I had a great experience visiting Vacheron Constantin at South Coast Plaza. I was greeted by Dorothy, who was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. She asked what I was looking for, offered me some water, and showed me several watches they had available for me to try on. I asked if she could put me on the waitlist for 222, and she took care of it right away. Dorothy provided excellent hospitality and made me feel very comfortable throughout my visit. I had a deeply disappointing experience at this boutique today (July 3rd afternoon) that single handedly ruined the brand for me. I walked in wearing my Omega Seamaster, looking to try on a few Overseas models. A Chinese sales lady came over to greet me. Because of my smaller wrist size, she also suggested the 34mm. When I asked if that specific reference carried the Geneva Seal, she said yes. It made me realize she was either blatantly lying just to make a sale, or she completely lacks basic knowledge of the Vacheron catalog. Throughout the entire process, she didn't highlight a single complication detail. Instead, she treated me with a bizarre, condescending attitude, bringing up the price of every single watch before I even asked. She repeatedly emphasized the costs as if she assumed I couldn't afford them. At one point, she even condescendingly remarked that these watches "aren't expensive" and bragged that she has sold million dollar pieces before. I'm not sure why her sales history matters to my experience, but her attitude was incredibly classless. The real kicker happened when my buddy walked over and sat down with us. He happened to be wearing a Nautilus. Suddenly, she was offering us the 222 in full gold to try on... and funny enough, she didn't mention the price to him once. When we were leaving, I asked for her business card. She literally refused to give it to me and just said to "come back when I decide." It is embarrassing that a prestigious brand like Vacheron Constantin allows someone with such a cheap, elitist, and judgmental attitude to represent them. read more

I walked into this store wearing a second generation chronograph overseas I recently purchased. My plan was to open a profile at VC, register my watch, and put my name down for a 222. The reception I got from the VC rep working there on August 15, 2026 was rude, curt, cold, and deceptive. She told me I couldn't register my watch there. As to putting my name down for a 222, she tried to dissuade me from doing so by saying it would take 6 years. I said no problem. As she proceeded to take down my info, she shoved her phone in my direction and asked me to type my own info because I had a long last name. 30 seconds later, she tells me I'm all set. I was confused because she didn't even ask which 222 I wanted. She said it doesn't matter. That makes no sense. She was just giving me the run around and falsely telling me I was officially in line for a 222. I later confirmed that she didn't actually put my name down. In short, she lied. Suffice to say, I've yet to receive a text or email from VC confirming I've put my name down for anything. I also asked her if there was a 222 in store I could view. She said no. That, too, was a lie. I called the store the next day and they said they had a 222 in store. I walked into the VC with a VC and was treated poorly. I can't imagine how this sales lady treats other people who might be unfamiliar with the brand. WTH. read more

strolling around south coast plaza and noticing a vacheron constantin authorized dealer with a well stocked display...have been interested in an overseas, but other dealers in san francisco never seem to have one on display, or no interest in selling or showing one...vacheron constantin located in south coast plaza was different in a pleasant way...walked in and requested if an overseas on display was available to try on...one staff casually pointed to another staff to talk to...the gentleman was quite professional and polite...sat me down and offered a drink...took the time to talk about watches i was interested in...looking for a simpler overseas with just the date complication...he walked to the back room to bring out exactly what i was wanting to try on...we discussed different options...blue dials commanding a longer wait and black dials or gold being available sooner...card was presented for questions and to contact if interested...the entire interaction was excellent and ideal... read more

I came into the store specifically to find out more information on my overseas watch that I bought from a second party. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Thao by a very nice security person. I had a number of questions concerning the functions of my new watch, which again had not been purchased through this store and Thao was very helpful. Through our conversations she did inform me that there was an ability to switch out the band with different colored ones. After trying to show me numerous times how to switch it out myself I became very frustrated because I couldn't do it. I returned to their store two more times and got instructions from Thao again on how to switch it out so basically she schooled me in a clinic on how to switch out my band. I was so very grateful for this. In those times Thao was very gracious and patient in showing me how to do this. I am so grateful for her, I've now got a new band from my beautiful overseas dual time zone watch. read more

Went in for a service to get battery change for my wife's overseas Vacheron and get her to learn how to change the straps .... Met with Dorothy the advisor who was cold in her greeting to begin with.. Dorothy was extremely rude / impatient/ cold in showing us how to change the straps... She told us tht they will take 6 weeks to make a simple battery change for my wife's watch ....Shocking for a brand this prestigious to expect clients to wait 6 weeks for a battery change tht a local jeweler does it while you wait!! Requested to be put on the list for an overseas blue dial watch, for 40th birthday. Texted them 4 months to follow up, stating that I'm still on the list. It's been 1.5 year later, nothing still. Really don't have the time to "check in" with the store for the AD experience. Tried going through the brand's online service as well two years prior. Vacheron Constantin is one of the watch brands that is regaled as amongst the holy trinity of Swiss watch makers with the oldest continuous watch making history in the world. They also hold the title for the most complications ever created in a timepiece. So, my wife and I feel very honored to have been able to receive two of their flagship works of art in a timely manner. I'd like to thank Syngen for being a wonderful and gracious SA and getting my wife and I our early 20th anniversary gift to each other. Stunning, gorgeous, lovely pieces the overseas in pink gold with blue dial! I have to sincerely say that the Maisons of Vacheron has some of the most gracious and professional associates in the timepiece industry. Far, far better than Rolex. In which I've bought several over the years, but I've grown so tired of the games they play with their customers and their arrogance. It's truly not worth the grief. But I digress. I had the pleasure of meeting with the boutique manager, Brad today, who put on an absolute clinic for me. I thought I knew a little bit about watches before I met this guy. If you're a watch guy... or girl, you know that in the last couple of years watch shopping has become a whole different thing. Gone are the days of walking into your local AD, trying on a few watches, picking the one you love, paying for it and leaving with it. Now it's considered a win if your name lands on a wait list. A lot of the manufacturers in the top-tier, including this one, won't even take a deposit at this point. Crazy times. You wouldn't know that though by spending time here. Brad must've patiently showed me at least four... maybe five watches, explaining the price, features and benefits of each watch. Very cool energy in the place, it was like two old friends talking. Did I leave with my dream watch today? I did not. Did I learn a lot, look at some beautiful watches and get one step closer to finally owning one of these masterpieces? Absolutely.
