Overall, I like veggie crust and plan to try it again! I can't have gluten or dairy, so finding a place to accommodate both is tough - glad we found this spot. Also glad they have regular and specialty pizza. My boyfriend ordered the margarita pizza and added chicken. There were a good amount of toppings, and the crust looked good. He pointed out that it looked like the chicken was added after the pizza was cooked, and he wished the chicken had been roasted with the pizza. My GF pizza was good. There were a fair amount of toppings although I wish there was more cheese and sauce - I did pay for extra cheese but didn't really see it. I also ordered the 10' veggie crust and ended up with the 12' crust, which did include some dairy. Hopefully next time, I can get the right crust. Overall we plan to give this place another shot! The prices were also good, not too expensive, which is a major bonus.

SO YUM! Indian style pizza chains can be hit or miss, but Veggie Crust makes their Paneer Tikka Masala pizza perfectly! The sauce was delicious and the paneer perfectly cooked. I took my pizza to-go and enjoyed eating it while on my comfortable bed and watching a show. Highly recommend! And even though it was slightly less hot by the time I got home, the pizza was still delicious- that's when you know this is good. Absolutely nothing to complain about food wise. However the wait time was a little long!

I love their Indian style pizza!! Paneer Tikka Masala is my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of their other pizzas. Dining in experience is pretty decent as well, they have a quite nice venue for a pizza place. Want to remind you that stuffs in menu other than pizza (cheese stick, garlic bread, other indian dishes) are pretty average.

This place was recommended by several people for desi style pizzas. Coming from Mississauga, I've tried amazing desi style pizza and so the bar was already set high. I decided to order the Paneer Tikka Masala pizza and the Penne Puttanesca. Let's start with the pizza, as you can see from the photo, there is barely any sauce "masala" on it. The pizza tasted more like dough with some drizzles of sauce. The paneer actually tasted very much like tofu and I'm wondering if it was actually tofu. The little bit of sauce that I did taste, actually tasted amazing. I wish they had put more of it on the pizza. The pasta was OK. Good serving size but way too many capers for my taste. If you're a fan of capers, definitely give this one a try, because the caper was the only dominant taste. Overall, I would give it even less stars, but I settle for three because the sauce did have some flavour. Please be generous with it on your pizzas!

I had the falafel pizza while visiting Boston. It was tasty and good value for money. Their menu was intriguing (basically, pizza with an Indian flair, as well as Indian dishes) and I wish I lived closer so I could try more of their meals. I've had Chicago Pizza with a Twist and this reminded me of that, only yummier. This place is obviously a family-run affair, kind of a little hole-in-the-wall that isn't big on ambience but is fine for what you get. Service was polite and efficient. Make sure to specify you want everything vegan if you are a vegan.

Dry regular pizza. Almost No sauce. Their other food may be good but, I'm dissatisfied that the regular cheese pizza ( dough, parmesan cheese and supposed to be marinara sauce)...there is almost no daisy. So dry. Maybe there are the food is good. I went in person 2 years ago, The people are very nice so I don't want to bash the business. I just want to advise, please add a good amount of sauce to your pizza. I also ordered "spicy fries" and they where regular fries with buffalo sauce. Odd. Came in a tin box with lid closed maligning them, Soggy ( maybe just a paper bag with cardboard half tray would keep them crispy) but it's delivery so what can ya do. It's way too dry. Sadly I will not order pizza again, maybe other irems..if so

Pretty solid pizza and a fun medley of Italian and Asian flavors! I really appreciate how they have veg/vegan options and all the veg on our garden veg Manchurian pizza looked super fresh (ie. Not canned or pre-cut/frozen or anything). At the same time, this is probably not my favorite Boston-area pizzeria, but it's still a great option for the area, and definitely has a unique menu/vibe!

We brought some pies up to my husband's family (who are from India) and they devoured it. the chaat was awesome (and an extremely large portion. we got 2 for 9 people and had left overs). The pakoras large and paired with delicious chutneys. their favorite pizza was the gobi Manchurian. For me, that was a bit sweet. My favorite and his cousin's favorite was the chili paneer. We left very satisfied and his cousins requested we bring it over next time again. The only thing we wish was that they served meat, but we understand the is not part of their brand!

