Despite living directly across the street from this enticing establishment for the past 4 years, I finally made my way in for dinner for the first time just last evening with a dear out-of-town friend. From the warm greeting we received from the manager/host, Silva, to the delicious salad (with an extra side of green goddess dressing!) and perfectly al dente pastas (2 different selections) to the professional yet personable service...it was a lovely experience. Kicking myself for having waited this long to enjoy this neighborhood gem. I'll now be making the 50-pace trek several times per month. read more

I enjoyed how quaint and intimate the spot was. I went as a date-night and enjoyed ordering a combination of veggies from the veggie menu as well as pastas. I did not get a chance to try the meats. For veggies we got Burrata, Snap Peas, and Fingerling Potatoes. Thee snap peas were so crispy, that they were like yummy shoestring fries... delish!I would also say that the burrata is a must order. The fingerling potatoes were a little bit fishy for my taste because of the anchovy aioli, but the waitress also told me that I could have gotten it without. Okay, now for the pinnacle of the meal. I'll ramp up to it. The Strozzapreti pasta was tasty. It was nice to have one that had a more neutral taste to cut the strong flavor or the other pasta. This was prepared in a broccoli pesto, which almost erred on the side of being too bland-- the pine nuts are the most pungent part, which tells you a little about the flavor index of the rest of the dish. The delicious finale was the Conchiglie pasta. It's a must order. I started the night not even remembering generally if I enjoy pastas in a vodka sauce or not. By the end, I was craving another order and googling recipes for pasta with vodka sauces to make at home. The noodles of the pasta were cooked to perfection. Definitely don't come here without trying a few. Something about the ambiance and service felt off. I think it was the socially distanced environment given COVID, so it felt like we were under a microscope and the servers were hovering; might be worth waiting to dine in-person post-pandemic. read more

Great spot for a cozy meal with great service. Came in on a chilly night with a friend and settled in for lots of great food- Started with shared burrata which in all fairness is hard to mess up but was served with a well spiced prune compote which added a twist. Then I proceeded to inhale the rigatoni which was tossed with a rich lamb ragu - there weren't any leftovers. Finished off the great meal with a shared dessert - the olive oil cake which was nice and light (or as light as a cake can be). Will definitely be back! read more

We had been wanting to try Vendemmia for some time and finally decided to go for a friend's birthday. There were a lot of great looking dishes on the menu, but we decided to go for the $75/person tasting menu and we were blown away! They say that it is 4 courses, but we got 4 different appetizer courses, 2 pastas, 1 main and 2 desserts. More than enough food for the 4 of us and all were absolutely delicious! If you're on the fence about the tasting menu, I say just pull the trigger - you won't be disappointed! I highly recommend Vendemmia - we will be back very soon! read more

Had dinner here in June with a friend and we decided to do the four course tasting menu because we couldn't decide what to order. Oh my... for the people, we got soooo much food. While it was four courses, we received multiple items for each course. And it was all delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful and well prepared. A bit pricey for a weeknight meal, yet a decent price for all of the food we received and enjoyed. read more

Meh. It wasn't bad bad, but definitely underwhelming. Nothing was above expectations, we were sat very close to the table next to us, they were out of both the pork chop and the beef (and had the nerve to tell us "the chef didn't like how the wagyu was coming out" instead of just apologizing), and we left feeling like it's probably not worth going back. read more

Met a friend for dinner here one night and enjoyed the urban design, innovative menu, and fresh ingredients. The dining area is pretty small and this place fills up around dinner time, so I recommend you have reservations or you'll be lucky enough to even get bar seating like I was. The set up is one small dining area with an open kitchen on one side and a small bar with rather uncomfortable but stylish bar stools. The pragmatic husband of mine has made me dislike fashion over practicality! What I did love, was the large open windows facing the street that can open up to their little patio space in the summer. Their Scandinavian style dishware was also a huge hit with me. The bartender was our server and she did a great job the whole night and was actually really patient with us when we were literally the last ones in the restaurant after closing time. Their menu is limited and didn't have many 'sharing' style plates, so come prepared to order a la carte for each person. Their menu is separated into vegetables, pasta (no gluten free options), and proteins. Being celiac it was a little difficult for me to order here but they tried to accommodate me which I always appreciate. We sampled the burrata and they put the bread on the side, the snap peas, and brussels sprouts. All were great and I wish I could have sampled the protein section but the friend I was with only wanted snacks. Everything came out beautifully plated and had excellent flavors. Will have to come back soon to explore more of their seasonal menu. read more

