    First time with verizon! Loving it so far!! Steven Riley is fantastic! Super patient,very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He definatly made sure I was happy and all my questions were answered. So glad I switched companies. I really feel welcome!

Was making the…read moredecision to retire or repair a very old gaming laptop (MSI 2 PC Apache, ~2015) with a cracked screen after its getting knocked over. Was afraid for its age and brand, that no one in town would even be willing to take a look. Simeon offered a great initial price (I'm forgetting the first quote. $40? $60?) to look at repairing the screen, and soldering the hinge back into its socket. He noticed some motherboard damage (water spots, etc) while working, which was not unexpected for its age and wear. While in the shop, he also installed a keyboard I brought in, that I had bought myself but failed to DIY install. Ultimately, even after investing the labor in repairing the laptop, the internal damage was severe enough that it could not be made to boot. Simeon gave me the option to pay the original low cost quote for the substantial repair work, which allowed me to now extract the RAM from my damaged machine (prev impossible w broken hinge), or that for an out-the-door cost of $200, he could upgrade my system by moving my data over to an similar year, upgraded-SPEC ASUS gaming laptop. The laptop is indeed a quality upgrade in game performance for the price I paid. What's more, Simeon's coming up with the refurbishment solution for the cost spared me having to shop for a modern rig at modern prices ($1000+) for a while longer. My SSD was not an exact fit to it so I am still transitioning some of my documents etc data over -- they had trouble finding a usb to make it possible to do this in the shop. This is a small hassle, but doable. The laptop came home ready to plug and play, but the guys warned me that it badly needed a new battery and couldn't hold a charge (shutting down when disconnected from power). Simeon offered to help source one for me, but that they could be expensive and that he would call back with a price and wouldn't pull the trigger to order until he spoke with me again. Had a minor miscommunication w other guy at front desk, where I thought the battery had been ordered before speaking to Simeon again, which surprised me, but didn't think much of. Turns out Simeon was waiting for my go-ahead, though, so I accidentally waited a little over a week with my bum battery without having to. The guys are very nice, so I would say to learn from my experience and not be afraid to follow up more readily than I did if you're curious for an update. When I took it in for the battery pick-up, everything went very smoothly. Remember to use debit and not credit, expensive $2 surcharge for my not paying attention and putting it on the wrong card. Very pleased w the work here, and found pricing very affordable, would absolutely return.

About 2 years ago I was sold a defective $900 phone with a Bluetooth problem where it wouldn't stay connected in my car. They used up their "14 day return policy" with various attempts at fixing it. I spent at least 10 hours on the phone with Verizon techs. Went back to the store probably 15 times. Finally I DEMANDED a new phone and said I wasn't leaving without it - and got one - which worked fine (Galaxy S9+) This year I added 2 lines, got 2 new phones, and at their direction and quotes, switched my plan with a promise of lower fees. My bill jumped from $310 to $498! Another ~10 hours on the phone with Verizon, to find out what TCC had promised me was complete baloney. Another ~10 visits to the store to be met with blank stares and promises to "contact the billing department" - which they apparently never did. Promised me calls back each time, which they also never did, on at least 4 or 5 of those occasions. When I returned to see what happened, "I contacted them and they didn't get back to me". Baloney, utter bollocks . I'm reasonably sure as soon as I walked out the door each time, they simply moved on to the next customer. I ended up "fixing" the billing issues myself, but not at the rate they had promised me if I renewed with them (about $40 more per month than they had promised/quoted me. I don't like writing bad reviews, but I can't deal with this place ever again. Tried to support a local business, they failed utterly on me twice. Nice counter personalities can't substitute for good service and delivering what they promised. This has been a horrible experience now - twice. Fool me twice my fault I guess. Why I went back this year I don't know, and from now on I will deal with the actual Verizon company store - since I had to fix the issues they caused me with Verizon myself anyway. They did virtually nothing to help after the sale was complete except lip service each time I returned to ask for help. No longer can recommend anything about them - they're "nice" but?????

    5 stars for Justin! I took my sister in to upgrade her phone a couple months ago and he was very…read morehelpful, honest and friendly. He explained everything in detail so we could understand (we had lots of questions and he was extremely patient)... We had a good laugh! He called later to let us know of a killer promo deal that was so good my sister and a few of us on our family plan upgraded as well. From start to finish he went above and beyond. Good customer service is hard to find these days and he did an excellent job... give this guy a raise!

I visited Verizon today because my bill was wrong- Verizon continued to charge my husband and me international fees, despite the fact that we canceled those charges 5 months ago. (Three years ago, they did this to my daughter and her husband as well, and those extra charges were over $100 a month and very hard to resolve.) I was also charged a $32 monthly fee for an iPad, when I was told the charge would be $10. I bought a $50 protective cover for the phone which immediately cracked. I replaced it (why??) and the 2nd cover also cracked. The staff member said Verizon doesn't make the covers they sell and put on our phones, and it's not their fault. And they have a lifetime guarantee. Which made me wonder why the person who sold me the 2nd one didn't point that out. I would have been less annoyed and I wouldn't be writing this, my first negative Yelp review, if the employee had been more helpful, less irritated, less in a hurry to be done with me. If they'd acknowledged the company had made mistakes, instead of acting like the problem was the fact that I bought them to their attention. My family spends about $500 on our Verizon plan. My daughter said this is the way they are. Press hard to upsell and make it complicated to fix problems. Once our phones are paid off, we'll be looking for an alternative.
