Tried Tacomasa and ordered the Deluxe Trio con todo -- extra crispy tripa, lengua, and adobada The standout for me was definitely the tripa. Super crispy with great texture and flavor without being overly greasy. The lengua was tender, and the adobada had a nice flavor too. Overall, the tacos were solid and satisfying, but definitely on the pricey side for what you get. I've honestly had better tacos elsewhere for the same price or even less. Tacomasa is a vibe. Although it is located in a strip mall in El Segundo, upon entering I just knew this was going to be good! From start to finish the experience at Tacomasa was positive. The cashier was helpful, friendly, and efficient. We ordered an Al pastor burrito, a vampiro with lengua, and agua fresca. Food-wise Tacomasa is good for a strip mall eatery. While I didn't try the Al pastor burrito (4/5) my cousin gobbled it up and kept saying the pork is so tasty! So I think it must've been pretty tasty. I had the vampiro with lengua (3/5) and it was well made but needed some seasoning. I did pour on both salsas which elevated it a lot. It was yummy but I wish I ordered a taco. The agua fresca station was an awesome touch in my opinion. I loved it! And the agua fresca was spot on. Though I wish they refilled it more often because certain ones ran very low. I finally got to try Tacomasa! I've seen videos and read great things about their Tijuana-style tacos. It's super easy to order, whether you go online or at the counter. I went with the carne asada burrito and had to try the pastor taco. The "con todo" taco has onion, cilantro, guacamole, and salsa. The burrito was good, but I think they could have packed it in a bit more since there was a lot of tortilla in the folds. They have lots of drinks, like Pepsi and agua fresca. You can stand and eat or there are a lot of spots outside. I thought the food would be here quicker since it wasn't too busy. The service is 10/10. You are immediately welcomed with a large cheerful greeting from staff. I think the cashier was ricky and he seemed really nice and helpful especially to the person in front of us who had addition questions. I will say that i considered the portions to be generous. The pollo asado was juicy as well as the carne asada. The asada fries came with skinny fries but got cold as the cheese couldn't melt on the order. And it came with a salsa on it that I didnt enjoy. Other than the salsa i would say the fries were alright. However my favorite item in the establishment was actually the agua fresca. They gave a variety of delicious flavors. Came here as I wanted to get Mexican food before leaving California! After ordering, the food service was slow. It seemed like they were prioritizing online orders. The portion for the deluxe trio quesatacos is pretty large, I wasn't able to finish it! The taco tortillas are big and they put a lottt of meat. I didn't really like the carne asada because the pieces of meat were too big and chewy. I LOVED the chicken though! The chicken was super flavorful and juicy. And definitely a bonus that they have chicken as an option, because a lot of taco places don't. The guacamole was a little mushy and more like a spread. It had a noticeable acidic flavor, which I enjoyed. I wasn't really a fan of the side salsas (green or red) because they were both too spicy for me, but my boyfriend loved the green one. Heard a lot about this place and I finally had a chance to try it. You know this place is busy when they have a blocked pathway for orders and for exiting. The clerk was very helpful answering my questions. I ordered the adobada (pork) torta. When you give a tip, the clerk rings a bell and the entire staff yells out THANK YOU! So cute!!! Taco Masa came through for us on a night when we were absolutely starving and desperate for something good. It was one of those late night moments where you start thinking nothing delicious exists anymore and then out of nowhere you find this little spot that feels like a miracle. When we arrived the line was not too bad and we thought we got lucky, but the second we placed our order the entire place filled up like everyone in the city had decided to show up at the same time. It was almost dramatic how quickly it went from chill to packed, and honestly that alone tells you this place is worth the stop. One of my favorite parts was the soft drink and agua fresca station. It felt like a mini tasting bar where you could try every flavor if you wanted. I wanted horchata but it was not available and you could tell the staff was overwhelmed by how busy it got. They were moving fast and really trying and I appreciated that. My friend who is not Latino said the food was good which is always funny to me because that is when you know they are doing something right. The smell inside the restaurant was strong in the best way possible. You walk in and it instantly hits you and makes you even more hungry. Just a heads up if you are sensitive because it is definitely present but personally I loved it. We sat outside and it was cold because the heater did not have a gas tank at the moment. It made the whole thing feel like a dramatic taco scene in a movie. They also have standing areas with no chairs which adds to the casual feel of it all. Everything about this place feels very real and very alive. The only thing I would absolutely change next time is skipping the kiosk. It sounds convenient but it takes away from the actual experience. Order from a person. Trust me. I came here with coworkers for the first time back in May, right after my trip to Mexico. The food was delicious and tasted like I was still in Mexico! I had the lengua burrito and the lengua was so tender. The service was amazing as well with servers providing napkins, plates, utensils and salsas for you! They explained the menu and offered their recommendations. I got 3 tacos two with Pollo (chicken) and one with Carne (steak) and my husband got Carintas (pork). The meat tasted fresh nice amount of meat in each taco! And they kept it simple and authentic with just meat, onions, cilantro. No need for all the extra like lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. I added guacamole which by the way was smooth nicely flavored and full. The rice was light and flavorful. The side portion was small I would have liked more for real I was Hangry!! Outside sitting also available and with Cali weather it was perfect! They had Aqua Fresca and horchata! And many other soda options. Only recommendation would be to refresh the restrooms more often.