A friend recommended Vendemmia to me and I'm so glad I tried it! We made reservations for a Sunday evening and we're glad we did - cause all the tables were pretty full for a Sunday evening! We were celebrating a friend's bday. Service was great and everyone was friendly. The ambiance was good for a date - Dim lighting, easy atmosphere for conversation, not super huge or cramped. *Hamachi Crudo - I've had this at so many restaurants, I almost feel like it's overdone. But this one was so fresh and so so different! It came with a green pickled blend on top - apparently gooseberry, cucumber and basil. Fresh and delicious! 5/5 *Snap Peas - with Dungeness Crab, Endive and Chives. I've never had snap peas served this way but the dish itself is light in flavor so you get the crunch of the snap peas but can still taste the Dungeness crab. I thought it needed more flavor, especially coming out directly after the hamachi crudo. 3/5 *Burrata - Bosc Pear, Pistachio and Grilled Bread. This dish was so good! We loved everything about the burrata spread and the mix of flavors with the pear! Bread was nice and toasty! 5/5 *Beef Tartare - shallot and grilled bread. This wasn't my favorite beef tartare cause the flavors were again light and there wasn't anything special about this tartare. 3/5 *Tagliatelle with Braised Duck - O.M.G and we have a winner for the night! This pasta dish was fantastic! Noodles cooked right, sauce in point, Duck was tender small pieces and definitely not gamey. My bf doesn't like Duck and loved this dish. There was a dried mushroom in the dish that gave it a crunch. Not sure with else but it was amazing! We all said we would come back just for this dish alone!! 6/5 *Rigatoni with a Lamb Ragu, oregano and pecorino. I think Vendemmia does pasta dishes best! This one can't compare to the braised duck tagliatelle but if we came and had this dish first, it would have been just as perfect! Good Ragu sauce, pasta cooked perfectly. 5/5 *Smoked Potato - tasted like it sounds with mustard and charred onion. Ok dish - nothing to rave about. 2/5 *Rainbow Carrots with pickled green walnuts, feta and honey. Sweet and delicious! Veggies done right! 4/5 *Tri Tip Steak with Celery Root, Squash and Watercress. One of my least favorite dishes of the night. The steak was tough and the flavors were just ok. 2/5 *Pork Chop with nectarine, olive and a verde. We didn't like any of the protein dishes at Vendemmia. Pork chop was tough and none of the flavors went together in this dish. The nectarine didn't add to the dish cause of the way it was done. The olives and the verde were a weird mix. Stick to pastas and some of the sides! 1/5 *Ricotta Cake, Pear Sorbet and Panna Cotta - the pear sorbet was the winner of the 3. So good and tasted so fresh with so much pear flavors! So good that my bf has been talking about it and looking for pear sorbet the last week. Yum! Ricotta cake was a nice moist cake - nothing special. And the panna cotta was very savory if you want a savory dessert. But do yourself a favor and get that pear sorbet! Overall, a great dining experience! I would definitely come back but now I know what to order cause there were definitely dishes we loved and dishes we hated! More good dishes than bad though! Get the pastas!!! read more

Came here for restaurant week and for $35, this tasting menu dinner has got to be the best deal in Seattle. There are 3 dishes that come with the first course, and there was a tomato bread salad dish that really surprised me in a good way, and the star of course was the octopus that was so so tender. The main courses were epic of course - I was in love with the fusilli that had such a unique and complex combination of flavor that was richly beef shanky. The person I came with got the short rib and I tried it and it was also extremely impressive with the most decadent polenta I've ever had. Desserts were the perfect way to end the meal with unique creamy and fruity flavors. Can't wait to come back here! read more

