I received poor customer service on two occasions. My phone was badly damaged and I was trying to replace the phone at the Verizon store (adjacent to the southland mall off W. Winton ). They did not allow me to buy a new phone because I was not an "authorized user" on the account. This is a business account and I am the sole owner of the business, and pay the bill every month so how was I not authorized to replace my broken phone? The customer service prevention team took every opportunity to treat me like a fraud and deny the service. I try to put myself in their position but I can't think of anything that makes sense. Did they suspect that a crook acting as me would fraudulently purchase a new phone? When I called Verizon to fix the problem they were very helpful and stated that the Verizon store on La Playa should have been able to hep me solve this problem in the store. It was easier for them to deny the service than go the extra mile for the customer. read more

I have always received excellent information, products and service at this store. I had been treated bad at Fremont Hub Verizon store. I walked into the South land Mall Verizon and it was completely different. Zaira knew what she was doing. She was amazing. I wanted to transfer my photos from my phone to my SD card. I came here early Nov to buy a new phone but left with having purchased a screen protector and battery they had told me were included with the phone. The reps were nice enough, but they intentionally mislead you in order to make a sale. Shame on me for believing something that was too good to be true I guess, but I also found out when I saw the bill for the month that I had been signed up for a Verizon protection plan that they had not even mentioned to me. I did not give permission to the salesperson. I looked this up online and found out this was a common occurrence. Question everything and ask for receipts. Better yet, just buy things online where you can read everything carefully. These people have horrible, unethical business practices. In fact, just check glassdoor where you'll see sales reps are encouraged to lie to customers to sell phone accessories. Great job guys. You made the sale. read more

Both my husband and I called on different occasions to reserve smart phones. They said over the phone that they would reserve them for us until 5pm. We arrived at 4pm to find out that they decided to sell them. The girl at the front desk told us that they actually don't reserve and their boss said that if someone else wants to purchase them, they will give up the reserved phones. Of they really don't this kind d of favor for their customers, they should just say that over the phone so people can avoid a wasted trip. read more

Not satisfied at I have been there so many times. I thought I was moving to a better carrier but I should have stayed with T-mobile. When they transferred my husband it didn't work so I had to go back to tmoble until it was unlocked to go back to them. I have been waiting sense March 21st for my phone case and it still hasn't come! ( today is April 11th) They are good at charging you but not getting stuff in a timely matter. When ever my case comes in that will be the last time I step in that store again. Didn't realize they charged 50$ per phone for moving over. I guess I am the dumb one for doing it! read more

