This was a terrible manicure and terrible experience. The tech did not soak off the gel polish I cam on with but instead used the drill and drilled my nails until they were so thin they were bendable- ruined. She then cut at the cuticles without soaking my hands in water at all and it hurt. I brought a picture of the color I wanted in cat eye and the tech used a small magnet which had no effect. She seemed to speak little to no English so trying to communicate was extremely difficult. When I asked for a larger magnet to be used, Veesie (spelling?) came over and I could not believe how rude she was. She scolded me loudly for picking a color I didn't like, which wasn't what happened at all; I had brought a picture of what I wanted. She then went rummaging through a drawer to get a bigger magnet when I asked that one be used, plopped it on the table and asked "Is that big enough for you?" She and a few others nearby then began speaking in their native language and laughing. She still could not achieve the cat eye effect and seemed to have no idea how to do it. I finally asked her to just put on a top coat so I could go. My nails began chipping the same night and 3 days later, three of them have broken because of the damage to my nails from the drill and the poor work. read more

They managed to fit me in last minute on Sunday at five. I had the lavender pedicure. It was one of the best pedicures I've had in a very long time. The massage was amazing. I want to start off by saying the pedicure was amazing and I will return for another. They really do an amazing job on massaging your legs and feet. The higher packages do a great job of removing any rough patches on winter skin. It's very relaxing and the mini massage at the end is wonderful. I was not happy with my dip manicure though. First the design I showed was promised but not able to be done. It was not what is shown in pictures at all. Second, my cuticles are torn and the dip is all in them. Third, I got home I realized my one finger had a chip in it already. The guy was very rough with my hands too and the experience was not relaxing at all. This was the worst experience. I called at THEY THEY DON'T DESERVE A RATING 10:00am to schedule a 12:00pm appointment. I arrived at 12:00pm and the appt was for a powder service. It is now 12:26pm and there have been several people that have walked In and have been serviced. I was told that I had to wait for someone to do my service and that is not they are advertising. Clean salon, easy access. I just got the basic pedicure and couldn't be happier. Large selection of colors. Brian trimmed and filed my nails and massaged my legs and feet and finished with lotion and hot towels. Finished with standard polish. Their chairs do not massage, but the good news is they give a quick neck and shoulder massage and quick dry spray after feet under the fan. I had cash but left extra tip on my card. Three at best. I probably won't be back. I had a set of gel tips put on last week, but wanted to update them, getting a mani and a pedi before a girls beach weekend. PEDI: The young lady who did my pedicure did a great job, but the color (one of the other techs picked out to match my mani) didn't match. Close, from afar...maybe. I didn't realize this until I was done & under a fan, checking if my pedi was dry. MANI: The guy (scorpion tattoo on his hand) I had for the mani barely uttered a few words, was a little rough, and instead of communicating, would tap me or the drying light gadget...SMH. He really needs to communicate better. I'm not a hard customer and used to get this done routinely for years. I probably shouldn't have tipped 20%. He also didn't use clean files, and the room, although decorated nicely, was a bit messy. There is also gunk under my nails I'll need to clean out. Very rude! They don't say hello, welcome, thank you... the girl even cut my skin and didn't even apologize! She knew enough english to say ombre cost extra but not enough to say sorry after she cut my skin. At the end she added a shape charge on top of the up charge for ombre and was staring at me writing the tip amount. I didn't get a thank you or have a nice day. I came here and got a full set Thursday. Service was quick. But the shape was absolutely awful. $77 for a plain short full set + tip. When I tried to use my giftcard their system was down and they said I have to use it next time. I went home and had to file them myself to make them look decent. Think twice before you go to Luxe Nails in Lewes! You may request a tech when you schedule your appointment, but that doesn't mean you get them. They have zero customer service and what really upset me is how rude some of the techs are. They act mad and very disgruntled. There is a male tech with the scorpion tattoo in particular that was extremely rude! He was pulling my hand and was rough while doing my nails and said something rude as well. He abruptly stood up and came over and pushed my chair in closer because he was annoyed? He made me feel so uncomfortable. I've never had this experience before in any nail salon. I just had a horrible experience at Luxe. Interestingly, the Owner didn't seem to be there, so maybe his staff doesn't behave when he is out. The manicurist wasn't wearing her name badge so I don't know which one it was. But she was visibly agitated from the moment I arrived for a scheduled appointment. I was trying to find