This is our favorite restaurant in Seattle. Birthday dinner? Vendemmia. Anniversary? Vendemmia. Seattle Restaurant week? Definitely Vendemmia. Happy Hour? Vendemmia. If you order the tasting menu you get all of the appetizers, pastas and mains to share with the table. We always go with the wine parings when we do the tasting menu. However they make some yummy and creative cocktails too so check out the drink specials too! Our menu faves are the beef tartare, the beets and goat cheese, and practically any of their fabulous fresh pasta dishes. I will typically go with a beef or pork entree and my partner will usually have the fish. We are never disappointed. read more

We've been here 3 times now and always have gotten their chef tasting menu - $75 per person. The wine pairing is a steal as well at $40. In our 3 times there- we haven't had any duplicates - which is amazing and exciting as a diner. Although sometimes we wished there were! You get a few appetizers. (Our favorite was a cold pâté with currants) Then salad. Then some sort of pasta. And then meat dish (their pork shank is delish and so tender!) and then dessert (tiramisu - need I say more?). They also could accommodate my tree nut allergy. We usually can't finish - so have some to take home for lunch the next day. read more

This place isn't worth the price. Had a reservation for over a week and put in the special occasion notes that it was my wife's birthday. We arrived to a pretty dining area with many open tables and bar seating. However the hostess proceeds to walk us past all that, past the bathrooms, and into this undecorated and absolutely silent back room with a couple tables where another couple was seated. It was awkwardly silent back there with none of the music/ambient sound. We sat in silence before an employee decided to lazily place a iPad on top of a bookshelf blasting music to "set the mood" im assuming. It was pretty comical as me and my wife couldn't believe what was going on. Only to have the hostess rush in and turn the iPad off. We asked politely if we could sit out in the main dining area you would expect with a reservation. Hostess said she would check, even though again there were many open tables. She moved us to the main dining area, and ended up eating a delicious meal. But WAY overpriced! Don't want to say my wife was discriminated against, but it makes me wonder if the reservation was under my last name where we would be sat originally. read more

This is a two part Yelp belated post from a birthday celebration (6/9/15) and for Day 1 of Seattle Restaurant Week campaign (10/15/17). Both dinner visits were specifically with the intent of celebrating at Vendemmia. The first visit was a culinary revelation along the retail and restaurant row on 34th Avenue in Seattle's Madrona neighborhood. Definitely something different from my visits at St. Clouds or Hi Spot Café. This uplifted my spirits since I was worn out juggling a new job and dealing with an ailing parent. As a cancer warrior, I treasure each birthday I get to celebrate. I recall the lovely atmosphere, impeccable service, and amazing food. It was a feast for the senses. I just located my digital photos and posted them this evening (11/15/17). Who knows where that digital camera went? Thank goodness I had transferred these photos to a file on my ancient laptop. In the interim, I had enjoyed several visits to the late Contadino over on 19th E in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Still hadn't checked out East Anchor Seafood (Madrona) or Raccolto (West Seattle) though. I was saddened when Contadino had closed. I had made a mental note that I needed to revisit Vendemmia. I had that opportunity a month ago (10/15/17) during the first day of the Seattle Restaurant Week (SRW) campaign. My sennin-so shiatsu LMP reminded me that I really needed to make the effort to take better care of myself and partake in fun activities of my choosing. Gave myself plenty of time to deal with traffic, found parking by Vendemmia, but had a tiny mocha first at a nearby indie café. Yes, it would have been more enjoyable to be with others, but this 6pm reservation was solo for the purpose of taking myself out on a 'date'. Life's too short to expect magic to happen, especially with my chaotic roller coaster called life. I was seated at a two top by the entrance and host stand. I had a great view of the open kitchen, but was not distracted by the full restaurant and bar scene. I was really focused on each dish brought to my table. I was shocked that I was given all four of the starters. So rather than the expected three courses for SRW, I had experienced six! The flavors (with a capitol F), textures, visual composition were incredible. I had to remind myself that I had to pace myself. I still ended up having to box up some of my starters (charred broccoli and chicory apple salad) but definitely the Hamachi crudo and pork loin with tonnato were devoured! Same fate happened with half of the herb stuffed porchetta with autumn squash and pickled chanterelles. Made for an amazing lunch the next day. I barely made it through the dessert selected, the baked budino, as I thought of the Monty Python reference of 'one thin mint'. Overindulged, but overall dining experience was phenomenal. The cuisine and service were memorable that photos from 6/9/15 and my visit a month ago on 10/15/17 remain vivid. Vendemmia is definitely highly recommended! read more