I came in the store about three months ago. A gentleman named Howard assisted me quickly and was even nice enough to offer me the "Mother's Day Special", a free tablet. As I knew I'd get charged for the monthly service so I declined. Howard then said they were just trying to get rid of them and would gladly disconnect the service so I could only use it on WiFi. I mean who doesn't like free stuff! Later on, I noticed a monthly bill for an additional device. I contacted Customer Service to explain what Howard had agreed to disconnect the service on my tablet before giving to me. The representative responded, "You cannot purchase a tablet without the line". So I decided to cancel the line. Now Verizon is charging me $250 cancellation fee for a tablet I initially did not want.. but tricked into getting just so an employee could get paid commission from it. I tried contacting Howard at the store but he no longer works there. After 10 years of being with Verizon, I have never felt so betrayed and robbed the way this store made me feel. Please take your business to an actual Verizon Store with better and genuine customer service. Not an authorized retailer because they will do anything to trick you for their own pocket's benefit. Terrible experience with this store. First of all when we first walked in we did not get a greeting or any assistance and there was only one other customer in the store with five associates. When we finally asked one of the guys to help he was helpful. Thing thing that got them one star is the fact that after we had purchased the phone a month later I noticed that I was getting charged for phone insurance that I never agreed on buying. After coming back to the store to tell them that I did not authorize the insurance they said that they will cancel it and reimburse the charges. Two months later never got any kind of reimbursement of any kind and the insurance was still charging me. Had to go back and tell them again and now they say there is no way to get my money back. I ALWAYS have the best luck coming here & never have any problems. I was in last week & met, Lizette? I think her name was. Blue hair. SUPER SWEET & professional woman. After looking ALL DAY at the actual Verizon stores, being turned away from the Union City location bc I didnt have an appointment- even though Verizon online chat said I didn't need one. I finally decided to call Hayward. Anyways, I talked to Lizette on the phone & wanted a second opinion on the phone I was dying to get compared to the new Galaxy S20 that they carried - she got so into detail about each phone unique specs & what she liked about each one. I came in and she was very welcoming & professional- even when there was another customer getting irritated and giving her a hard time. She was a pro. I ended up going with the Galaxy S20 & I love it :) ill be back to switch my apple watch soon! Even though they're a third party Verizon store - I think they're a lot better then the actual Verizon retailer locations. Keep doing what you're doing. Just walked out of this place I walked in with intention to switching over to Verizon service. I understand all the reps have someone they are helping but not a single rep acknowledged me not even to say hi ma'am someone will be with you shortly. This place is the shady equivalent of a used car sales dealership. Do not trust anything these people tell you or try to sell you. I wanted so bad to leave Verizon after trying to get a replacement here but did not want to lose my company discount. Walked out and went to Union City intent on speaking to a manager there as I was done speaking to ill qualified, dumber than a 5th grader in math sales associates. Sweet Jesus I got to Union City and what an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE. I met David who was not a manager yet provided Phenomenal customer service. He had is tablet out to show me pricing and options and then went to paper to list out the breakdown. I stopped by this Verizon store after work, so it was around 7:30 or so. I was having a problem recharging my Android phone. The woman who helped me could not have been any more helpful. There was no pressure to buy a new phone, she offered me several options on ways I could solve this problem without buying a new phone (since my plan wasn't up for renewal yet and I was ineligible to get a new phone at a decent price). When it comes time to get a new phone, this is where I will go. I have been to the Verizon Store at Union Landing and not only are they always extremely busy and I have to wait, but they have high pressure salespeople who often turn me off. Came here because I really needed to get an iphone 6 and they were the only spot with no wait. most of the stores I went to had about 2 hr. wait. I will say that the store has clueless workers. I was helped by Olivia. She was the nicest person to deal with. Before she helped me out the guy whom I thought was going to help me was very upset and told the other guy "I clocked out! ALEX! can you help the next customer....very loud....I thought it was very rude. LOL! put my order in had to call to check on my phone but they couldn't find it, when I finally spoke to Olivia she located the phone and I picked it up. I was again greeted by the rude young boy from the week prior and was soooo relieved when Olivia walked out to the rescue. Simply and straight in mind that, I am going to purchase the iPhone and Plan.So pictures was so very clear for me to go and get the deal done. Walk in to the store. No one nearly walk to me. Feel like no one even greet custmors. You will be treated better in your neighborhood convenience store in terms of hey how are you doing today. Then i have to walk towards the Rep to make sure i can get needed help. He say hi to me. So i ask him that i want to get new plan and iPhone. He show me the Banner in store. So i have to ask him can you explain. However any question i ask him. He did not know any answer. That was not his fault as he was new as he told me. So he have to ask every single question i ask to his associate CLAUDIA So i told them i will wait until i can get proper help and right answer so i dont make nay mistake. so i ask them to tell me 4about there post paid plan and prepaid. Instead of explaining they gave me a piece of paper with plan and told me to read it off it. so none was explained. That was worst customer service. I told them after long thinking came to conclusion that i want Verizon and came in mind to get the service for sure. They told they have to run my credit first. I said its ok as my its should approve with Flying colors. So in order for them to help/provide information they have to do that. I agree to let them run credit. So after running my credit they told me it didn't approve. While, I got notification that my credit was run by Verizon as, I monitor my Credit. I show and told the people who work there that its not possible that my credit is not approved and show them my credit score. So they gave me a number to call to talk to them regarding that. Well i called that number they said the same thing that its not approved. Well turned out after calling them second time that they put my FIRST name as LAST name and last name as first. While the run my application they have my driver id right in front of them. How can they make that mistake, Well go figure. However calling them again and clarifying things it got approved as the verizon team made a mistake by inputting wrong information of my name. OK, So my credit was approved. So now as i told them that lets go with the plan and 256 gig phone as i told you before. Here comes another hit, They told me they dont have 256 gig in store. That i was not make aware before only after running credit. And i only and only wanted the 256 gig. i ask her that she can give me any phone or loner phone that i can make call or text at least i will wait for the 256 gig as that what i want. They said they dont give nay loaner and they cant' give me any phone period.So they told me it will be another 70 dollar restocking fee and wait period.Why charge me with 70$ from me when you didnt tel me ahead of time about what you have and what you dont. So i have to pay for there mistake. t they dont have it. What a disappointment. I would have walk out the door right away. But my credit was ran already so i odnt want it go to waste. My be some people understand that some dont. And the sales rep. have guts to tell me that it dont matter. If it dont matter why you even ran my credit if credit doesnt matter why care of course it matter. Now lest see what happen next. At this point they way the talked to me treated me was horrible. I was like give 64 gig Silver. Guess what they did not have Silver. And again it was not told me to me. Now my one and only option to have only one tehy have in store. Spending all that money ran my credit and still have no option. Great huh.Not to mention the attitude was horrible cant explain in words. Now only option and color i have to pick is one so no option and i choose that.At this point it was blood boiling experience. i was like you know enough just give me the phone i will pay and i wanna walk out of here and never come back. So they did came with iPhone. And guess what she said. She cant sell me this phone exactoly she cant sell this phone. And you have any idea why?? As per these phones in store comes with 2 bundles. In order for me to get the plan and phone I HAVE TO HAVE BUY one of these bundles.Otherwise she cant do that. One bundle was 100$ and comes with screen protector charger and stuff And second bundle was everything above plus a Tablet. I told her all i need is a plan and iPhone no bundle. I do not need anything other than that. She told me she cant do that. So i was so very mad and ask her come i was not make aware of that you cant sell without the bundle. WHY IN THE WORLD they didnt tell me before they run my credit. What kind of business ethics are those?? Thats how you treat valued customer during xmas season. The manager, Orlando, was top notch. He was very through and informative with all the different phones available to our Marine who just got back from boot. Our Marine settled on the iPhone 5s. Orlando set her up w the Edge Plan and she even got the tablet for $10 per mo. We went w the Edge Plan which is basically financing your phone for the same amount if she went w the 2 yr contract. The difference is, she didn't have to pay for the phone upfront, activation fee was waived, and she can start establishing credit. Orlando took his time to explain the plan where we finally understood it. Thank you, Orlando, for being very knowledgeable, patience, and giving the best customer service to our US Marine. read more

