directly to a customer service representative to make sure all went well. The furniture was professionally packed. Every piece was in perfect condition and it was exactly what I expected. High quality and nicely designed. I would definitely recommend this company and will be shopping there in the future. They did an excellent job from start to finish. read more

We had a wonderful customer experience with Arhaus. We visited the store several times before we moved into our new home to look at dining tables. After we closed we ended up purchasing the Kensington table online. I decided to engage with an online designer, Jillian, to get some clarification on the chair color that would best match the table. There were so many choices and the finishes in some cases were very similar. Jillian was able to help me decide on chairs and she also used my builder floor plan to lay out my table to ensure I chose the right size. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get instant design help. I will admit that I've been intimidated in the past to use the store designers but Jillian was great to work with. I came here after seeing these adorable little wall mounted glass-blown vases at a salon. The stylist recommended the store and the next day I stopped by. Overall I love the style of furniture; it's modern but still homey and not too contemporary. It's in a part of town where parking can be an issue, but luckily, they have a lot for customer parking. Upon entering, I was greeted by staff who didn't hover over me as I checked the place out which is always nice. I found the vases I wanted and since I'm from Orlando, the lady helping me informed me it can be shipped no problem and we completed the order at the counter. It is a pricier place for furniture but they have some great quality and unique pieces, so this just depends on what you are looking for. Some styles I think could be found similar elsewhere but I saw some particular things that wouldn't be an easy find, live edge burl end tables/chairs or odd wine buffet cabinets. read more

Just don't. After spending a fortune on custom furniture, and being promised 8-10 week delivery (12 week max), we are on the 15th week with at least another 2-3 weeks to go! Neither the sales woman nor the Arhaus personal concierge called to keep me informed of the status of my order (which they promised to do). Then, every time I called to speak with one of them directly, they were never available and never returned my calls. I have received 3 different invoices, all with different totals. If I could cancel my order, I would have done it weeks ago!!! read more

We have now, over the last 12 years bought two couches from Arhaus. That, in itself, should tell you that the couches, though we payed around $8000 for them, had no lasting power. The second one we bought seemed to take months to get it right. We only bought the second one because they were willing to give us a credit towards the first one. The first couch they "built" for us was soft, started sagging in the first week and the fabric, which had looked great in the showroom and came with all kinds of bells and whistles as far as warranties go, started spouting threads in that first week. And we had to wait about three months for it. The second one was firmer but started extruding feathers after the second or third month. To make a long story short, please do really shop around. You would probably get better furniture at Costco or Sam's club, than at Arhaus. read more

I have furnished 90 percent of my home with Arhaus items including a sectional sofa, chair and ottoman, accent tables, lamps, dining table and chairs, etc. The upholstered items are very comfortable but the furniture finishes are somewhat problematic. I have tried a variety of different furniture cleaners and polishes and cannot restore the surface without smudging and streaking. The sales staff members are very friendly and knowledgeable, I have dealt with 3 staff members over the past 5 years and have been pleased with their expertise and service. All in all, I am a satisfied customer. I recommend this company if you are looking for contemporary furniture with a traditional flair. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I felt led to warn people before they purchase from here. Quality control is hideous. I bought a berwick leather chair and couch back on Dec 2020. The chair started making this unbelievably loud noise 7 months later. I live by myself with 10 hr work days so I know the chair was hardly sat on. Arhaus sends this guy by the name of Andy from a furniture repair company to look at the chair. He turns the chair over, looks underneath the chair and says there isn't anything wrong with it. I told him of my concern about a busted spring in the chair because the noise is so loud. He tells me to rub leather conditioner on it. Are you serious?? Of course I tried the conditioner but the noise just keeps getting louder. I contacted the arhaus Consierge after i rubbed the lotion on it and she told me that since there is no Structural damage to the chair, there is nothing they can do and my case was closed.PLEASE Think twice before purchasing from here. This furniture store contracts with Howards Towing to tow parked cars from their lot even when the store has long been closed. The store is located in a busy spot with restaurants, so parking is tight. Howards Towing has eyes on the lot to tow unsuspecting motorists who think they can dash in for take out in 12 minutes at 9 pm at night. Not so. I'm from out of town so I didn't know businesses hired watch dog tow truck companies to zoom in within seconds of leaving the car. Howards Towing charges $200 to get the car back. Howard's Towing also scored an 'F' with the Better Business Bureau due the extent of complaints against them. If Arhaus Furniture supports such parking scams and can't share a space for a few minutes of take out for neighboring restaurant patrons, I cant' support their public relations business ethic and will not shop there. read more

Arhaus sells beautiful, beefy, traditional furniture for an equally large ticket. This store is surprisingly large, and I loved that it displays such an extensive selection. After I'd been in the store at least 5 minutes, an eccentric associate greeted me. Beautiful designs and friendly staff. But, this Arhaus is very disappointing in regard to the execution of the orders. We had multiple furniture pieces delivered damaged and after contacting them, they brought replacements. Also, the orders will never be delivered on the time agreed when making the purchase. Expect delays and nonexistent costumer service! Its really a shame considering the very high prices! Arhaus is really a hit-or-miss experience, too often a miss. I have found some nice small things there but for upholstery or furniture, be careful and don't but on impulse. I don't find the staff to be so knowledgeable or concerned at all. Last week they delivered an armoire that was seven inches narrower and five inches less deep than advertised. When I called to discuss the discrepancies, all they offered was to come and pick it up "at no additional charge". Phone calls and emails to their corporate office go unanswered. I checked today and the web site STILL has the wrong dimensions up. You can find better merchandise at similar prices if you shop around. read more

I really hate to do this because I love the way a lot of furniture here LOOKS. When we first got our home, we purchased about 50% of our household furniture from Arhaus. At the time, we believed we were buying heirloom pieces. However, after living with the furniture, we noticed much of it was expensive (insert word a little less harsh than "junk"). Sloppy glue jobs, trim pieces breaking off easily, particle board, etc. In fact, we replaced most of our Arhaus things within ten years. For the prices, I expect a minimum of dovetailed drawers, mostly solid wood, and top of the line craftsmanship. In my opinion, the only things that separate Arhaus from Roomful Express or Speedy's are a slightly more stylish selection and the astronomical prices. I went with Arhaus because I thought it really must be very high quality. I still don't know which furniture store around here makes the best things, but I know it is not this one :( read more
