We have a 2022 Lexus RX 350 with just over 15,000 miles on it, and I recently took it in for a maintenance service required every 5,000 miles. The oil change was done at 10,000, and soon enough again at 20,000 miles. I questioned the 5,000 mile service because of the inconvenience of having to take it in every 5,000 miles for a "Premium Maintenance Service Preferred Plan," which was for the most part a visual inspection which in total amounted to $270.00. I questioned the service because now we have to take it back again for an oil change at 20,000 miles, which by the way is quite expensive. I asked why they couldn't do the oil change plus and Premium Maintenance Service as a combined service every 10,000 miles, instead of 5,000 and then again 5,000 miles later. The salesperson responded, "we test drive them to make sure it is in good running condition, and we didn't make the car, here are the keys if you don't want to have it done." His response tells me he got frustrated and couldn't explain why the car has to be serviced every 5,000 miles. It is a very nice car, but it is also extremely high maintenance in that who can take time off work to take a car in for service every 5,000 miles so that they can make sure it is operational and then perform oil changes every 10,000 miles later. It would be nice if both were done simultaneously at 10,000 miles, instead of having to take it in every 5,000. Due to the high maintenance, money involved in getting it checked out, and frequent inconvenience of having to take in for required services, we have since sold our car, and therefore will not be conducting any business in the future with Valley Lexus. read more

I called to schedule an appointment and was assigned to a service advisor and I'm a retuning customer the first visit wasn't the best but this time was a better experience so thought I share so I scheduled my appt and was able to drop it off the day prior and use their drop box. The service advisor and parts dept were able to help me and kept me informed of all work being done and gave me a check list and wash the car and called me promptly when finish they also were able to get me a OEM tire due to a blow out. Great service. All of the staff are extremely polite and accommodating. The dealership is beautiful, the shop is immaculate. The service was performed quickly and had a good value. Too small issues. First I needed a duplicate key and because I only had the valet key, they proposed the cost of $585. I got this done for $60 at a locksmith. Secondly, I asked him to double check the TPMS because I had a warning light. since I recently had all the sensors replaced at a tire shop, they suggested I go there. Our particular car came with a full-size spare, and the same quality wheel that the rest of the wheels are. And it was the spare that was giving the low tire pressure signal. I would like to think this is something they could've considered and taking care of in a matter of minutes instead of me having to go across town to another store, wait in line and get that taken care of there. Still, in the context of major auto maker service departments. This is a very good facility but not perfect. read more

I lost the "chip" from my Lexus key. It just fell off. I called Valley Lexus today to order a replacement key. The Lexus employee that I talked to quoted $260 for a new key. He said that if I just order the "chip," it would be $400 something. I told him that I'd rather buy a new key because it's much cheaper, then he transferred me to a lady who schedules appointments. She scheduled me for 2:15 PM today. I asked if I could pay the $260 by phone "now," because I'll be using my credit card, and my husband will be the one to pick up the key. She said, "It's ok," and I can just pay by phone when they key is ready. Now, my husband is there at Valley Lexus, and he was told he has to pay $385. What happened? ?? There's more than $100 difference!!! $125 difference to be exact!!! Lexus employees must be transparent with their customers (us) regarding the prices of their parts / service and explain to us upfront if there are additional charges. I called Valley Lexus at 2:17 PM and talked to an employee named "Rudy." I asked for the person that I talked to earlier, the one who gave me the $260 quote. He said that he asked a couple of employees, but he can't find the person who talked to me. I requested that he relays my message to the person that I talked to, so he can call me. I am expecting a call from him. As of this time (3:01 PM), I have not received a return call from Valley Lexus. At 2:13 PM, I received an automatic text message from Elena Flores that reads "Please store this number as a contact in your mobile phone as Valley Lexus . Any call or text to this number gives you direct access to me and my team for all of your service needs. Send STOP to cancel any further texts. I called Valley Lexus to check out the ES 250/350 models. I spoke with a very nice gentleman named Floyd Hill. How I wished I had seen him when I arrived at the dealership. Instead, when I first I arrived, everyone ignored us (Mr. Hill wasn't there) and then finally, someone named Kevin or Kenny begrudgingly asked us what we were looking for. I felt that there was some racism by him because I am a minority female and my boyfriend is white. Anyway, Kevin or Kenny acted very suspiciously toward us as I told him I wanted to test drive the ES 350. He said the ES 350 wasn't available for a test drive but he had an ES 250 that I could test drive. I could see him act very warily when I put my purse in the back seat. Not only did Kevin or Kenny not explain a whole lot about the features of the Lexus (since I am a Toyota Camry owner), he seemed very uncomfortable on the test drive with me. I knew then I was not going to buy anything at this Lexus dealership and we just went home. I wish Mr. Hill had been there initially, who showed up later and stated that I should have asked for him. In fact; I was absolutely satisfied. Owners need to understand the concept of "diminished returns". My 2007 self-parking $120k+ vehicle will still best most vehicles on the road today. It currently rides smoother than any vehicle I have ever driven...even with bad rubber suspension rings & things. I get offers on my vehicle every day. However; there is no mentally sound justification for spending $14,000+ on repairs for a 2007 Lexus loaded with old tech and having 234,000 miles on it? Note: Almost bought a newer Lexus...but Lexus is into screens and plastic. Minimalist style leaves the buyer feeling like we are paying more for less.