These people cheated me out of hundreds of dollars. I switched service to AT&T, traded in a phone. Phone & wireless internet service was supposed to total $105 per month; they wouldn't give me any plans etc in writing the day I switched. Just got my first bill 3 weeks later for $269.21. Just a heads-up for anybody sent here by AT&T who thinks this is *actually* an AT&T store. If you have a prepaid account, they will absolutely refuse to help you, even if you've been TOLD to come here by AT&T to resolve a problem. I and everyone I know have had this problem repeatedly over the years, but I just thought everyone here was terrible at customer service and hated their job. Well, that's also obviously true, but recently I was told so to this store for a new SIM card by AT&T customer service because tech support couldn't fix the issue with the phone I purchased from AT&T online. Phone support said it would be free. When I arrived, the only dude working in the store told me he had no way of "verifying" that AT&T had told me the card would be free and charged me $5 for a new one. I called back to AT&T and they couldn't understand why I was charged. So I called back and talked to "Wes". He first taunted me about being "too poor" to pay $5 and told me if that's all I could afford they didn't want my business anyway. When I told him it was fraud for them to charge me if AT&T said they should not, he told me they are not a "corporate store" and they can do whatever they want. He then told me never to come there again and hung up. So, yes, Wes hates his job. Congrats for your futile climb up the ladder of society, Wes. Maybe you'll get fired and will be too poor to afford $5. read more

Get everything in writing before you ever leave this store. I got a new phone, was told when new one shows up it will be zero cost with trade in of old phone. When I brought in both phones I was told it would not work as a trade in, all this after I had the other AT&T person swap all to the new one and deactivate the old one. After asking multiple times why I was told it was good for a trade a week earlier and now it did not qualify, and getting no straight answer, finally telling him I was done with AT&T, magically it was ok for trade in. This is a bait and switch operation, get anything they promise explicitly in writing before you leave the store, since this store never has most phones in stock and they will be sent to you. Keep all the packing materials, I was told since I had recycled the box they could not take it back. Not sure if it is incompetent employees, or endemic with AT&T, but I can not recommend this store for anything except the most basic tasks, go to another store or carrier when it is time to replace your phone. read more

The difference in customer service between this store and T-Mobile is like night and day. AT&T employee at 9th St store is truly awful. Two blocks away is a T-mobile store with very competent employees who do everything they can to solve your problems. At AT&T they do just the opposite. They really don't care if your problems get addressed. And give you a good dose of attitude in the process! I've been in AT&T stores in L.A. and Florida and while the service was slow it was competent and professional. Not so in Corvallis. Be ready to be treated with arrogance and disdain. I had my fill of them today and moved all six of my company's phone lines away from AT&T. And I've been an AT&T customer for over 25 years. Since it was Airtouch Cellular with analog phones! The service rep was rude and told us there was no way to help us with our situation and that we'd have to figure it out. Went to the AT&T on 4th and they were super helpful. Had a problem with my phone the past week about "No SIM" and it kept showing the SOS sign at the top of my phone (instead of where the cell service normally is). The person helping me was very helpful! He was very patient, and even let me use the phone--since my phone was out of commission. I had a wretched experience at AT&T on 4th. I went to 9th and they took care of me. They were helpful, quick and provided great customer service. I'll never step foot in the 4th St store again. New personal..Went in last week and was surprised with the lack of professionalism from all of the staff. I think one of them realized it and did offer better and more professional manner. Have had better service in the past. The store was empty so perhaps the new att store is giving them a run for their money- Either way there is so much turn over in this business i believe it's who is there that day-but, that saying I bought my new phone online versus dealing with the staff there-they were too 'fake' and generally obnoxious. read more

It's usually busy and hard to get someone to help you right away. That said, these guys can take care of the problems and issues. The authorized ATnT store in town didn't know how to do anything compared to these guys. Additionally, when I called the international support line, I couldn't get any useful help after upwards of an hour on the phone. ATT I walked into this ATT store after a long day of work to check out the iPhone XR for myself, since I have an upgrade ready to go. I was greeted by a heavier set guy and I told him I wanted to purchase the iPhone XR 64GB, so he walks to the back room and grabs me a 128GB, since that was all they had and puts it next to me. I then explained to him that I was on my parents line and he told me to call my parents to add me as an Authorized User. I told him that my parents are not tech savvy and he suggested to put my parents on a 3-way call with the ATT Rep. Easy enough, I was on the phone and an old lady walks in asking the guy how to dispose her phone and the guy tells me he's going to help her. Cool right? Well I was on the phone with my dad, the ATT rep and I had a question for the guy helping me so I got up and said, "Sorry for interrupting, I have a quick question" and he yells at me telling me NOT TO INTERRUPT HIM AND THAT HE'LL GET TO ME. Ok? That was really rude. So, I sit back down and I'm on the line still and the guy finished with the old lady and he comes up and asks me if I'm done and I told him that I wasn't. Then another girl comes into the store and he said he will go help her. I see him showing her the iPhone XR and telling her basically what he told me. I'm wrapping up with the Account stuff on the phone and all of a sudden the guy that was helping me grabs the iPhone XR (the one next to me) and gives it to the girl. I finished with the account stuff and the guy is up selling this girl in front of me( with the phone I was about to purchase). How incredibly rude and disrespectful that was. I turned around to another employee and asks him if that was the only phone left and he goes and checks. Then the girl (who was being helped by the guy helping me) asks if he was supposed to be helping me and he says NO, BUT I APPRECIATE YOU ASKING. WTF, I was in this store for almost an hour figuring my account stuff and I was treated with such disrespect. I can't even believe it. I really hope this guy gets fired for having horrible customer service. PS. I went to the downtown ATT store and it was a much better experience. Today went into the store, to talk about changing my plan, the sales person who I didn't catch his name however was is a very tall, male, completely uninterested in really helping me. I asked about a certain plan, he says he's aware of it but doesn't know details that I should just go look on the webpage or simply call this number. Would not have taken him more than a few minutes or even seconds to help me out. He said because there was no manager on Sunday he couldn't help me change to this particular plan and that I should simply just call. I did ask him the cost of the plan and he gave me a number, but again no details. So disappointed in this persons customer service skills. read more

