My phone battery and charge port committed suicide and left me in a bind and the Du Mobile folks came in with the life jacket to save the day. 6:30 PM my phone goes off the cliff, 7:30 I get to Du and 8:15 I have a brand new battery and charging port connector. No more finagling the lightning chord and the plug just to pray if my phone would charge...just so I can leave it on a marker slightly elevated to keep pressure at a specific point on my chord. Compared to spending $1500 on a new phone, their prices will save you an arm and a leg. They also unlock your phone too if you need it. I'll be back to replace my camera and screen in a couple of months. Things are tight at the moment which was why I was surprised at their pricing. Can't recommend these guys enough! read more

Based on that, I rearranged my schedule, changed my plans, and made the trip--only for them to completely waste my time. This isn't even my first experience with them. There's a REASON they ARE NOT ACCREDITED BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! Absolute con artists. I came here in a rush to fix a broke phone and was lied to and taken advantage of, given a price more than double what it should have cost. Unfortunately, I did not find out how much I was overcharged until months later when my screen broke again, and a shop in Newark quoted me less than half the price and made it clear that it doesn't matter how badly the screen is broken, replacement of screen should be same cost. I also noticed that while I was in the shop, an elderly customer came in with a phone that was barely cracked, and in fact only had a crack in his screen protector, not the actual screen, and they quoted him as if the screen was broken/ needed replacement, to take advantage of the fact the customer didn't realize it was only their screen protector broken, not the actual screen. It is unfortunate that I did not follow my gut instinct and take the time to browse and quote other places, I would have known sooner that I was overcharged and taken advantage of. They asked me and other customer to pay in cash and did not provide receipts. Another shady warning sign. I struggle to pay my bills and support my family, so it's pure greed and evil like this, where shop owners take advantage of peoples hard earned money just because they can. NO BBB ACCREDIT! Shady business. It's only a matter of time before people document your shady practices and report you. You never know who you're messing with or who is coming in to document their interactions. I should've gone to this place first. I went to uBreakifix in Union City. As soon as my husband and I walked in, it smelled like cannabis. But we were like, It's cool. I had an appointment at 6 pm, but I was there early and was able to get a quote. The lady gave us a quote for my broken screen of $150-$350. I thought that it would be like $100. Let her know that I would think about it. She looked high, lol. But no judgement; some peeps are able to do their job well. We left the store. Then, I forgot that there was DU MOBILE closer to my home. I called and spoke to Mike, the owner. He said it would be $100 and the wait time would be 15 minutes and didn't need an appointment.
