It took roughly an hour and twenty minutes for my turn. That's a little over 15 minute a car. (Mine took 18ish minutes.) Very impressive. The waiting room was clean. The bathroom was clean. Before I went to Valvoline, I already knew they'd try to sell me whatever "service or fluid" they could. It's their job and it's how they make money so I don't blame them for trying. I had printed out a coupon worth $11 and showed it to a guy in the office. He said, "Give it to the guy doing the oil change". I tried but that kid said "Give it to me AFTER the job is done". I saw another mechanic/specialist who tried to sell me something during the oil change. Nope. I just wanted a basic oil change as I plan to get rid of the car I brought in. He was ok with "our talk" and was VERY polite. Bottom line is they did all I asked them to do and were polite during my visit. I got the bill but didn't look at it until I got home. It was about $50 for your basic oil change but I didn't see anything about my $11.00 discount coupon so I drove back and entered the store and asked the first guy there if there was a problem or did I miss something since I had the coupon and bill in my hand? I noticed my car was leaking oil rapidly just after getting my oil changed. I took it back to Valvoline as soon as I noticed the leak. they told me that that area of my car was rotted out (which I knew wasn't true). I had to get my car towed to my usual mechanic, his team said that someone at Valvoline had to have punctured a hole in my oil cooler hose. There was nothing rusted or rotted out underneath my car. They even showed me the hose. My mechanic directed me to call corporate valvoline for reimbursement as this was an obvious error in his professional opinion. I called corporate only to have all communication directed to the Manager at this location. She gave me the run around. Nothing that she said made sense, she told me one thing, told my husband something completely different. Before she said something was rotted out or rusty (which isn't true), then she said they never touched that area of the cat. Ultimately, don't waste your time. When you file a claim with corporate, you're actually filing a claim with the location that damaged your vehicle in the first place and that location determines the outcome of your claim. The manager denied my claim and refused to speak with the mechanics from my usual auto shop for further clarification. Save yourself the headache. This was a dangerous and costly error. Came here for an oil change, also knowing I'd need a few other things. I came in and they had a full garage as well as ten cars in the lot but I was fine with waiting so I joined the line. Maybe an hour later I was getting serviced and leaving. I literally don't know how they did it haha. I also got new wipers as well as a new air filter, both needed. I had a coupon, combination of that and some nice employees I didn't have to pay full price for anything. Completely unreliable if you need an oil change. If you work during the day you have almost no shot of getting in before they say "sorry there's too many in line ahead of you." And if you try to plan ahead by leaving work early or taking a day off you've got a 50/50 shot of the inspection guy not being there at all. This was the worst experience I have had getting an oil change! I would recommend steering clear of this establishment. I went this morning for a standard oil change. Went well as anyone could expect. After driving down the road and getting onto the expressway I suddenly hear a loud clunk and metal dragging. I thought I was hit by another car. Pulled over in the rain on the expressway and waited for help to arrive. The sheriff came and found a large piece of metal draggi g under my car. Told me I was OK to drive off the expressway also with flashers. So I drive back to Valvoline and get into the line. It has been an hour since I left. I tell a worker my situation when he comes up to my window. He takes a look and It was some kind of skid plate that they did not secure properly after the oil change. I then waiting in line for another 45 min for them to finally get me into a bay to fix it. 2 hours later! And I am back in the road again. No one apologizes. No one acknowledged that it was their mistake. No one offered a coupon, discount, free bumper sticker -nada. No manager comes over to just check on how I was doing. I was nice to the workers and not demanding. I didn't even complain or sass because I have no idea whose fault specifically it was and didn't want to ruin someone else's day as they did my own. I went to this location at 6:10pm for an inspection. The guy told me it would be over a hour wait. He then said i could wait but it would be over a hour and advised me to come back another day. When I told him I wanted to wait he gave me an attitude and said just so you know I doubt we will get to you before close. 10 minutes later they brought me in. As I waited to be greeted I saw them turn more cars away and then bragged about how they had each other's back and they weren't staying late. I should have left but I needed the inspection. When I told him i wasn't sure where it was since I've had the car inspected before and no one else had asked, he gave me attitude. You don't have to set up an appointment or drop your car off - most of the time you can just stay right in your car during the entire process (unless they're super busy, they have you wait in the waiting room). I'd say 90% of the times I come here, I'm out within 40 minutes at the most. The staff here is polite, thorough, and they don't "push you" into buying extra services and products. We dropped off our perfectly fine, working suv and when we picked it up, the steering wheel was shaking/vibrating and the car was completely unbalanced and unsafe feeling. We brought it back right away and told them what was happening, they brushed us off and didn't fix it. During our roadtrip, we got a blowout, flat tire on the highway with our 2 small children in the car. The AAA worker said it was clear that the tire was unbalanced and the lug nuts weren't tightened properly. When we called Valvoline to explain the situation, they were not at all apologetic or helpful in making things right. Horrible automotive service and horrible customer service. The lines were extremely long that day.After waiting in the car for 15 minutes a technician comes up and says that the inspection machine is down and the person in front of me was getting 3 services so my wait would be about 45 minutes...I decided to wait but I think there should be designated lines for people who want services besides oil changes. Took my car in for an oil change only last night and when they were checking the air in my tires, i was told i had a rotten valve stem on my tire and was told it may leak air and go flat. Blade was very, very helpful - he put my spare on for me, cautioned me not to go over 45-50 (which was something i did not know) and recommended that i take it to a tire store before heading out to my job in Shortsville. Really nice place to get car serviced. They take pride to do the job right, checking for any defects in your filters and lights and anything else that's broken. Also checking the air pressure in the tires. Everything included in the price of oil change. What I appreciate especially is they wont hound you to death by upselling (which I hate). But if something is wrong they will let you know and offer fix it for reasonable price. One of my blinkers was out and they put new bulb in for $11.99. I know I could of done myself for cheaper, but they spared me the hassle. Honored my $19.99 coupon, which is the main reason I went. Staff very friendly and professional. Obviously good management as employees all act happy here. After my oil change was over, showed me dipstick with nice fresh, clean oil & left with happy feeling. Somehow they managed to miss the clutch that was so far gone it had to be replaced a week after purchase. Might have something to do with the fact that the seller was an employee.
