This is the rudest salon I have ever been to. After making a appointment and getting quoted a price, it proved to be a total sham. They move you around form station to station after about waiting 20 minutes before someone finally comes to do your nails. Immediately after they sit down they start upselling your service. I was quoted 30$ for a fill in,,, Oh, you want your nails filed down, thats 5$ more, you want gel, not regular polish, another 5$, and on and on. I said I would take the 30$ fill. She was so rude and I had to tell her not to talk to me like that, I am the customer. NEVER AGAIN. Would give negative stars if I could! read more

Went today and was treated so rudely. I asked a question about polish and the answer I got was nasty. She was very rough on my nails and I literally felt pain which i have never before. I got a gel manicure and was going to get the pedicure, but I was disgusted and left without the pedicure and I did not leave a tip. The woman who waited on me sits at the front manicure station and I will never go back to this place again. Today was my first and last visit. You must be kidding me! I made an appointment a week in advance. I asked for specific people recommended by my neighbor. I had to wait a long time to be seated, even with an appointment, walk ins were taken first come, first serve, before me. And, I did not get the people that I asked for. I was rushed, they did a terrible job, and it was $65 for a manicure and pedicure. I had a regular manicure and pedicure but was charged for a special one. The best was, the owner sits at the first station and was laughing in everybody's face when walk ins came in, she said, "I hope you have a long time to wait," then was talking rudely in another language to another worker who may have been her husband. Absolutely horrible experience. Would give zero stars if I could. Made an appointment on a Tuesday afternoon for myself and my two daughters and waited over an hour for anyone to attend to us. After complaining and waiting over an hour they had someone brand new work on my first daughter. My second daughter and I shared a pedicure chair while the workers took smoke breaks, coughed without masks, took out trash, and attended to other customers. I ended up letting them paint my girls nails but refused them to let them work on me because I didn't want to keep my kids at the salon another 2 hours. I don't write reviews often but this deserved one. A man who I believe was the owner of the salon did my nails. He was drenched with sweat and wiping his nose the entire time (no gloves) and left for 5+ minutes to smoke a cigarette and came back reeking of smoke. I watched as he literally took the tools he used on me and put them BACK into one of the blue sanitized bags...so I Imagine that the tools were not sanitized before he used them on me since he pulled them from the same unsealed bag...He did a terrible job with my pedicure...but in all fairness, the manicure was ok. The prices were unbelievable. I live in New York City where everything is extra expensive and a plain polish manicure costs $15. Here they charged $20 just for a polish manicure, and if you want OPI polish, it's another $5! The wall of polish options is all OPI except for maybe 7 other polishes, and the sign telling you that almost every polish available costs $5 is tiny and hidden. I would never pay $25 for a manicure. So I went in for a regular manicure. The guy who did my nails frantically jabbed my cuticles, and my fingers still hurt days after. It took him like 10 minutes to do my nails after literally globbing on clear coat, it took a really long time to dry. My cuticles look even worse than before I went in there. I've recently moved to Bethany and have tried all the nail salons. This is the worst! First, appointments have no meaning here. Just walk in and hope. If you're looking for a relaxing friendly atmosphere- not here. It appears the staff are unhappy to be here too. I caught them rolling their eyes at each other, mocking the clients. I had a pedicure and the nail tech "forgot" to put on clear top coat, moved on to another person and never finished with me. Still willing to give them another chance, I got a gel manicure. There were individuals in the waiting room that had appointments 30 mins prior and still weren't acknowledged. After getting my nails done, a random guy walked over and told me the most ridiculous price and when I questioned it he proceeded to explain that I was being charged for removal of my previous polish (since when is that even a charge, when everyone walks in with polish on) gel polish application (which I did not ask for or want, they told me I had to use it) and a full set of tips (I only needed 2 tips because the of them being shorter but they said I had to pay for the whole set). Wonderful experience! We walked in, they were helping others but set us up with foot bath and massage chair while we had a short wait. Holly helped me and a young man helped my friend. Both