(IMO). I like buttons...lots of buttons...and craftsmanship. Texture. Fine wood. So, ran out that day and bought an 4.O Twin Turbo Audi A8 L. So much fun!!! BEWARE... My wife and I purchase a 2022 Lexus 450 Hybrid. Waited 2 months for this fine vehicle. We had time to discuss exactly what we wanted. Vehicle gets here, sales process was great until we reached the Finance Department. Came across a Finance Manager name Adrian Perez. Mr Perez knew of me being in the auto industry. During the finance process, the warranty came up in subject, I told Mr Perez during my wife and I conversation, we were not going to purchase an extended warranty. Instantly the Professionalism left the room... Mr. Pérez began to stare at my wife to override the decision she and I made at home. No big deal, as we finished the paperwork, I went to the parts department to buy coffee cups and accessories, my wife stayed back and waited for me. Another finance officer entered Mr Perez office as we stepped out, not knowing my wife was in the same area. Mr. Pérez says to the other finance guy...I quote " This fucking guy is stupid as phuck, what a dumb ass for not purchasing a warranty. My wife said Mr. Perez, you can at least wait for your clients to leave before you speak crap about them. He immediately said Mrs White I'm sorry you heard that. What a shame!!! Unfortunately I wasn't gonna allow Adrian Perez to steal my wife's Christmas. Management was there, heard my frustration. Blah blah, blah, the Lexus experience was ruined.. I have been an auto fanatic for years and have owned many vehicles including two previous Lexus. I went to this dealership on Saturday to check out the GS Model Lexus as well as the RC350 Models. Met with the sales person Grady Nakano who was rather arrogant. He wanted to let me know he had been a professional chef & pastor and was so terribly honest. 1st car I test drove which was considered "Certified 160 Point Inspection" the air conditioning would NOT WORK. Brady brushed it off saying oh I will get that checked. I test drove another "Certified 160 Point Inspection" and it was badly damaged with scratches on the exterior of the vehicle as well as damage to the interior panel by the clock and radio. Mind you these vehicles are not cheap. Grady's excuse oh can't guarantee we can fix these things. They are used. During this entire time he did not offer me use of the facilities nor even a bottle of water. Not very welcoming for a high end dealership! The next vehicle I test drove a "Certified 160 Point Inspection RC350" the car had brake issues! Brady's excuse in front of his GM Mack whom we also met "oh did you slam on your brakes or something?" Mind you we had passengers in the vehicle and their safety and ours are the most important! Also this certified vehicle also had illegal blackout windows all around the vehicle. Brady tells us Valley Lexus also owns the Oakland Lexus entirely UNTRUE. He says in front of his GM Mac that he would follow up with us during the week. It's been 10 days and no calls. Sales: 5/5 I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to our salesperson Kevin Schinmann. We were looking for a 2022 Lexus NX and was able to secure one with the help of our fantastic salesman. The vehicle was originally reserved for another buyer who declined the purchase the day it arrived. Kevin contacted me right away and we were able to set up an appointment the following day to purchase the vehicle. Finance: 1/5 The primary reason I gave this dealer a 1/5 was due to the financing department. We originally were pre-approved by our local credit union for a fairly low rate and opted to go with Lexus as their rates were comparable. The finance manager, Chris Reitzel, handled all of our paperwork electronically and seemed like a fair person throughout the entire process. We opted to decline all service agreements and signed off on it. However, the process was briefly interrupted as the computer that handled the electronic paperwork "stopped working". Chris then printed out the same documents and had us re-sign as some items did not save. He jokingly instructed us to give him a call if we had any questions before we "blast" him on Yelp (his exact words). We finished the paperwork and drove home with our new vehicle. We soon found out that we had actually signed off on a $5,000 service agreement package when we signed the hard copies because their computer "stopped working" and gave Chris a call and an email to have it cancelled. Chris indicated that he would have his clerk file it and send it in to Lexus Financial Services that following Monday to have it cancelled as requested. Email communication went back and forth and Chris suddenly stopped responding a couple of weeks later when I asked for an update on the status. Multiple emails were sent for a follow-up and received no response. It seemed that Chris had no interest in helping us any further. We waited for over a month since our last communication with Chris in hopes that he would cancel the service agreement before pulling the trigger and calling Lexus Financial Services and cancelling the service agreement ourselves. I take 100% of the responsibility as I did not review all of the paperwork once more even after I signed off electronically and indicated verbally multiple times that I did not want to purchase any additional service agreements. I was very disappointed with Chris' dishonest work ethic when he knowingly had us sign off on the agreement and ceased all communication afterwards. read more
