Don't get me wrong, I do like the clothing carried in the store for the most part. However I have never walked into this store without receiving some sort of attitude from the owner. In fact the last time I walked in, I was told that they were closing soon (in ten minutes according to the sign), and was pretty much asked to leave the store. On another occasion I walked in with a covered Starbucks drink and was told that I "better not intend on touching anything while carrying my beverage". I never walk into the store and feel welcome. Mind you, I look more or less just like everyone else who frequents Walnut Street, so it definitely isn't any sort of discrimination. Unfortunately I think it's just a regular occurrence. My friend has experienced similar things when shopping there and until recently, thought it was her fault that after buying $600 worth of jeans, she was abruptly told that it wasn't the store's fault that "she only found a few pairs because she is oddly shaped". Ouch.
So sadly, despite the fact that few boutiques in Pittsburgh carry the lines that E.B. Pepper does, I'd rather shop online and have a bigger selection and no abruptly rude service. Oh we'll :( read more
