This was my first time getting my nails done and I had heard about different places, but nail story sounded good! I didn't really know what to expect, they were very professional, and very clean! i have been a regular customer for several years. I always look forward to my trip to salisbury and getting nails done. in the past staff has been polite with good service given. Today was different. I got the new girl, she was clueless on how to massage for a pedicure, did not get my back massage, went to pay and got a flippant comment from manager about my phone number for discount they give for paying cash. Heads up Nail Story you have a lot of competition, you need to watch your treatment of regular customers. Be aware of how you speak to your clients,very disappointing. read more

The staff were extremely friendly and the facilities were very clean. Everything is cleaned/opened new for each customer. The staff was helpful in choosing the many different pedicure and nail options. The pedicure (the spa option) was EXTREMELY worth the money. Extremely detailed with multiple steps to help massage, revive the skin, remove calluses and so much more. I also got a gel manicure and seasonal design. The nail tech did a great job at helping me pick which colors would fit my idea as well as replicating my design. They are a new business so their yelp doesn't have much on it. Don't take that as a bad sign! They are fantastic. read more

I went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure . The pedicure was not what I have been getting at all . It felt like a rush job and I didn't just walk in I had an appointment . I asked to have my nails square and well they aren't and my polish is chipping after just 3 days . ( Normally lasts for 2 wks or more ) Time for a new salon because they just ain't it . I work hard for my money and you want me to pay and tip for half ass job ! Sorry not sorry read more

my wife and her two sister-in-law's spent over $100 in the shop, including a tip, but due to what was later described as a misunderstanding, a male and employee followed them out of the store and into the parking lot demanding a tip. When I was told of this, I called the store back seeking clarity and an apology. What I received was a tirade of, personal, including being a "fu*** retar** bit**." I told them calmly that I would use the reviews available to me to continue to tell this story so no others would be treated this way. Over a tip which was given. The nail tech that did my nails was amazing however the cashier was extremely rude. I chose to tip the nail tech but th cashier decided it wasn't enough of a tip. A tip is optional and whatever a client gives should be accepted graciously. It screams I don't pay my employees well and expect others to pay them. read more

The salon is very professional, clean, and staff is more than willing to help out. They offer a variety of services. They have enough staff for walk-ins. when you get your nails done they also provide you with a quick neck massage. Definitely a great place. read more

Fantastic!!!! Went there as a walk-in, and they were welcoming and friendly. The pedicure was the best I've had in years! Got their $50 "Signature" service, and it came with all the salt scrub, warm rocks, lotions and wraps, massage of legs and feet, sanding off of calluses, etc. Then my tech, Peter, did an excellent job with my actual toenails. They are beautiful. While drying the nails, I got a massage of my neck and shoulders. Kneaded out all the knots in my neck! I could have melted and slid off the chair. Felt like I'd been at a day spa. This was my first visit, but I will definitely be going back there from now on! Can't recommend it highly enough! read more

Every time I go here for nail services, there is a unique experience that does not sit well with my spending soul! The male staff are kirt, nasty and do not deliver on a welcoming customer service. When they first opened, different! First time, told me that I should not oil my legs before getting a pedicure. Second time, over charged me, until I brought it to the guys attention. Today, last time, got 2 pedicures and done at 4:50pm. This shops closes at 6:30pm. The pedicure messages are good however aggressive. They informed me at 5 pm they could not service me for a fill in as they closed 1 hour and 30 min later. There were 6 techs available and they told me a fill in would be over 1.5 hours. They also shared they had appointment at 5:30pm. Well how would you complete this appointment? I asked could I stay to see if this appointment would show- they said they already confirmed the appointment. I will not be going back here. They always give rude, inconvenient vibes, and that they are doing you a favor! I will also never recommend this shop to any one else as well in the future as I did in the past. read more

Honestly, I hate leaving bad reviews on businesses, but as a paying consumer, I have a responsibility to do so. I visited this salon on 6/30/2023 to receive a dip powder nail application and a gel polish pedicure. This included the removal of the dip and gel application that I was currently wearing from my regular salon of choice. My nail tech's name was Coco. Overall, I will say that Coco was fairly polite, however, I was dissatisfied with her service. She seemed to rush my application and on several occasions throughout she nicked my cuticle with the nail drill and also drilled hard enough to cause pain on my natural nails. I actually have visible injury to 3 of my nail beds/cuticles as I type this review. I will also say the dip application process at this salon, in my opinion, is unsanitary. They don't scoop out an adequate amount of dip powder to use on each individual client and discard after the application. Instead, they dip your nail in the entire jar of the powder. My regular salon WOULD NEVER! Despite all of this and because I was pleased the Coco's ability to execute and even add detail to my design of choice. I planned to leave her a smaller tip than I usually would considering all the other factors of the appointment. As I paid for my service at the front, and handed the tip to the gentleman at the register. He asked about my service in which I explained it was only "ok because of all the times she nicked me causing injury". He then pointed to a small paper that have taped to the counter about "treat your technician nicely and tips between 15-20% are appreciated." I replied "yes, and I normally would however, I just told you she nicked me SEVERAL times." He proceeded to just look at me prompting me to say "if you don't want to give it to her, you can give it back." He handed the tip back to me and said "next time you go somewhere else." My response "don't worry I will." Bottom line, tips are recommended and not required. Much of the service industry today expects them but do not show appreciation. Unfortunately, I didn't get this man's name, otherwise it would have been mentioned. They have several technicians who work here, so I'm not telling anyone to not get serviced here. Some of them may actually be polite and perform quality work. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. read more