Would give 0 stars if it was an option. Went in to get accessories and get an iPad waited over 30 mins to get helped then only had time to get accessories. Came in the next day, and the same thing.. waiting 30 mins.. have not been helped other then taking my name down for a list which I was first on. There is no since of urgency to help customers and each time there was reps were in the back. Would go to a 3rd party dealer if you don't have to go to a corporate store. Absolutely love this store!! I have always had AT&T and the stores in Eugene I have never had good customer service at. So I make the trip up here just because their customer service is so great! Mindy is absolutely amazing and I highly suggest requesting her for whatever you may need. We just got two upgrades today and she was beyond helpful! Karsen also helped us and was amazing. Mindy also helped me with my last phone last January and was amazing. Making the trip to Corvallis for the great customer service is so worth it! Worse customer service ever!! I walked in and had to initiate the conversation. It was an hour before closing, and it looked like they were all waiting for each other to stand up and help me. I wanted an upgrade, with just a couple questions about phone differences, and the worker (Karsen) had very short & obviously complex explanations that a non-worker wouldn't understand. I tried to stay nice, but she was the coldest employee I have ever dealt with. Coming from a job of customer service, I wanted to walk out. This store will sell you a phone and contract when you don't need one. My sister had an error issue with her 10 mo. ATT iphone (no SIM card error) which the phone is still under warranty ( ATT should know the warranty terms and they claim they didn't). ATT said she should go to apple to get it fixed but she needed a working phone. ATT sold her another "free" phone and changed her phone number to get it, which means it's under a new contract for the phone amount (not very clearly communicated to people that are not savvy to contractural terms). For a "no SIM" message Apple says to remove and reinsert it. If that doesn't work then try another SIM. Well she had removed the SIM card from the new phone to the old phone ,and voila, the old phone still works perfectly. Pretty shady business practices all in the name of commission and new sales. read more

This store has been very unhelpful. My husband and I traded our phones in last year, with the promise to receive money back. They never gave us back the $1400 we were told we would receive. If we knew they would take our phones and not give us the money for them we never would have traded them in but rather sold them ourselves. We bought new phones from them, an iPad, and other things. We have given them our business and they continue to rip us off. We have been into this store countless times trying to solve the issue and get our money back or at least understand why we haven't. They keep saying they will open and case and then it stops there. They don't contact us when they say they will. Their lack of even caring is frustrating. My sister went into this store to buy a phone and pay for it in full. She already has a phone plan with them and just wanted to put her SIM card in a new phone. They told her she could not buy a phone in full and must establish a payment plan. I am very unimpressed with how they treat customers who have given them lots of business and likely will never go back. read more

The service at this AT&T location is very good. Customer service is on the ball and the staff is very personable. Here's the problem: The AT&T service in my area. Is not usable without a AT&T microcell Opinion; if AT&T is going to sell service in areas where reception is poor or not usable without a MicroCell, then AT&T should provide the customer with a "free" microcell instead of the customer having to pay out-of-pocket for poor and or unusable service. I am seriously considering switching cell phone providers. read more

Terrible customer service. 2 years ago sold me a phone with a crummy camera when I had said a good camera was top priority. Then went in this year and the rep wanted to lecture me on the semantics of data and instead of helping me get what I needed he was condescending and difficult. Not helpful or kind in the least. We're long term customers. We just went in with a question about our bill that the phone customer service wasn't explaining well. We stood around while the two employees helped two other customers. We then noticed the employee seemed to be friends with and not helping the person he was with. They continued talking, then the employee left to go look at the friend's motorbike in the parking lot. All while we were standing there for upwards of ten minutes with no greeting or acknowledgement that we were there. We left with one of us saying "let's just cancel since they don't seem to want our business." Nobody replied or even acknowledged we had spoken.The shop was empty apart from us, two workers, one customer, and one friend. Pending the response from the store manager, we will be switching phone companies. read more
