DON'T GO HERE EVER IM absolutely so upset about my nails which I got done on July 24th, they charged me 110.00 for a full acrylic set and art without even telling me or giving me a price. The guy told me pick out a color and then I was told to sit with Hannah. I told her several times what I wanted including the coffin nail , long with silver handcuffs and whips on middle fingers and then love on my thumbs. I showed her tons of pictures on my phone she said ok. I trusted her being skilled at her art but I was absolutely wrong! First her station was dusty her tools were not clean and she didn't push my cuticles back before doing anything but putting on the long tips. I immediately got concerned because im a model and have had acrylic nails for years and this wasn't what I was used to. She didn't even pick out the correct size nails for each hand and again she was talking in another language and I couldn't understand her . She was doing my nails so quickly, I was done in 45 minutes which is absolutely terrible and showed she didn't care. I kept telling her she was not doing it correctly i showed her pictures again but she wasn't listening. I just said fine zebra stripes with love on my thumbs. She began the whole process cutting one shorter than the others and they're not coffin nails i don't know what they are. I was extremely frustrated and upset I just wanted to get out of there and was told cash only and I gave he r 10.00 tip and 100 dollars for absolutely terrible nails. They're not painted on the sides, they're chipped, the polish is thick and sloppy. I went home and one day later my left middle finger nail snapped right in half, I was furious but tried gluing it on for two days but that didn't work. I called them yesterday explaining everything about what happened and they put the ignorant B owner on the phone who actually tried to blame me for not telling anyone, nobody speaks English so come on! They said they would fix my broken nail and of course gave me Hannah again who really really screwed up this time with my middle finger nail that is larger than all the other nails and curved with my real nail exposed. She attempted to fix the writing love on my thumbs that were absolutely just a wreck and looked like a child did it. She tried it in cursive I didn't like it so I spoke up, then another ignorant woman said to me " she's not good with nail art , it looks fine' by that time I was in tears wanted to leave but still wanted to tip her crappie job 5.00. I said I only had a card and the male said to me you have venmo? I said yes he said send me her tip through venmo and I'll give it to her. I found that very very weird and kinda like they're doing something iligan but sent it. I left crying again only to try to get a shower last night and my pointer finger nail snapped in half. These are a week old and they're horrible. I went to another nail salon who absolutely agreed with everything I had said and told them and said they would fix them but im broke so they suggested i demand venus to fix my nails and take pictures. Now I have horrible nails and I'm broke. Don't go here they're terrible and I'm very very angry especially at the owner for blaming me and for letting someone who didn't know what she was doing ruin my nails. Im extremely angry. Awful do not go!! Made appt. Came in, not greeted. Gal sort of asked. I said I made appt. Pick a color, Any I asked, yes she replied. Then said no over there, not a lot of choices! She's helping me pick, not what I wanted. Got frustrated, choose one she was handing me. Didn't speak English, kind of grunted. Pedicure was ok. Manicure was bad! Do not look much better than when I went in. Tools for manicure were NOT sanitized. I asked questions, she could not respond. Then asked if I had made an appt, what, crazy!! When my hands were drying, she told me I owed $7 more for a service on my feet. Never said a word until them!! I said I'm not paying more or take it out of your tip. Had a regular mani pedi. I cannot do gel nails as it ruins, my natural nails. The woman was unhappy that I wasn't getting gel, I explained I had already lost two fingernails with the gel. We did a regular polish and I should've known because she put it on so thick well before the day was out one whole section on my thumb cracked away. I went back, the woman rolled her eyes and laughed at me saying "it's because Ingot regular polish" I had it repaired and left. I woke up the next day and you can see the pictures of what my nails look like. I had given it quite a long time to dry before leaving and have never had this experience before anywhere. Disappointed by my last appointment there, I hesitated, but felt they should have a second chance.The same thing happened....a simple pedicure, just white polish. Unfortunately, I had the same technician (I am not assertive enough to ask for someone else, and maybe he had an off day last time...?) He is not only a little rough, but I think very uninterested. Within 3 hours the polish had begun to crumple up and peel back. The cost was $40....and while that is in line and reasonable for a pedicure, it is not reasonable at all for a 3 hours-long-lasting one. What a disappointment this was. AND I wanted it done for a special occasion as well. I learned my lesson: sometimes a second chance is not warranted after all. read more

I got gel polish on my hands. Within 3 hours, 2 nails completely peeled off. 4 days later I only have 2 nails left. They peel off as a whole nail, not chip. Definitely will not be coming back. Not worth the money at all. read more

I had a regular pedicure and a liquid gel manicure. Service was excellent. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I had one person do the pedi and another do the gel mani, and both were great. My nails were short, paper thin, and breaking. Kevin applied liquid gel that makes them feel strong and healthy again. Oh yeah, should have checked the star rating on here before going to this place. I have nothing good to report. The nail technician did NOT smile. Not once. Not even when I was trying to make conversation or after I thanked her. You could tell no one there wanted to do their job. They were rolling their eyes, passing off customers and were just plain rude. My technician cut my cuticle with her scissors and it felt like she was ripping the crap out of them until I told her to stop - assume they had not been sharpened/maintained. This is my first review ever, but I felt the need to warn people. I recently became a full time resident of the Bethany Beach area, and went to Venus Nails for the first time two days ago. I have never experienced such a rude place of business. The owner was the one who did my gel manicure. She didn't say one word to me, was rough with my hands, and then clip my finger( she didn't even apologize). When she was done again didn't say one work to me, and just walked away. My sister and I both had the owners do our full set acrylics and remove the old acrylics. This was an extremely painful process where they ripped each nail off instead of soaking them just to save time to get their next client in faster. Following that painful process the wife who was doing my sisters nails made her cut her own nails down to the length she wanted (for the total cost coming out to be $300) I would expect an amazing experience previous to getting our nails done we got a pedicure which was amazing but done by staff there not the owners. We asked for a chrome finish on our nails and they completely screwed that up and put two top coats on top of the chrome (which is not how chrome should be applied) We even showed a picture of how we wanted our nails to be shaped which happened to be the same exact picture! The difference between both of our sets shapes are astronomical. I didn't like the shape nor did I like the finished product as a whole yet I felt inclined to tip and pretend to like them because of how ignorant and dismissive the female owner was! I will follow this review with a picture of my sister and I's nails. Our nails are still both in pain. read more

This was the worst nail experience my family and I have ever had. It is clear that management has the employees working way past the capacity anyone is capable of. For example, the woman doing my nails was doing 2 other client's nails at the same time. She spent approximately 7 minutes on me but it took about 45 minutes. She did barely anything other than paint. It felt like a conveyor belt and actually hurt. My son's nails look worse than they did before I paid $40 dollars for a pedi. He is doing his own pedi now at home. Really sad to see workers treated this way and clients getting almost nothing for the money.