I went in with my hubby and kids and Jorge met with us promptly. I was nervous how this was going to go because of some of the reviews on here but it actually was a great experience for us. He was really helpful and nice trying to help us get the best deal for an upgrade and lower our monthly bill. He was really chill and was going as quick as possible which is what I was hoping for bc my two kids were getting fussy. They were getting hungry and he even gave us a candy bar to give them which helped ease their fussing a little longer but hey he tried AND my hubby and I both walked out with new phones so I'm happy. 5 stars here for great customer service read more

Outstanding customer service. Both my husband and I got new phones and in the past at a different location took hours and the person didn't know what they were doing. Our rep Toni White-Wong had us in and out within an hour. The phone I wanted was in Fremont and she went and picked it up and I came back the next day. I'm not tech savvy and she was friendly and helpful and gave suggestions. They even helped my husband over the phone fix a problem when he locked himself out of his phone. They greet you when you walk in and continue to acknowledge your presence when they were busy. read more

8/28/2018 I was not planning on writing a review, but after I sat there and thought about how the DISTRICT MANAGER spoke to me.. I decided to go ahead and write about my experience. I went in on 8/27/18 to help get an understanding of why my bill was so expensive. A customer representative did let me know that my first bill will be high, but that is only because it would include the one time charges as well as the payment for the phone, the line, and the warranty. Which I understood and was okay with paying that. I then added another line because it was going to make my bill a little less expensive. Well, I was not aware nor told that if I added that third line about a week later that it would actually not benefit me. That I should just wait until my next cycle, that way I wont pay for extra charges all over again like I did in my first bill. Keep in mind that I went in to get an understanding of this whole situation. Well as I am speaking to the DISTRICT MANAGER about all of this he explains to me about how their system works. Keep in mind I don't work for a phone company nor do I have any experience in that department. Well, I get a little confused and try to repeat what he has told me so that I could understand the $433.75 phone bill for 3 lines. So I tell him to wait a minute so that I can follow what he is telling me. The DISTRICT MANAGER then decided to be sarcastic and say something along the lines of "well if you don't want me to repeat myself for you to understand, then i'll just stay quiet". So here is my problem with this.. 1. you are a DISTRICT MANAGER you should know better than to EVER speak to a customer that way.. 2. If I needed him to repeat something to me 3 times so that I could understand than that is what will need to happen. I did not choose his career for him, he did!!!!! At that I managed to keep my cool and ignore his comment. Also when I told the DISTRICT MANAGER about that someone should at least informed me that if I added the third line when I did, that it would not benefit me he responded with "well you were not going to get a free line for month". Yes, that's true but what does that have to do with just informing me. When my boyfriend asked will there be any charges? That is when he should of been informed! There was really no need for the sarcasm and disrespect. My boyfriend wanted to cancel the lines after I told him what happen, but I had already paid for the first bill and now the second bill. After this month our monthly bill should be less. We will see. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I never preordered before and decided to preorder the iPhone X for my bf birthday. First they called me asking if I'd like to preorder ( lie #1) they don't actually preorder they just put in a request for a phone. He showed up the pick up the phone and of course they didn't have the one I had thought I preordered,so they offer him the 64g.He said that's fine BUT the ONLY way he can get the iPhone was if he purchased the PACKAGE DEAL(lie #2) 150$ for a case, screen protector and tablet plus you have to pay the taxes (they ignored) he said no thanks I don't need the package we have an iPad, and already purchased the case.