were great. When Holly saw one of my nails had partially come off from running she offered to fix it and did a wonderful job!! The foot massage was great as was the polish job. They took the time to do a good job but didn't keep us their for a long time either. Well worth the $28. Very family friendly and a very nice staff. A note - they only take cash or checks. VETO Venus Nails! I have been to this place twice. The first time I was unimpressed and decided to give them a second chance. I walked out and am never going back! The place is totally disorganzied. There is not sign up sheet and no one even looks up when you come in. The people that work there are rude. Forget trying to make an appointment. That does not work either. Last week I made an appointment for 4:30. I showed up at 4:30. Waited to make eye contact for 10 minutes. Waited a few more minues and left after they seated three before me. Which was fine, because quite frankly the place is icky, dirty, and makes me very nervous about how much they pay attention to hygene. It is cheap for a reason and it is definitely not worth it. This was my first time here. I came in as a walk in and I was taken back immediately. I came for a fill and a pedicure. Claudia did my pedicure and she was great, although I was surprised that there were no hot towels or massage for a $30.00 pedicure. Next, Holly, one of the owners, did my fill. She wasn't the friendliest or most talkative person but I was very pleased with the results. Unfortunately, Holly then charged me $82.00 for an acrylic fill, a gel French manicure and the $30.00 pedicure. I called and set up a safe day appointment. I figured the salon would be busy so I asked the owner what time would work for her. She told me to come in at 2pm. I arrived at 1:50. I then sat in that salon for 1hr and 45 minutes until I was fed up and decided to leave. The owner said one word to me the whole time, and that was when I arrived and told her I was there for my 2pm appointment. She replied with "okay". Ive been going to Lorena for years. She does a great job with my not so pretty feet. I was especially glad to see her today after so many months of quarantining. As usual, she did an amazing job. But most of all I felt safe with the new procedures set up to protect both the employees and customers. Only every other chair is used, tools and stations sanitized between every client, masks and hand sanitizer and gloves everywhere, health questionnaire and temp check for clients. After they cut me, they simply just put the tools back in the drawer without sanitizing them. After bringing up that they cut multiple fingers, they did not apologize at all. I went to this salon a few years ago & I wasn't that satisfied with my experience. My usual nail place was so busy so I decided to try this place out again because my nails were in desperate need of a clean up & I was dying for relaxation. There was only 2 people waiting when I showed up with 2 other girls. You could already tell they were understaffed. I didn't mind waiting, but there wasn't a menu to choose what type of pedi or mani you were wanting, I chose a color & waited my turn. The two girls that came with me & I got seated all together, but I had my pedi started before the two girls & finished my pedi before they ever got started. I couldn't really enjoy the pedicure I got because it was super.. well boring. There wasn't a massage or hot towel or anything other than cleaning up my nails & my toes painted. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. I ended up just not getting my manicure done so one if the other girls I came with was able to get her pedi started on. I honestly rather have kept my worn out nails than have to wait over an hour for that to be done & be disappointed with that aswell. The don't use the tools that come in a new sanitized baggy either.... The staff was nice, but they seemed like they really did not want to be there. Went there yesterday to get my eyebrows done. As soon as I left my eyelids we're in excruciating pain and began to swell. I waited 24 hours to see if the pain/swelling would go down and it only became worse. I sought out the advice of my friend who is a cosmologist and she informed me that they burnt my skin with wax that was too hot and recommended going to talk to them today. I went in today to speak with the owner who would not even stand up to speak to me or look at what they had done to my eyes. When I asked for a refund or suggested she turn down the heat she rolled her eyes and completely ignored me. Terrible customer service. I went when they were not busy, nail technician did not even speak to me to even ask what kind of pedicure I wanted when I told him classic, he acknowledged he heard but that was the extent of communication. I wanted the callous service removal an extra $7 but he never looked up again and I knew from that moment on this was not going to go well. My mother and I are summer locals who decided to try out the nail salon we pass