Since I was unable to get on the schedule with another salon that I typically visit, I booked an appointment with Tony for a cut and highlights. I had never been to the salon before, and I was a tad nervous, because I have a huge event coming up in one week. Tony totally nailed it. Very impressed with his skills. The only reason I didn't choose 5 stars is because I was there for 4.5 hours because of a minor scheduling hiccup. Also, the decor in the spa is outdated, dark, fake plants. I went there yesterday to get a simple manicure which lady didn't know to do. She claimed that she didn't cut my cuticles well cos she was scared to cut me. Well honestly , she didn't even know how to hold the file. I wanted to do a gel manicure but after I figured how bad she was, I was like I don't need any polish. I complained at front desk and they didn't charge me. I went to the other place called TNT nails in Rehoboth and they did wonderful job. If you like gossip and caddy nonsense this it the place for you. Personally it's not for me. They do good services and they have a nice aesthetic going on but I can't get over the dynamic in this place. Also, you have to bring cash for tips. They do have a atm available for a fee. I have had manicures, pedicures, waxing, cuts, color, facials and a few other services here. I had a facial service a few days ago and I left feeling down on myself. The owner didn't talk much but when she did talk enough to tell me how terrible my skin was. I actually have great skin so I don't know why she had a need to put me down. I have heard similar stories from friends, it's not just me. We're suppose to lift each other up in this life and not bring each other down. So I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Bling Bombed. Chapter 1 I went here for a long time and moved away. I drove 2 hours to get my hair cut yesterday, because in the past, when I lived over here, the stylist at Blings, always did such a fantastic job with my cut and color. My new stylist, in Easton sadly, had died last week. Chapter 2 So back to my story...I have waist length hair. She must have been having a really, off day because for some reason she decided to wreck mine and then some. I retold her, because it had been 2 years, "Please cut 3 inches and leave it covering my breast, because... I have a horribly, botched cancer reconstruction, I hide under my hair". What part of that sentence, didn't she understand, especially since she cut my hair for year, before I moved away. In fact, I used to give her referrals. She said she remembered about covering my chest. Chapter 3 So in answer to all that, she whacked off 6 inches of my hair and now it will easily be, 6 months before it grows back enough to even cover my breast. Whacked. She left 2 long skinny pointy pieces in front, totally out of proportion to the cut and that is how she covered my breast reconstruction. When I asked why, she cut my hair so short, she said "It needed it". I kept saying it doesn't look finished, knowing I was already screwed. Chapter4 I went back an hour later and had her cut her awful, hideous looking, points off, because it looked horrible. Guess where she snipped those 2 ridiculous things off? The parking lot. Suffice to say...The whole cut is uneven and, looks like crap. Chapter 5 ...The hair washer wasn't wearing a mask. I asked if he was vaccinated. He said he believes that is private information so, I knew he wasn't. He wouldnt wear a mask, either. Given the woman owner/stylist of the Salon I go to in Easton MD just died of CoVid, last Monday, all I can say is, Really??? Chapter 6 Now I have to sit here and wait 6 months to be comfortable in my own skin again, and recognize myself again and, hope I didn't catch CoVid when all I wanted was a 3 inch trim. Yeah yeah yeah, it's only hair and it will grow back, does not a repeat client, make. But... It did cause me to stew enough, to sit down and write a thumbs down review, I hoped I'd never have to write. As far as i'm concerned Bling has gone down the toilet. Last dime I'll ever spend there. I didn't even get to go in for the appointment, I called a week ago spoke very thoroughly with a man on the phone with exactly what I wanted and gave him my work schedule we then made an appointment and then I get a call on a day that my appt is not on from a woman telling me she's expecting me now. I told her there must've been a mistake because I'm at work I asked her if she has anything for the day that my original appointment was made for. She says yes then makes the appointment for that day. Then I call this morning the day of said appointment twice now. And they tell me they have me on the schedule for four days out and that this day has been booked for weeks. Now i'm left with nothing. After about a week and a half. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life!! I went to get my hair done with a bridal party. My hair was slightly damp when I showed up. The hairdresser scolded me saying, "you KNEW you were supposed to show up here with blow-dried, ready to go hair." I actually was not aware that showing up with my hair slightly damp in a hair salon filled with millions of hair driers would be an issue. She then continued to ask to me if I was going to "be able to pay for this, because it is $75 you know." Excuse me? I'm a waitress and that would be like me asking my customers if they were going to be able to pay for the bill before I took their order. I'm young, but that is no reason to assume I wouldn't be able to pay for the services I sat down for. I obviously knew I was going to be spending money. I was extremely offended. All the hairdresser did was blow dry my hair for 2 minutes, put it in a side pony and curl my hair. This cost me $75 and we were not discounted in anyway for coming in a large bridal party. Most of the girls were very unhappy about the results of their hair. This was a horrible, offensive experience and I do not recommend anyone go to this salon. read more

