Wide variety of shoppes. Nice place to make a day of visiting. Walking the plaza areas or taking a walk or ride thru the trail near the Mon River. Plenty of restaurants from fast food to upscale. AMC Theatre , Dave & Busters, Rock Bottom Brewery, and many other great places. Often have live music in the courtyard during weekends and holidays. Excellent family environment. Highly recommended.

Was in town for a few nights and staff at our hotel recommended checking out the Waterfront. It's great to see towns reinvent themselves. In this case taking an old steel mill location and creating a fun outdoor and shopping area for everyone. The trails along the river are awesome and you wouldn't know what the area had been before redevelopment. There's plenty of restaurants, shopping, hotels and other services. Plenty of free parking is also a nice bonus. I would definitely go on a regular basis if I lived in the area.

COME VISIT THE WATERFRONT IN PITTSBURGH, AND SHOP AT THE SAME STORES THAT ARE IN THE MALL IN YOUR HOMETOWN! Seriously, other than a small handful of unique shops & eateries, it's your local mall. But the layout, scenery & decorations are nicer. If you're a hardcore shopper, you'll think it's great. If not, you'll find yourself standing next to me, looking around and wondering what you're doing there.

I love the Waterfront concept and its location is so conducive to my shopping here. There are many restaurants that appeal to me (especially Uno's and TGIF) and some discount type shops I love (Marshall's). However, significant stores and restaurants are leaving. Macy's has already left and Best Buy and Mitchell's Fish Market are on the list to vacate. AMC Lowe's for movies is the biggest draw for me next to restaurants on the GAP rail trail for after biking food. I have to admit that the shops in the courtyard I hardly ever frequent, though I did have occasion to visit Verizon and Xfinity the other day, as well as Loft (which I determined too expensive for what I wanted). Without Macy's I cannot say this is a one-stop shopping experience.

Came to PA to see a comedian I really like and decided to do some shopping. This was located right across from our hotel. It's an outdoor mall with various stores filled with the latest fashions, accessories, home dècor and more. The shopping plaza is very walkable with sidewalks for you to get around to the shops. There are several eateries and quick grab snack shops for you to enjoy in the midst of your shopping spree. We traveled here in November so it was colder being on water front, however I imagine the summer time is a great way to spend a day here. There's also a movie theater if you want to take a break from shopping and catch the latest movies. The grounds around this area were very clean and well maintained. We didn't notice any garbage or waste laying around. Also there is plenty of free parking so that's another plus.

While we lived in Squirrel Hill, The Waterfront was our go-to spot. There are so many things to do there, and it was super convenient for us. From restaurants, to shopping, to river trails and views, plus Costco, it is a fantastic spot.

Like most shopping centers this location is filled with store you'd find in your local hometown, however, what makes this place a bit different is that not only are they all clumped into one location this location is designed to be shopper friendly. The walkways and common area are beautiful and we just happened to be here as they decorated for the holidays. There are hopscotch paths painted for kids to have fun, even and adult or two can join in. Seating for parents to relax while their kids run around in the green grass of the center common area. If I lived closer I'd shop here more frequently.

So hot outside so nice inside with AC at Waterfront in AMC theater ordered Flatbread, chicken tenders with BBQ sauce and honey mustard, nacho with cheese and movie. Watching F9. Place is covid safe and clean. No need mask if full vaccinated. So relaxing.

Shop till you drop! This place has an excellent variety of stores, eateries, and entertainment all close to home.

I live only 15 minutes from The Waterfront and really enjoy shopping and dining here. Though I like the old charm of some parts of Pittsburgh, The Waterfront is a nice, modern getaway. THE PROS -Many of my favorite retailers and restaurants including Target, Loft, Gap, Costco, Ulta, TJ Maxx, Panera, and LongHorn -Beautiful Loews movie theater (not to be confused with home improvement store Lowe's, which is also at The Waterfront) -Easy to navigate -Minimal traffic, even on the weekends, particularly compared to areas like The Mall at Robinson or Settler's Ridge -Easy and free to park, especially considering the parking challenges and costs at nearby South Side Works or Shadyside THE CONS -Primarily chain stores and restaurants (would love a local boutique or two!) -Relatively frequent "incidents," likely due to surrounding areas with higher crime -Terrible Giant Eagle location that has the longest wait time to check out and the most inept employees

For many years my husband and I have visited Squirrel Hill, mostly to shop and dine. We always park our vehicle in a garage. We recommend putting a bit more money into the parking meter than you expect to need, because we have seen a police officer writing many parking tickets for vehicles in that garage. Most recently, my husband and I did a self-designed food tour in several restaurants on Murray Avenue and Forbes Avenue. We ate at T-Swirl Crepe, Waffallonia, Amazing Dumplings, Commonplace Coffee, and Hidden Harbor. We also shopped in Panda Supermarket, Chocolate Moose, and Ebisu and spent time in the Carnegie Library. Previously we enjoyed eating at Kiin Lao & Thai Eatery, Ramen Bar, Kyo Matcha, Mango Mango, etcetera. We always appreciate how the business district has a diverse population and international cuisine, is very walkable, and feels safe.

It's because my theme is a progressive dinner style around Asian restaurants. I saw a lot of storefronts on Forbes that were covered with coming soon building wraps. They were all Asian restaurants. That's a good sign. For sure, it's a progress with economic prosperity in this neighborhood. I stayed at an Airbnb with walking distance to the center of the attention. My only gripe was that not many restaurants open on Sunday morning. But I enjoyed my morning stroll alone to witness the fall colors. That's a bonus on this trip. I could never see this sight in Houston Texas, where I'm from.

This has been my worst retail experience in that regard hands down. Besides that this particular cashier was just lousy. I had to ask if her lane was open because she never looked up as I approached.