my color, and she was clearly angry that I didn't remember the number, then she insisted that a pink color was a match when my nails were ORANGE. I wanted to look at the colors in the drawer because I think I would recognize the name, and one of the men opened it for me to look, but she proceeded to slam the drawer shut. I think I wanted sugar maple, but we'll never know now! I could understand if I had taken a long time selecting, but I had been in the store for less than three minutes. I just selected a totally different color, and sat down. She started by cutting my fake nails short, and insisting that she hadn't cut any of my natural nails, which I was trying to grow out. Then she started grinding away with a very rough bit at high speed. My nails felt like they would burst into flame. Of the nails she didn't cut too short, she ground them down so unevenly that they would also have to be cut down. How many times does a person have to jump and say "ouch!!" ? So incredibly rough and rushed. Clearly she had somewhere else she wanted to be, and she was going to extract a pound of my flesh for having the gall to schedule an appointment. I finally just aborted the mission, and left after the fake nails were removed. I will find another nail salon. read more

I called the store spoke with the owner he told me to come back today or tomorrow I live an hour away so they would have been closed by the time I got to them I can't go tomorrow as I explained to him because I have my wedding dress fitting as these were supposed to be my wedding nails. He told me that you don't go to a restaurant and eat, then poop out the food an ask for a refund. I said that's not the same thing as I got them done an hour prior he got upset and said there was nothing he could do and hung up. still charged me $ 110 for a full set French tip because she couldn't do the design I originally asked for and still charged me the price of the design I wanted. I just got a gel manicure, and Honestly I hate getting my nails done but I like for them to look good so the fact that my tech did it super fast was excellent. I didn't catch his name, but the man with the scorpion tattoo on his hand was great & very efficient. My nails turned out great, I will definitely be back. I see some of the comments saying the customer service is lacking, I was greeted immediately by two people, and was sitting in a chair in under 5 mins. They ended up having to change the color (I picked out an white/blush, and they gave me a bubblegum pink). At this point I was upset because the second color (ivory) they put on still ended up being pink because they didn't fully take off the first color but I didn't want to say anything and be a bitchy customer. The shapes are all different, there's thick spots on a few of the nails, they didn't scrape under my nails afterward, and my cuticles are bleeding in a few spots. I have gone to a wide range of nail salons both in DE and outside of DE over the past 20 years. I have never been treated so poorly by a nail business. He acted like it was a big bother to do the gel filling. He clearly does not enjoy his job and if it was just a bad day please don't take it out on your customers. The customer service at this establishment is absolutely horrific. From the moment I walked in I felt rushed, uncomfortable, and honestly like me being there was a bother to them. I felt like I didn't even have time to look through all the gel nail colors because the nail tech was just standing there hovering looking annoyed. And to make it worse, my pedicure honestly looks like a child did it. I truly feel like my toes looked better before I even got this pedicure. All of my nails are cut uneven and way too short, the polish job is terrible, and there was an extreme lack of attention to detail when it comes to the actual pedicure. There was no exfoliating or removal of any dead skin. He probably used the pumice stone on my feet for maybe 30 seconds total. And there was no top coat put on my toenails. But I will say, he was definitely nicer than the two ladies that did my manicure. I said hello and got ignored twice. And I'm not someone who likes to talk during services, but really? The nail techs switched halfway through my manicure and not a word was mentioned. The nail tech shaping my nails burned me with the nail file multiple times and acted like nothing happened. The entire manicure felt extremely rushed and like it was was a bother to them. The massage felt like I was just being punched in the back to the point where I had I had to pull away because it hurt so bad. Wendy's pedicure was fine... she was a bit rough with the cuticle nippers at first, but when I jumped she lightened up. But then I had to sit and wait -- more than 20 minutes -- for someone to get free to do my manicure. I was seated right next to another customer, and would have been more comfortable with more spacing between chairs. When I sat down for the manicure, the old gels came off easily, but then the tech proceeded to rough up the nail surface with that electric grinding tool they have. She was sloppy, and it hurt... she was all over my cuticles with it, to the point that one bled a little. The cuticles are still all red today. I've never seen anyone do that before. Plus, they must have given me a trainee (no name tag) because just as she started polishing, someone else came over and took her place. read more