I ordered all three crusts one night, to do a comparison. Honestly, the whole wheat and gluten free crusts are more delicious than the plain crust. Don't bother with the plain crust. This place is wonderful business, good people, wholesome food, with a fair price. As long as their prices don't increase I will be a loyal customer for a good long while. read more

These guys are really nice and they haven't messed up any orders in the handful of times I've ordered vegan pizza from them. They don't take an exceedingly long time to deliver, so in short, they're better than their (vegan) competition at times. I do wish they'd fix their website which makes it impossible to order from, so I order through yelp instead. I also wish they offered more items on their menu, like cookies or cake, like some of the competitors. Though it's not listed on yelp's menu for them, they do have vegan "nice" cream, but I tried the blueberry version and it was terrible. It was coconut based, so probably something like chocolate or vanilla would taste good, but I just chose the wrong flavor. read more

Holy yumminess. So glad to see that an actual veggie pizza place has come into the area. After Veggie Planet went bye-bye there are only so many places to check out. Not only do they offer pizza but other things like pasta as well as smoothies & coconut based ice cream. Yeah you really need to check this place out.Just don't be a big party as they do not have much space. read more

Oddly, I've only had the pizza here once as I tend to come in here on the go and just grab a panini. If you're interested in vegan (or veg) pizza, they have an extensive list of options, all of which sound great. They also have some great options for sauces (basil pesto, vegan alfredo, Curry leaf pistachio pesto, etc). In addition, they have appetizers, vegan ice cream, and fresh pressed juice. Reasonable pricing too. Definitely a welcomed addition to Somerville. read more

I never imagined I would find the best pasta dish I've ever had in my life (the creamy tomato pasta) in a vegan pizza joint owned by an Indian restaurant off Somerville Avenue. Fantastic. Can't wait to have it again. My colleague tried my leftovers at work the next day and lost her shit as well. Delicious, will be back. read more

Absolutely delicious pizza with an Indian flair! If you like pizza, or you like Indian food, or you are alive, you will absolutely love this place. The paneer tikka barbecue pizza was outstanding - one of the best and most unique pies I've ever had, and that is saying a lot. It did have some premature cheese hardening, but the flavor was so good I still enjoyed it immensely until the last bite, four slices in. The staff is lovely as well. This will absolutely become a regular haunt, and it is HIGHLY recommended! read more

Good food, good ambiance and good service! I got the roasted eggplant panini which at first seemed small but ended up being filling and delicious. The curry pesto had a unique flavor that I really liked! Their homemade bread is soft and compliments the sandwich well. I had some of my friend's paneer tikka pizza which was also unique and good but has a strong bbq sauce flavor. There's very limited seating but they try to have a fast turnaround. Vegan and vegetarian friendly place with good values! read more

Wow! This place is awesome! My boyfriend and I are vegan and this is the best vegan pizza we've ever had! We both did the create your own pizza and the vegan alfredo sauce is awesome! I am usually picky with fake meat and I enjoyed their seitan meat on the pizza. I create your own pizza gets a little expensive because it is $2 for every topping you get, but it was worth it! I wish this place was closer to home, we would be here every week. read more

Great place for delivery pizza! We ordered a paneer tikka masala pizza for delivery. There was no delivery fee and the pizza arrived within 30 minutes. The pizza itself was excellent, with a thin crisp crust and no delivery pizza sogginess. Turns out that tikka masala makes for a great flavor in a vegetarian pizza, we will be ordering from here again! read more

I have to admit that I've only ever gotten one kind of pizza here-- the fresh tomato mozzarella (basically a margherita). But I keep ordering it over and over again because it is DIVINE. The crust is amazing-- it's slightly crunchy on the outside, but doughy on the inside. Such a nice departure from so many pizza places around here that offer that dry brown cardboard-y crust that you end up leaving on your plate. The food is pricier than I'd like, but the ingredients are very fresh, so you are getting your money's worth. My friend is vegan, and loves their vegan options so much that this has become our go-to place to meet up. The nice cream is pretty good too! It's a bit icier than I'd like, and I'll always be partial to the real stuff, but they offer some neat flavors. read more

My husband and I ordered the gobi manchurian pizza and paneer tikka pizza. I thought the gobi manchurian was a little on the sweeter side but the paneer one was bomb dot com! We usually prefer our pizzas crispier, but that was a quick fix for us. Since we opt for delivery, I just preheat my oven as soon as I place my order and when the pizza arrives, I throw it in for 10 minutes to crisp it up and voila! read more

The pizza was amazing! No more going to Dominos for vegan pizza. The man at the bar even gave me tips to save on next times order. They have mix green pepper and red pepper so you don't have to order them at separate charges. Seemed slow on Sunday so maybe that's the best time to go for a quiet meal. read more

Was visiting Boston and in search of a vegan restaurant after flying in....their pizza is edible but any other restaurant that has pizza and can be ordered without cheese would have been better They use Daiya cheese...if you going to be a vegan pizza place, at least make your own cheese. If you have ever visited LA and been to some of the amazing vegan restaurants they have, you will be disappointed here. read more