We love coming to Vendemmia! Their simple spaghetti never disappoints. The pastas tend to be pretty al dente, which is my preference. The veggies and small plates that I've tried over time have always been good. I tried the beef tartare on my most recent trip and was very happy with it. Nice wine selection. The only negative comment I have is that the tomato based meat pastas tend to be salty (aside from one or two staples, their pasta selection changes frequently, and there are usually one or two meat ones). Most recently, it was the beef shank paccheri that was borderline TOO salty. Everything was cooked well and the flavors/richness were good, but definitely very salty. My boyfriend agreed, and he even had a cold that was dulling his taste buds. Normally I would say this is a one-off, but I've had similar experiences in previous visits, one involving some type of a bolognese sauce. So, we always get one spaghetti to be safe :) I haven't been here for Happy Hour yet (I attached a menu since I couldn't find one posted anywhere) but based on the prices it seems like a great deal to get some of their staples. Absolutely would be back to try the HH tartare, spaghetti, and a glass of wine :) read more

I haven't had an amazing dining experience like this for a while - I would give 6 stars for the beautiful meal and experience we had on New Year's Eve. The staff was friendly and fun, and the food was stunning and honestly I felt was a good value for what we got. I can't wait to go back! read more

The food was quite good and the portions appropriate. There were three in our party and we found the food easy to share. The service was quite good and appropriate. WOW really enjoyed this place tonight. We booked a 7 pm reservation for two on a Thursday evening just for fun. Came in to a nice open bar/kitchen space with intimate table settings. There were maybe 10 tables total ranging from 2 tops to 4 tops for the most part as well as some bar seats. Drinks - enjoyed my cocktail (union mezcal drink) but switched over to wine as it felt more fitting with pasta. Decent wine by the glass list with a lot of variety, as well as some bottle options. I really liked the Zingari Rosso which was a cherry-forward, lighter sangio blend. Apps. I don't think we had one thing we didn't like. We started with a half dozen oysters. They weren't big but they were sure delicious. The vinaigrette was amazing. We also had beets and burrata. Beets were different than I've ever had them. They were yellow beets and more savory with herbs and arugula vs the traditional red beets with goat cheese and nuts that you can order at most places. The burrata with eggplant was a party in my mouth. The perfect mix of creamy and savory with the eggplant. The bread was oily (in a good way) and toasted to perfection. Pasta. We ordered 3 because we couldn't choose. The squid ink tagliarini was the special of the night and my favorite one. It was savory and spicy and relatively light tasting with a good amount of dungeness crab. The tagliatelle was awesome as well with fresh egg noodles and oxtail. My least favorite was the agnolotti because it was sweet tasting and very rich (almost like a Cinnabon) but if you have a hankering for sweeter dishes, this is perfect for you. Definitely different vs other agnolotti dishes. Wouldn't order again but glad to have tried. We passed on dessert because of the sheer amount of food we ordered but they had some interesting desserts including housemade limoncello. 2 drinks each and all that food was about $200 with tip which is a bit high for a random week day but it was well worth it and I basically have a full tagliatelle for lunch tomorrow. We will be back! Thanks for the nice evening. read more

