Clean, plenty of seating. Service was fast. The quality of food was so so. The carrot cake was the best part. It is unfortunate this place is not consistent. I ordered the Cauliflower tacos on August 13 in the evening and they were delicious. I decided to order them again for lunch today, August 14 and they were terrible. Whoever is the cook at 2:30pm - 3:20pm today, August 14 did not drain the oil off. I received a two greasy cauliflower tacos- disgusting. Please check your cooks, obviously, they do not care what goes out to the customers. The food was okay, but they got my order wrong. It didn't match the ticket or the picture online. I ordered the Chik'nChz style fries, which was supposed to have cheese, ranch and buffalo sauce. Instead it was full of chili, beans and green onions, which ironically doesn't look like the picture for the ChiliChz bowl either. Since I'm traveling and ordered delivery, I can't send the food back. The bowl was okay, but I don't care for chili. I scraped most of it away. Green onions gross me out, so I picked them off. The tenders were okay, but kind of bland. Overall, I wasn't impressed. $25 for a dinner order that was messed up and that was after a $16 promo discount. I can't imagine paying 40 bucks for this. Yelp shows that they have beer and wine but they stopped selling it long ago. I came here about a month ago and had the Beyond Steak with bleu cheese. It was a small portion but very good. I went today to try the Oshi salmon. It was also a small portion but NOT good. Very fishy taste with the texture of tofu. The mangos in the mango salsa were so hard I couldn't eat them. I got the slaw not realizing it was jalapeño slaw. Bland and no flavor except for the spice of the jalapeños. Needed some dressing. I got some cucumber salad. Also very bland - no flavor. It was just cucumbers and raw carrots with a tiny hint of sugar in the watery dressing but no other flavor. The only edible part of my meal was the potatoes. Let's get our healthy on! It's been a long time since I've been back here, and it looks like there have been many changes. Nonetheless, I'll have to say I'm still a fan after this recent visit. The service was friendly and the ambiance was nice and inviting. And the food was yummy. My go to before was definitely the crispy chick'n sandwich with sweet potato (sweetheart) fries with chipotle aioli. My bestie decided to get that and it definitely didn't look the same and didn't taste the same either. The chik'n was super thin, and the chipotle aioli was lacking flavor. The sweetheart fries were still tasty though. We also tried the buffalo chik'n tenders, I liked the texture, it was nice and crispy, I would get plain next time as the sauce was too tangy for me. As for my order I decided to go with something new, the kimchi steak bowl; it was definitely flavor packed and I really enjoyed it, all the different components went well with each other and good portion size too. One of the best looking Veggie Grill locations. It just got a facelift after being bought out by Next Level Burger. My favorite thing about VG is how available around the city with various locations. You can count on their consistency when it comes to quality but if you like an item on the menu make sure to enjoy it while you can. They are continuously evolving and working on that menu. Some items like the classic VG Burger has stayed and is my go to. It's what VG does well. More recently they add Beyond Steak and Oshi salmon which have allowed them to cover more ground of the vegan curious audience and those vegans looking for a meal that allows them to experience meals they used to love but in a plant-based manner. The steak tastes like steak and the salmon is definitely made for those fish lovers. I encourage you to bring an omnivore or pescatarian to try these items. I hate to leave this review, but I'm hoping that in doing so, veggie grill will get its act together. My family ordered the holiday feast plus a carrot cake for this past Christmas to minimize the stress associated with cooking. Unfortunately, the reduction in cooking stress was accompanied by the reduction of flavor in our holiday meal plus a couple of other fun stuff. The green bean and carrot sides were devoid of flavor and on the undercooked side after heating the food according to the instructions. The pastry on the roast was stuck to the container it came in and ripped when trying to remove it to grease the container, per the cooking instructions, to prevent sticking. The irony, I know. Last but not least, the carrot cake had carrot shreds that were green. Why was it green? What made it green? Was it mold? I have no idea, but I tossed the cake to avoid food poisoning. Chrispy Deliciousness! The Crispy Cauliflower and Sweetheart Fries have greatly improved. Each piece of cauliflower was of the appropriate size and fried to crispy perfection. The food is good, but I don't eat much oil and found out they had switched to sunflower seed oil from canola oil. Preference for me would be olive oil or avocado oil. Anyways, they did get the whole order right. I like their onion rings, kale salad, and burgers. If you have some vegans in your friend group or family, this is a great place for vegan food. Even "non vegans" would be pleased here. I'm not vegan, and the food is great! In my opinion, you can't tell that the meat is vegan. I had the Far East Thai Chick'n Bowl, and the sesame crust around the chick'n was great! Everything in the bowl was fresh and delicious. The fries were crisp and hot. I wasn't much of a fan of the sweet potato ones though, but that could just be me. Other people in my group had the buffalo bomber, American chzburger, SoCal veggie burger, and the kimchi steak bowl. Everyone raved about their food. My critiques would be the portions could be a little bigger, a few people in my group got hungry just a few hours after eating here, including myself. Also, maybe the fries should come with the sandwiches instead of being an additional side order. The restaurant is spacious, they have tables, and some of them have booth seating on half of them. There is also couch seating and outdoor seating as well. the restaurant is very clean. You order your food at the front, and it is brought to you at your seat. Felt like eating healthy and this place looked the part so here we are. Our group ordered kimchi beef bowl, crispy cauliflower and Tejano Burrito. The beef in the kimchi bowl taste a little dry but everything else was really amazing. The only draw back was the food was actually not that healthy and the calorie count was quit high. It was my second I replied and was told about ordering online showing different tacos not on the menu. I was surprised when I was brought those three tacos for free to try. Vegan food is relatively new to me and was happily surprised at how good these tacos were. I'm very happy the additional tacos were made to try out and promise to return. I usually have no problems with my orders when I order in the daytime; however, 3 times I have ordered late evening and my orders have been wrong (no guacamole) and the manager on shift argues and says that's guacamole.