This place is is a jewel. Never been here before, wasn't expecting much as pizza places often disappoint. Can't eat lactose anymore, so always looking for a delicious veggie pizza option. It's the first time i had a veggie slice with no cheese (not even vegan cheese), that was moist and maybe even better than regular pizza. No joke. The garden veggie with no cheese may be the best pizza I've ever had! And I've tried many many pizzas throughout the country- takes a lot to please this Pino's pizza-raised connoisseur :) also came with with out 4-year old- we all loved the crunch of the zucchini sticks. This place will do terrible things to my wallet! It is seriously some of the best pizza I have ever had. It's the only time I've ever eaten half of a large pizza by myself and actually felt GOOD after. Fresh ingredients, no skimping on the veggies, and flavorful but light sauce. The roasted eggplant with curry leaf pistachio pesto is out of this world. We also got the garden veggie manchurian, which had a nice spicy kick. Whole wheat crust and real cheese. I'm now on a mission to try the entire menu, including the vegan and gluten-free options! read more

This gluten-free pizza crust is phenomenal! I'm not a fan of wacky pizza toppings for the sake of being interesting, but we tried 5 different varieties and they were all excellent. The white spinach feta pizza is unbelievably tasty. All of the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Delivery was fast too! read more

95% sure all the pizza is frozen. Looks it at least. Taste is ok & quality is mediocre. Not many vegan pizza options around so take what u can get I guess. Guy who runs it is awesome tho. Great guy & very nice. read more

Honestly the best pizza this side of the Charles. Crust is crispy and chewy, flavor combos are unique but perfect, and the manchurian sauce is my new favorite flavor. The staff is also friendly and speedy. Can't recommend it enough. read more

The pizzas were great value price wise and the flavor combinations were unique but also worked well with one another. I liked how they didn't shy away from using spicy peppers on the Nduja pizza. The Fennel Sausage pizza had that fattiness from the sausage mixed with acidity from the cherry peppers and some creaminess/extra layer of flavor with the green garlic cream sauce. I somewhat wish the pizza bottom was baked slightly longer for a less floppy center but that's just personal preference. They clearly put a lot of effort into this pizza recipe. The only critique we would have is the service seemed a bit rushed. We would have enjoyed a bit more time between appetizers and the mains. Even the check came pretty shortly after we finished which would be understandable on a busy weekend night but this was a Tuesday evening and there seemed to be plenty of empty tables around us. My favorite was the Kokoro Sando, which has an omelet layered with ham, bacon and cheese. My next favorite was the Premium Katsu Sando(Pork) sandwich. Although I added some Japanese mayo to bring everything together. My next favorite would be the framing egg shokupan. I also ordered the chicken katsu sandos and karaage waffle. Those are chicken options. The fruit shokupan is a must try. I came to try that and ended up with six sandwiches. For sushi, I ordered the sushi balls, Kokoro Tamari Treats which came with three pieces sushi ball with a refreshing sweet japanese mayo dressing. I also ordered the Kokoro Bento Sushi Box which had three slices of sashimi, four piece nigiri, and a salmon maki roll and came with seaweed salad and dashi soup. The quality is excellent and this makes for a great lunch set. I recommend the Iced Uji Matcha Latte for drinks if you love matcha lattes. I highly recommend this cafe. I see myself coming back to try the other menu items as I did not get to try the ramen, donburi, and onigiri. So glad to have them so close by. We settled into the bar seating, which gives the space an intimate, counter style atmosphere, and a hand painted mural on the wall added a personal touch that sets it apart from spots that rely on imported aesthetics. The staff was warm and engaged in a way that made the whole experience feel more like a neighborhood place than a new opening still finding its footing. The kaisen don is the dish that earns the most attention and rightfully so. We ordered it and found the fish fresh, the portions generous, and the rice cooked well enough that it held its own rather than just serving as a base. Presentation across the menu is careful and deliberate, and the kaisen don in particular reflected that. The katsu sando is another strong order, with the pork katsu hitting the right balance of crispy exterior and tender meat tucked into soft bread in a way that makes it a satisfying and complete bite. We finished with the fruit sando, light and refreshing with fresh fruit and cream that did not overstay its welcome. The matcha latte is fine but leans on the milkier side, which softens the matcha flavor more than it should. For a newer spot still building its name, Kokoro is doing a lot right. We recently ordered from Veggie Crust, a vegetarian Indian fusion chain, and had a mixed experience. The nearby location had issues with their online ordering system, so we ended up ordering from a further one. By the time our food arrived, it wasn't particularly warm, which was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the pizza was quite good. You could definitely taste the Indian flair, which brought a unique twist to the flavors. I wish it had a bit more cheese, but overall, the combination worked well. The lassi, however, came in a soup container, which threw us off a bit. It didn't come with any straws, utensils, or other add-ons, making it slightly inconvenient. Overall, Veggie Crust has potential, but a few small changes could make the experience better.