Seattle Restaurant Week April 2018 Service: Bad. She forgot one of the 4 starters and we didn't realize this until after we paid and I snapped a photo of the menu for Yelp. Her response? "Sorry, I wish you had told me earlier." And that was it. Keeping track of the courses is her job, not mine. We put 2 cards down, she asked if we wanted to split it and she ran my card twice. Our server Anna basically did a crappy job. Food: Starters 1. Octopus--Octopus was so tender and the cauliflower had a nice crunch. 2. Asparagus--Missing 3. Mizuno salad--Felt very spring. It was a nice balance to the heavier pasta. 4. Tagliatelle--My favorite after the octopus. The pasta had fresh peas (a bit too firm) and a minty cream sauce. Main Halibut--Preparation could be better. One piece of halibut was nicely seared and the other had no sear on it at all so that nice crunchy top was missing. The fish itself was very tender but I could have used a bit more sauce. Dessert 1. Ricotta cake--It was served warm!! Make sure to get this. It was so tender and we loved the grapes and almonds on top. 2. Panna Cotta--Skip. It was creamy and dense but the topping didn't do much for it. I would opt for the tiramisu instead. That looked better once i saw it. I still think this place is a good deal for SRW but next time I'm going to watch the server closely to make sure I get everything that I paid for. read more

Disastrous Last Minute Expectation Setting for V-Day I have a hard enough time finding a spot for my son's Feb 14 birthday. I made reservations well in advance with his input on his favorite dishes. When I made the reservation, there was no mention of a $90 tasting menu with a limited number (4) of main dishes. I thought we had the regular menu. I had used OpenTable and Yelp to locate the restaurant. Just today, I got a voicemail today (same day as reservation) saying that "... we did just want to let you know that we are serving a Valentine's tasting menu that is $90 per person." The wording in the message seemed to indicate that they needed to let me know something I didn't know. I called back and said that my son had picked out his favorite dishes weeks ago prior to reserving and not one of them was on the tasting menu. The response I got was, "We have a small kitchen and can't do a la carte. We updated Resy and it was on our website" (I get it from their perspective, but I used Yelp and OpenTable and they failed to set my expectations on those platforms). I never would have made the reservation with them had I known it was a limited menu. Now I'm scrambling for a solution for my son's birthday on a holiday. This is not a way to run the business. read more

Kind of a late post... My girlfriend and I came here for dinner on 1/24/23 for the first time as a recommendation by one of her patients. WOW! What a cute restaurant! The staff was amazing and super nice. We ordered the Chicken Liver Mousse and we both ordered the Gnocchetti De Sardo. The Chicken Liver Mousse was amazing, it came with a prune jam type spread and it went so well together. There was so much of the mousse that the server offered us more bread. We didn't even have to ask! The Gnocchetti was perfect. (We thought it was Gnocchi but it's a Gnocchi shaped pasta). The lemon in the dish made it so fresh. It's a wonderful light pasta that didn't make you feel heavy afterwards. I think this will be my go to pasta at this restaurant. We saw a couple orders of the Pork Shank Osso Bucco go by and we were just drooling.. it looked so beautiful sitting on a bed of polenta! That is a must try. This restaurant is super cute to go to as a date or as a cute girls night out. We had the best time and food! read more

