Everything I come to this Verizon, I get nothing but the best. Greeted by young man that needed someone else to assist with my phone crashing out on me, that made my screen turn black & it was on talk back mode as well ,going crazy...another young man named Ken took over and he was the sweetest and was working extra hard and mind you it was 6:45pm. I was that annoying customer that shows up 10 min before closing LOL. Ken went to get the manager Eli and he was fabulous! Kind,knowledgeable and what's so cool is, he blind! He the baddest guy ever! Daniel = Worst Verizon Rep Ever Walked into the store at 3:14pm -- plenty of daylight left -- but Daniel acted like the doors were about to lock. He rushed me nonstop, demanded I hop on the store WiFi like I was slowing him down, and had the nerve to ask me FOUR times if my account loaded, like I was wasting his time. Promised rebates that were never paid and they never gave money for a phone that was turned in and took multiple trips and talking with the manager to get rebates. Verizon has the worst customer service as a company DONT go with Verizon. They had me on hold for literally 3 hours before. I received a replacement phone but it's not able to send or receive texts. Also I lost every picture I had saved on my old phone. I've called numerous times with Noone being able to help. Chiming in to agree with all the negative reviews, with the caveat that this store was one of the reasons I HAD maintained my Verizon plan, knowing it HAD great service and knowledgeable staff. OMG have things changed there! Despite my appointment being made by a CORPORATE employee, they refused to provide the service that CORPORATE said they would. Is it my fault that there is an issue between this store and their corporate office? Nope. That is their problem to solve. Anyhoo, they rolled their eyes then refused to provide necessary service to someone who was obviously struggling with a simple tech issue. It would have taken them 2 minutes to fix the issue. Was sent here this afternoon (after 2:30 PM) by an online "customer service" rep named Arthur. When I arrived, Derrick was the only employee in the store and told me he couldn't help me with the pin I needed because their system had been down since noon. When I showed him photos of the chat session with Arthur online, he promptly tried to tell me that he wasn't even human and that it was a bot. Talk about trying to gaslight a customer into trying to believe a full line of PURE BS. He told me to come back tomorrow. As I walked out of the store, Derrick locked the door behind me and began closing the metal blinds. He didn't want any more customers interfering with his Saturday night plans. ...and this crappy customer service is STANDARD both online and in-store. Actually, online is far worse if you can believe that. I should've left Verizon *years* ago. Thus, don't be a fool like me and get out now, and go to a company who treats you like a human instead on the gaslighting, minimizing, lying, deceit and total indifference you get from Verizon employees. Horrible store. I have often found the employees have little or no desire to help. I have made appointments, but then was not contacted when my turn was ready. I have seen employees standing around (or going into the back) rather than help employees. Now, I was going to buy a new phone, and they said they would transfer the data for me. I made an appointment, and then - surprise - they said I would need to pay for the transfer. Why wasn't I told this when I made the appointment? According to the manager Elijah they only tell people when they are ready to do the procedure...so it seems like standard practice to mislead customers. After 17 years as a Verizon customer, I am considering switching carriers based on the surly staff here. I arrived twenty minutes before closing yesterday and the blinds were closed. An employee without a name tag (Milan) told me that the store is closed. He barked at me to wait when I mentioned the time. I patiently waited for him to finish his personal conversation and then he grilled me on where I purchased my phone. I finally convinced him it was from Verizon and he told me to come back in the morning. I walked in and demanded to see a manager. Cameron came out after taking five minutes. He constantly interrupted me and scolded me when I told him how I was treated. This is from the "manager!" He said he did not want to go over how the other employee treated me and that I was being condescending to him. I tried asking for help with my phone. He accused me of yelling. I pointed out that I was not, in fact, telling. Cameron said, "you were about to yell." Unreal. I tried talking to Eli, who said Cameron acted appropriately. Surprised by the bad reviews. There's plenty. I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon. Was checked in. Waited about 30-45 minutes. Went over phone plans. The iPhone 14 and 13 Pro Max were unavailable. I joined Verizon via brining in my own phone from T-Mobile. Concluded my intention. Went home. Truly was not an issue. Since, my service/coverage/internet remains excellent. I am hopeful a Verizon phone will be available soon. It's mainly on Covid in China apparently. I have not had any issues on Verizon since. Plenty of unlimited options in terms of price levels. This location is always busy. Expect to wait unless you show up when they open. Granted I went to this location in November and December. I added a line. Ordered the iPhone 14 pro max. Had to trade the old phone into this store. Just be patient. Good product knowledge. I did not have any techno problems. I had no issues moving from T-mobile. Hopefully my 2nd line will also be fine. Verizon has great coverage and internet speed. I was going to join Verizon regardless of any possible customer service issues. Luckily I had none anyway. Highly recommend verizon. Show up to this store early. Happy new customer. I also received 1200 for my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Great value. read more

Verizon never honored there promotion to pay $800.00 for the phones we turned in. We received a text that they received 4 phones and only paid for three. We attempted to get the additional $800 owed. Everyone in the store agreed we should be paid. They kept requesting from the office??? We had waited and never received the funds or any information. We did this for about two years. As far as we are concerned, Verizon still owes us this money. Or at the least an explanation or some communication. Very disappointed... read more