regularly. To say this salon is unprofessionally run is an understatement, the owner incredibly rude. I purchased a manicure and pedicure for both of us for the price of $45, adding the gel polish for an additional $5. Prior to the polish being applied I confirmed with my technician that the special polish would only be $5 total for both hands and feet. She agreed. After the completion of my polish application I analyzed my hands and feet and saw how sloppy it looked. The polish on my hands was lumpy and not covering some of the sides of my nails. Some fingers had my red polish painted past my cuticle line and onto my skin. All in all this was the worst mani/pedi I've ever received. When I asked for them to please fix it, the owner jumped up and partially fixed my fingers, removing some of the polish around my fingers and just plopping on another red coat to each nail. "Do you want a top coat?", she asked. Is this a real question? Of course I would expect you to complete the job that wasn't done correctly. Upon asking for the bill the owner tried to charge me $55/each, charging us both an addition $5 for hand and feet. I refused, saying I'd pay the amount agreed upon prior to receiving their services, $100 total. The owner (referencing her own technician) said, "she doesn't know the price, she doesn't speak English". Again, is this real life? Is this really a professional establishment? If that's the case there should be someone else there to communicate pricing. I want to note that I am not cheap and I'm a normal customer who also works in the service industry, so I rarely complain. My daughter told me that the man who did her eyebrows (who happened to be the owner of the shop) pushed her head back a couple of times and the lady doing my nails (the other owner) had a horrible attitude. She rushed me and cut my fingers and didn't look me in the eye the entire time. They also don't advertise anywhere that they only accept cash or checks so I got through all of my services and had to run to an ATM. Went for a gel manicure and mani pedi for my daughter. I had called and scheduled the appointments for 4:30. We arrived and it was fairly crowded but my daughter was seated for her pedi in a normal timeframe. I, on the other hand, waited for about an hour for my gel manicure to begin, while watching a number of people walk in after we had arrived and be seated right away. At some point while waiting, I was looking for the gel polish I had selected but could not find it. The owner looked very briefly and then walked away saying someone else must have it. Meanwhile I am still not getting the manicure and people who came in after I did were being taken care of. Finally after my daughter was almost done with her mani and pedi and I still had not begun my gel, I said to just forget it, I was tired of watching others who had come in long after me be waited on first. The owners wife was rather rude at that point and said 'not all the techs can do gel'. After about an hour I finally was seated with the owner. He apologized for the wait as he should have. When I was up front paying, I apologized to the owners wife for being impatient and said it was a lack of communication. To my face, she said it's ok, but then she turned around and my daughter saw her roll her eyes. We will not be going back there. That was beyond rude. I went here with two of my friends around 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon for mani's and pedi's and we had a horrible experience. Two of us were told to sit down for our pedi's and soak. The water was freezing cold and we soaked for 30+ minutes before either of us were seen. After our pedi's my friend was moved to prep for her mani, while I was asked to sit ad wait for my Mani. I sat for 45 minutes while I watched three other women come in for mani's and be attended to before they set me up for my Mani. My friend was set up for her mani, the technician started it and then another women came in and said she needed her nails done right away because she had somewhere to go, that same technician stopped my friends mani To do the other, so my friend then sat for 30 mons waiting to be finished. By this time I decided to not wait longer and chose to not get my mani. The other friend I was with had a shellac done on her nails and they did an awful job. When she asked to have it fixed, the technicians complained and refused to fix it. They made her sit and ignored her for 30 Minutes. All in all they did a decent job; however, they were completely unprofessional. We ended up being there for 3.5 hours. I definately do not recommend this place. read more

All the reviews that warn you not to go are correct. The owner very rude! Totally saw her roll her eyes. Three other nail techs there speaking Spanish, so good luck with anyone speaking English. Ironically I speak Spanish as a second language and they were talking about us! Smoking out back with the door open and could smell through out the salon. They were not busy and can see why.