We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The service was easily better than service my partner and I have received elsewhere. We believe we've gotten an age bias before at other restaurants that are equally if not more expensive than Vendemmia. We ordered the focaccia & it was WARM. This is something that seems unheard of here in Seattle restaurants. So that was a wonderful treat. Kusshi Oysters - DELICIOUS order them if you like oysters! Snap Peas - had good bits of crab in them and the endive was perfectly crisp. The actual peas were a bit hard and the entire appetizer was slightly overdressed but we were still pleasantly surprised. Mushrooms - they were served room temperature but the flavor was great. Whatever seasoning they used really enhanced the mushroom. They added micro greens and a cottled egg that paired wonderfully with the dish. (Another thing I appreciated is they delicately added micro greens they were not overbearing) Pasta (started with a T and had shrimp and Uni) - overall it was lacking in shrimp it had about two whole shrimps with the tail off and a piece of Uni on top (sea urchin). The base was simple it was a butter/pasta water type of emulsion it was not separated at all. The texture was similar to a beurr blanc sauce. I forgot to ask if the spaghetti was made in house but my partner believes it had the extra chew like a fresh noodle does and found it quite pleasant. Duck - Wow! The portion was huge! We could have gone with half the amount of meat and a few more parsnips on the plate. Duck skin needs to be crispy and it was perfectly crisp! The cook was also perfect! Black cod - The plating was beautiful and the watermelon radishes seemed delicately placed as well. Black cod is a fish that can really absorb lots of flavor my favorite way to prepare it is with ginger/sake/soy/ etc. The plate was missing acid but overall a great dish. read more

I'm so glad I discovered Vendemmia while doing an extensive restaurant search for my birthday! I made a reservation for four at 6:15 on a Thursday, and when we arrived the medium sized space was about a third or so full. The interior is simple, with an open kitchen on one end and a bar on the other. For drinks I went with the Basil Gimlet (gin, lime, basil + some sort of sweetener, I'd imagine) $14. The cocktail was herbal and tart with a hint of sweetness. Andd it was served in a coupe, which is my favorite glass! I'd definitely order this beverage again. I also had a sip of the 2 Rights Don't Make Wrong (bourbon, aperol, montenegro, lemon) $14. This pleasantly sweet, citrusy cocktail was also tasty! Served in a coupe with citrus garnish. The last drink I had a sip of was the Black Manhattan (rye whiskey, ramazzotti, bitter) $14--also good. A bit more on the bitter side but still delicious. Plus those cherry garnishes are always tasty! We wanted to try a few different appetizers and each order our own pasta dish, so we shared the G.H. Focaccia (4 slices, served with flavorful olive oil for dipping) $7. I love focaccia and this was indeed good, although I've had better--it was a tad dry on the edges. Still worth ordering if you'd like bread though! We also tried the Asparagus (calabrian chili, apple, hazelnut) $16. To have a plant-based option we opted to have the aioli served on the side. The asparagus plate included 5 hardy spears of asparagus topped with minced apple and a rustic hazelnut butter. Our waiter recommended this dish and it was very flavorful! I would love to order it again. We also split a few of the Gem Lettuce salads (green bean, pluot, mixed nuts) $15. The greens were nice and fresh, the green beans were cooked perfectly and the candied hazelnuts were super delicious! The pluots were on the crisper end of the spectrum and thinly sliced. My family usually prefers very lightly dressed salads so the vinaigrette was just a titch too heavy for us, but the average person would probably think it was a good amount. There were four pastas to choose from, one of which was plant-based, the Spaghetti (tomato, basil, olive oil, chili) $19, and one of which was vegetarian, the Creste Di Gallo (pistachio pesto, english peas, needles) $23. My sister went with the spaghetti and I was lucky to get a bite! It was subtly spicy and the sauce was very flavorful. The portion size was pretty generous too for a nicer establishment. I believe the creste pasta contains egg so they used the plant-based friendly spaghetti in my pesto dish. The prepared pesto sauce did contain Parmesan--I didn't bother changing my order after finding this out. The pesto was very light, creamy and mild in flavor, with fresh peas and pistachios distributed throughout. They did offer cracked black pepper and red pepper flakes when serving our pasta dishes, which I should have agreed to, for a little more flavor. A squeeze of lemon would have been nice for a hit of acid, although I did enjoy this simple dish. My mom ordered the creste as is and liked the original version. My dad inhaled his plate of Fusilli (beef shank, spring onion, escarole, pomodoro) $23. All of my family members, both omnivores and vegans, enjoyed our experience and would happily come back! Service was very good, and the street parking was easy right out front. It was chilly when we first sat down inside but once the place filled up more and we began eating it wasn't as noticeable. Looking forward to my next visit! I'll definitely be recommending Vendemmia to friends, family and acquaintances. read more

