Went here bc of the good reviews. I went in for a full set yesterday, these pics were taken immediately afterward. The last pic was my reference photo. The nails point upwards, my cuticles are awful, the acrylic was barely filed down, balls up at the end, and the sides are still rough and not polished. The French polish is done poorly and crooked. I asked Tommy if he could fix the polish, he got very annoyed and was extremely rude. He argued with me and told me they were not crooked. So this is how I left the salon. I was charged $72+ for this set of nails. My daughter had a set done as well and the were just as bad. A few of them popped off by this morning and the rest came right off, so luckily I didn't have to pay to have them soaked off, I went to Aria Nails today and had a beautiful set done. I paid for a service at Ocean Nails and had to pay again for another salon to redo both sets. read more

I called early and was told I could come in at 10 for a pedicure. I got there and every manicurist was busy. I was told to wait 5 minutes. I knew this wouldn't work since it looked like everyone had just started but I did. I waited 35 minutes. The frustration came when I asked to be taken by a manicurist that had just finished and she pointed to a noted manicurist and told me to wait for him. He was clearly still working with someone. I walked out. I have been to this salon a half dozen times--in the winter when their business is light --but will not go back. They clearly had more people scheduled than they could handle. I am guessing they thought that someone would not show up. That is not a way to do business. read more

Decided to get mani pedis with my boyfriend when we got down to the beach. They were super busy when we got in there but they were able to get us in. The place was super clean, and the staff was super friendly! Pedicure bowls were lined with a disposable liner, and all the tools they used were sanitized and very professional. Pam was my nail tech, she was very engaging, kept us comfortable, and in a conversation. It was very relaxed. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 star was cause some spots on my nail had thin paint on them and you could see the difference when you look close enough. I didn't notice the ones on my toes till a few days later. These manicures were done on 6/26, it's now 7/14, my nails have grown out a little, and there is a little cracking in the polish but they are hanging on strong! Outrageous prices -- I would give them 0 stars if I could. Ocean nails charged me $15 to remove the gel from my nails (without a manicure). When I brought up the outrageous price, they said that nail polish removal is usually included in the $45 manicure (again, outrageous). So, I said it should only cost $30 for me to come back in and get them painted? And they said that it would still cost $45 for me to come in and get them painted. So $65 for a gel manicure!! I've had my nails done twice here and both times the gel was very sloppy. I went in yesterday and then again today to get the gel removed and both days they said they were too busy. I asked if I could schedule an appointment to have it removed and they said they don't schedule appointments just for gel removal. So I am stuck with this peeling ugly manicure. My wife convinced me to get a pedicure and although reluctant, I went with her and got one while she got a manicure. I must admit, I was the only male customer there but was immediately made to feel welcomed. I can't recall the woman's name who waited on me but wish I could as she was gentile snd thorough! I scheduled a mani/pedi and told them I had gel on both toes and nails. Owner (guy) did my appointment. While I was in pedi I told him again I had gel on fingers did he want to soak them. He said no it's too hard to do while I'm in pedi chair (guess he didn't want to lean over). He ended up using that scraper on my finger nails to get gel off and my nails have been splitting ever since and I have super strong nails. As soon as any white grows out it splits and I have to cut them down to the tip. That is extremely unprofessional. read more

I have been coming to Ocean Nails for 20 years. The husband/wife owners are very pleasant and give great acrylic fills and pedicures. I always call ahead and make an appointment and rarely have had to wait. They redecorated a couple of years ago and have these wonderful massaging chairs for when you get a pedicure. The shop is very clean and when I am there later in the day, I always see workers sweeping the floor, emptying the trash cans, cleaning the instruments, tidying up the magazine table. They can get very busy in season, but I have never felt rushed and always get the high quality manicure I have come to expect. I am constantly receiving compliments on my nails. When I have needed to go to a different salon, I have found prices at those salons to be a couple of dollars higher and the work not of the quality I am used to. I highly recommend them. read more

I've been here before - it never knocked my socks off but today was just the worst! I came at around 11 to get a "walk in" mani-pedi - they were full up & a lady was waiting. I smiled & said I would try & make an appointment for later that afternoon. Went home, had lunch, called & asked for an appointment - "When?" "in 15 min or 5 min whichever is better for no wait" ...she said "come right now - no wait" I was like "I'll be there in 5 min" (our condo is right down the street) I get there, one person is working, one lady is waiting, & a guy is coming out from the back chewing and told me to "pick a color, sit down & wait" - I said, "I was the one on the phone you said no wait" to which he replied "that was 5 minutes ago now we are eating our lunch and 50 people could walk in 5 min - you wait" I jokingly said "So basically you lied, am I right?" and then he went out to the door of the store & smoked a cigarette at his "smoking table" out in front of the salon- SEE PICTURE. I was aghast! SO RUDE! I turned heel, walked out and as he was smoking & checking his phone I grinned and said "anything can happen in 5 min - like people can leave, and then they can Yelp" ....Seeing all these negative reviews here about rudeness I guess they don't read Yelp. But hey, as my dad says sometimes it's best to "talk with your feet"......I'll add YELP! PS. I paid $30 for a refill of pink only. I was a walk in and waited an hour and a half. They were friendly enough, but have never had such poor work done. My sis and I took our mom to Ocean Nails as a birthday gift. We planned on a manicure and pedicure. We arrived an hour before the salon was supposed to close, and a lady barked that we were there too late. As we stood there in confusion, the lady barked at us again and questioned whether we would be staying or not. We decided to just get the manicure. Signs are posted everywhere stating that if you break a bottle of nail polish, you will pay for it. Another lady did my mom's nails, who was much nicer and did a good job.