If you like ambience with your haircut, pedicure, massage or other spa service, you would be hard-pressed to find better in the Rehoboth/Lewes area than Bling. As with any salon, the quality of the service for spa treatments will vary with the person performing the service. I have been going there for several years and really enjoy my time in Bling because they go all out to make the environment beautiful. Initially, I went to Bling for hair cut/color, pedicure and massage, which are the only spa services I use. Unfortunately, last year, my nail and massage person left Bling and went to another salon. I felt that both her work and the rapport we had built up over several years were worth my loyalty, so I followed her to her new salon nearby. I do, however, still go to Bling for hair. There are approximately a half dozen hair stylists working at any given time. The shampoo room is darkened and you are offered lotion for your hands and a cool or warm eye mask while you have your shampoo. A very relaxing experience. As noted earlier, who you get for your shampoo makes a big difference in what your experience will be. One or two send me to heaven and the rest are just okay. I love the pedicure room, which has 3 pedi stations with massage chairs. While I am fragrance sensitive, I LOVE the fragrances they use both in the water and in the lotion they use to massage your feet and legs. It is all part of the experience! They offer both a maintenance pedi and a spa (Bling) pedi. The mani room is the only room I find to be just okay. It is kind of crowded in there. The massage and facial rooms are relaxing and super comfortable. For a massage, the room is darkened and there is lovely, relaxing music playing. As I am fragrance sensitive, I asked my massage therapist for no- or low-fragrance oils/creams. Whoever is providing your service asks if you want something to drink. Note that they no longer allow customers to include the tip on your credit card when you pay for your service, so remember to have some cash on hand to tip. That the staff appears to have a great rapport is both a pro and a con. A pro because it makes for a peaceful experience. A con because, well, there is sometimes a lot of socializing going on. It all depends on who you're dealing with. Some reviewers have given Bling 1 star for ONE bad experience with ONE employee. I think that is unfair. If you have a bad experience, talk to the manager and let her know you are unhappy. She may be able to recommend someone else that may be a better fit for you. The very first time I came to Bling, I had a pedicure. I did not end up going back to that person. I tried someone else, and ended up being with her for several years (and still am at a new salon). read more

Be sure to call and confirm your reservation!!! Called 8 days prior to our appointments to get a reservation for pedicures for 2 people. The person on the phone confirmed that we were both previous clients and got us in together for the following Saturday. Drove from Newark to Rehoboth so looking forward to our pedicures. Get there and they only had one of us scheduled. So DISAPPOINTING especially when it seemed to not even phase the person at the desk. I went in without an appointment desperate for a pedicure. The kind gentleman at the front desk apologized but said they didn't have anyone available. So, I started looking at nail polish colors. While I was doing that, he checked with one of the professional nail techs to see if they could squeeze in at least a color change - and they made it happen! I was so impressed. I totally wish I'd read the other reviews earlier - this place was horrible! The decor is very beautiful, but the personalties of their staff? Not so much. I came all the way from Dover to my appointment only to discover the time had been mixed up and I was late. Obviously I'd come all the way there and I needed to get my hair done that day. They set me up with another stylist, and when the stylist I'd originally had the appointment with found out she proceeded to get angry and huffy right in front of me, as if I'd intentionally screwed her over! And then made the comment that the way my name is spelled is incorrect. How are you gonna tell someone how their name should be spelled?! At that point I should have left, but I stayed on for my appointment and was rewarded with all of my hair being chopped off. I had very long, naturally curly hair all the way down my back & I was very specific about wanting the length to still come well below the shoulder blades to the middle of my back. Now my hair barely touches my shoulders. I could tell the stylist messed up when she had to stop and look at my hair and say "Let me figure out what I'm doing wrong here." Seriously?? Who says that aloud?! So she just kept chopping and chopping, and while it was wet and combed straight it didn't look too bad. But once it was dry and had curled back up, I realized she had gone way overboard with the cutting. I look absolutely ridiculous. She kept telling me how gorgeous I looked, when in all actuality I look like an over-grown fourth grader. The cut doesn't flatter my face in the least. If this is what a high-end salon has to offer, I'd much go back to getting my hair cut in the kitchen of my friends house!!! read more

I absolutely would never recommend this "salon" I paid 105$ + tip for a haircut I could of gotten at Supercuts for 20$. I picked this place because I am biracial and they "specialize" in devacuts.I have curly hair so I need someone who knows how to cut curly hair and they gave me very choppy layers which is SO bad in curly hair. the girl who cut my hair gave me opposite of what I wanted even though I kept saying I don't want it that short she still cut I am disappointed to say the least and don't even want to give them one star. read more

Just had a fabulous facial at Bling. It was so relaxing and the massage that went along with it was just perfect. The warm towels that are used have aromatherapy oil on them so the smell of fresh citrus was so fresh it smelled like someone just peeled an orange. My skin looks rehydrated and healthy again I've been a regular at the salon since they've opened and have only had positive experiences there. I get hair, nails and skin services there. read more

Really a great find. I am new to the area and stopped in for a manicure. The staff is really friendly. I had a glass of ice water in hand before I had a chance to sit down. Shelves are stocked with all the latest beauty supplies. When I was getting my nails done everyone seemed to know one another and joined in the conversation. Don't go to this place if you are getting any kind of facial wax. Instead of a private room with a comfortable chair, you have to lay your head back at the shampoo basin in the middle of everyone getting their hair washed. Besides the lack of privacy, the technician got wax all over my face, including a big glob in my hair, which was a pain to get out when I got home.