We recently enjoyed an amazing dining experience at Vendemmia. Upon arrival we were met with big smiles and immediately shown to our table. To our surprise we were treated to a private dining experience in the back room. The room was/is dimly lit, cozy and a perfect place for a large group. The music was the right volume to set a vibe, but didn't interfere with conversation. We all went with the chef's choice tasting menu and wine pairing. Absolutely have zero regrets. Every meal that arrived was perfectly prepared/displayed and the wine pairings were on-point. Delicious. But, I'd have to say, the cherry on top of the night was the service. I've dined here a number of times and the service is always memorable and a special part of the night. Friendly. Inviting. Had a great dinner here for our anniversary. Had their Black Manhattan and Malfy Negroni as aperitif cocktails and they were both good, although the negroni that my wife had was a bit sweet for my taste buds. The focaccia and asparagus appetizers hit the spot, though the asparagus was limited to just about 5 spears and were gone way too quickly! The 2 pasta dishes we had: fazzoletti (kerchief pasta) and agnolotti (small raviolis) were both delightful. The mushroom medley with the fazzoletti was incredible. I was a bit unsatisfied with the fazzoletti (small and al dente) as the last one I had in San Francisco was incredibly soft, delicious and substantially larger. That said I don't have too many comparisons to baseline how it should be. The agnolotti stuffed with burrata was very flavorful. Both portions were on the smaller side but were just right to fill each of us up without us feeling stuffed. The orange panna cotta dessert was excellent and a decent portion size for both of us to share. Espresso was spot on. The service was top notch! Highly recommended Vendemmia for a memorable dining experience. read more

While I appreciated their creativity and food presentation, the food itself were just okay and service is meh. read more

So we've been sitting waiting for our food for over an hour... The oysters arrive and she didn't introduce where they were from, told us nothing about it, still have no idea what her name was. The scotch is good as is the wine and yes it is a Friday, but still an hour and a half for ravioli that is hard around the edges and a plate of noodles? WTF The server uncorked an bottle of wine and pours it into a glass at the table next to us with all the grace of a bulldozer, my word who taught this lady how to bruise a good vintage of wine. Minus a star Our server seems surprised that we would be upset that we would have to wait an hour and a half for food. Think about how long it takes to plate food, this isn't the Cheesecake Factory, you don't have twenty two pages of food to prep, plan or cook for 500 people. I voice my concern to the hostess who assures me it's 'just a few more minutes.' So another 20 minutes goes by, then another ten and this plate is delivered with no intro, no here is your blah blah blah with blah and enjoy. Nope minus a star It looks like a piece of white stringy cabbage was tossed on top of my dish, the 'Lamb neck' is two little ravioli looking things wrapped in pasty white cabbage. I take a bite and the lamb is ok but it looks horribly unappealing and the cabbage isn't cooked it was pulverized and is now stringy. Who cooks food like this? Minus a star The restaurant was maybe half full or 2/3 for the absolute most wasn't that busy which makes sense the food is second grade at best the service was just unprepared, inept and for $149 plus a $20 tip I expect much better. If you ever think of coming to this please just DON'T, just go to Ruth Chris or Campagne and you actually get good food and consistency. Overhyped overcharged Our server was nice but I'm not looking for nice I'm looking for somebody who is competent and professional not somebody that pours wine like a troll and has no clue that we would be bothered by an hour and a half wait and just has no clue to check with the customer. That scowl on my face doesn't mean I like to wait, oh and how about you apologize or comp some food. Nice people but it was my anniversary and you screwed up a celebratory night, thanks for being overpriced amateurs, I really appreciate it! Sarcasm sign! read more

We wanted to celebrate a special occasion. The chef prepared an amazing menu with wine pairing for 7 of us. It was a meal to remember.