Came by a week or so ago to upgrade my phone, which has been dropping service and has a faulty SIM card. The wait was several hours so decided to just come back at open today. Online it says they open at 10am. On their door it has one sign that says they open at 10am, and another that says 11am. I've been here since 9:50. It is now 5 minutes after 11 and no one has shown up to open the store. Someone walking by mentioned they were closed for a Covid incident, but there is no notice on the door. I hope everyone is okay, but some kind of closure notice would have given me a chance to head over to a different store. Now I will be traveling for a week and a half with a faulty phone. Still less than one star. Bought the Note 20 Ultra a year ago. Didn't bother with a review because it was just as bad as my 2014 review. Still staffed with folks that can only sell you things as in "do you want fries with that?". They actually offered to put on my screen protector, but ran out after screwing up 3 of them, plus the one Verizon shipped to me. Today, I had a question about my new Audi , their free 6 month trial for the wifi and a Sim card. Was told to go to Audi dealer because they didn't know anything about it. Pointed out that the trial was through Verizon and the car was asking for Sim card info. Was told that I had to be a Verizon customer (guess the huge Verizon phone open to my Verizon wasn't a clue). Pointed out that I was, she says call customer service. Call customer service. Bot tries to sell me things but finally says it'll connect me to a tech coach. Recording says I got a text and my tech coach is waiting online. I click link and was told I'd be connected ASAP. 5 MINUTES later, phone line and call keep saying the same thing. Finally, the call says they'll call me back when it's my turn in over an hour and some change, but my tech coach is waiting online. No, there ain't. Been doing the only bot thing for a week. No one ever comes in. Tried in store and got human bot. Seems like unless you're buying a phone, no one can give you any help. They took me in without an appointment although I happened to walk by during slow business hours (I've seen that the Covid line can be quite long). I desperately needed an upgrade as my phone was being ultra glitchy. I waited for about 15~ish minutes with only one person in front of me. I would like to thank Elena for being so helpful and informative about features on the newer phones. I went from an old iPhone 6 to a Note 20. She sold me on the water proof feature on the Samsung phones. There is limited contact with devices, but I already know how smart phones work so no problem there. She was even knowledgeable of the protective features phone cases have. The whole upgrading ordeal was about 45 minutes. In that time I felt my experience was personable and I didn't feel rushed or like they were being pushy. I did have to transfer my info at home. They're giving out informative fliers. As tech savvy as I am I could not get my apple phone to transfer data to my new Droid. I'm not blaming Verizon for this one bc I knew it would have gone seamlessly from iPhone to iPhone or Android to iphone, but not the other way around. I even tested it out as iPhone to iPhone and the app would have worked. Luckily, the Smart Switch app on Samsung manged to get all my contacts via email account; even ones I didn't want. Overall the staff was very friendly and followed safety regulations. They had hand sanitizer on deck and those plastic wall covers. I would recommend downloading the My Verizon app before going in since they are limiting the use of their own sales gadgets to lower the chances of contamination. You will be asked to download it to view your plan and such. read more

Go to El Cerrito Verizon and ask for Cameron. On 3 April, my iPhone lost sim card, and I made bad worse and I proceeded to disable my wife's iPhone. Dreading going into a Verizon store, did so 1040 AM Monday. Never been in Verizon, we are new thanks to daughter finding better service and value to transfer our ATT Family Plan to Verizon. Greeted by Manager Cameron. Unbelievable unbelievable man that brings a calm, soft-spoken and confident presence. He does have the physical presence of a linebacker (his eyes reminded me of Mike Singletary), the agility of a tight end and the leader ship that must be like Steve Kerr. He did wonderful with the team on the 80 minutes we were in the El Cerrito Verizon. He said he would help us within 40 minutes I think it was a 33. I do not want to go to another store. Just got very grateful that our daughter transferred us from ATT and advised me to go to the El Cerrito Verizon store for help. We left with both phones restored as good as new. BTW we got incentives to inexpensively upgrade 3 IPhones when we left ATT for Verizon. read more

Do yourself a favor and do not come to this store. I had a woman (forgot her name) but she was the absolute worst. After being an AT&T customer for over 8 years, I decided to make the change due to their positive reception over the years regarding their customer service and wireless reception. They are relatively more expensive than the competition, but those were my initial thoughts going in knowing that I want their business. It was beyond terrible...they took a really long time to notice us when we first lined up during opening. Then I was helped by a female rep who honestly did not want to be there based on her attitude. The worst part about being here was that she didn't know what she was doing. I told her I just wanted to convert over from AT&T and was happy to do so. After that it went down the hole. I can go on and on about the service, but two things stand out. First was her attention to detail. There was a credit for $300 if I traded in my phone. I was not aware my phone was damaged, but after I signed the contract she saw the phone and gave us a blank stare and told herself she f*ed up. Then she just kept looking at us and looked at the phone and did this for a good minute without any explanation. She was telling me if I could resign the paperwork which would take over an hour to do so and I was not having that. Finally she let us go and gave us the discount, but don't act like I did something wrong when it was completely your fault for not paying attention to the details. The other thing is she lied to me. She made absolutely no discussion to opt us out on insurance and added it in. And the second thing that topped it off was that the cheapest unlimited plan she said did not have hotspot. I called Verizon afterwards and they downgraded me back to it and was apologizing for her lying to me that I could not have hotspot with the cheapest unlimited plan. Overall this location is a terrible experience. Make your way to another location if you can but I'd avoid this one after what I went through that day. read more
