The Toy Factory is a great little toy store in downtown Corvallis, with a variety for all ages --…read morestuffed animals, books, puzzles, games, and a variety of different building block toys (LEGO, Duplo, etc). A fun decor feature is their display of completed Playmobil sets on shelves around the perimeter of the north side of the store -- some of the sets our own grown offspring had as children. We found a few treasures to purchase, including a fun looking 1000 piece puzzle. The store staff were cordial and helpful, even if they were not going out of their way to greet everyone who came through the doors. One big plus for us, after walking around downtown Corvallis for a few hours, is they have public restrooms available! You have to ask for a key at the checkout counter, but the restrooms are very clean and well maintained; and for those with very small children, there are full-sized changing tables. We often find ourselves being sort of "restroom snobs" when it comes to shops and restaurants; but we find the condition of the bathroom is often an accurate indicator of the rest of the facility. Anyway, The Toy Factory is a wonderful little shop, and I highly recommend it.

I mean, you can't even get through the door without being in amazement. Lots of fun puzzles lots of fun card games, tons of little knickknacks and very family friendly . kids love window shopping, just cruising around at all of the different options and I couldn't imagine anyone not finding something that they enjoy here . I just went there again this morning looking for Sea Monkey (Krill) aquariums for the kids and they had three different types! I couldn't find them anywhere else in town except BiMart, which only had 1 type. The price was essentially the same as BiMart, with a much better selection. Given the choice to spend my money at a small locally owned business, I'll choose the small business every time.

This place is bananas! A friend recommended we check out this flea market for baby clothes and…read moreshoes, and while there are multiple vendors selling such things, a good 90% of the articles are for girls, which doesn't do much for our baby boy. Still, my wife and I were both blown away by the density of both vendors and goods for sale here. Everything from clothes and shoes, to toys, electronics, phone accessories, fabric, anime tchotchkes, games, collectibles, DVDs and probably a whole lot more than we missed, can be found on display, tucked away, or hanging over head. We've already resolved to do some of this year's Christmas shopping here, that's for sure! And that's not even getting into all the food, desserts and beverages available here. My Spanish is too poor, and my wandering eye too unfocused to describe all the wonders I saw being served up, so I won't even try. Except the grilled corn on the cob. I saw that, I wanted it, I didn't get it, and I will rectify this travesty during a future visit.

I found a lot of Made in China products, something you'd find @ any Asian stores CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. It's Sunday, and several vendors are closed with wrought iron gates, something tells me, they don't trust one another! If you're looking for baby Jesus dolls, and baby Jesus outfits, baptism outfits, Holy Communion outfits, THEY'RE HERE! I did find something I've been craving for a long time, I just haven't been lucky enough to find. Young tender coconut slices & perfect mango slices in a cup. The price is right. Now I know where to find them, without husking a coconut yourself! I also found some fresh small guavas!
