You'll more than likely need to remove the aftermarket piece before they'll start the work. My BF had been looking to get a new watch for a while and he settled on a specific Tudor that he wanted. However all the places he checked did not have the model/color combination he wanted and they didn't know when they would get them. We were told they could be backordered for months. When we came here, Ricardo was able to help us order it and have it arrive in store for pickup the next week. We put a deposit down, then came the next week as promised to pick it up. He was polite, informative, and friendly plus most importantly he was able to deliver like he promised. A couple of the other salesmen there didn't want to give us the time of day when we came to pick up the watch, but Ricardo was on point. We were also able to go right up to the service store and get the watch fitted, and the folks in the service store were friendly and quick. read more

Awesome people! We came in to the Tourneau showroom on the second floor of the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa to resize and change battery on my wife's Carl F. Bucherer Alacria Princess watch. The lady (forgot to ask her name) respectfully and delightfully directed us to the Tourneau Service Department on the third floor. Viry was amazing! She's friendly, courteous and professional. Very knowledgeable. They did it fast and so meticulous. She said 30 minutes.. and we got it in 30 minutes. My guess it depends on their workload. I still would've waited longer if needed. Especially rolex and ferrari which I believe are the most similar in terms of perceived difficulty to purchase the desirable models new, be noticed or helped when visiting a dealer, etc. having worked at a ferrari dealer and seen hundreds of interactions over my 14 year (so far) career, it is safe to say that I know how brutal it can be to find a good dealer or person within a dealer to work with. Surreal. In contrast to the positive experiences I had at the four watch boutiques I visited at South Coast Plaza the same day, here, no one spoke to me; they just stared. One guy (security, I guess?) was standing silently and staring, even glaring; at me; the other was cleaning watches with a cloth and talking on a cell phone and oblivious to my presence, even though he came within ten feet of me. This continued for several minutes, even after the employee cleaning the watches ended his call. Literally no one else was in the store, and the two store employees said nothing the whole time, even though they could see I was looking at the case of watches. I should add I was dressed more formally than I normally would, just in case, precisely to avoid this potential type of interaction (so much for that). It was one of the strangest experiences I've ever had at any retail store. Perhaps this interaction was an outlier, and maybe they've replaced these employees (this occurred about 10 months ago), but if not, this place does not deserve anyone's business. Saw a beautiful blue Bucherer in the window and decided to take a closer look at it. Walked in and my party was the only group in the store with 3 sales associates sitting around. Nobody offered to help, stood up, greeted us, or acknowledged our entry. I made eye contact with one person several times hoping for help, but nothing. Finally, after it became awkward, he nodded to his coworker who begrudgingly stood up and started over to greet us. By that point, my other half was irritated enough that we just left. Edit: Received a call today that they are replacing the pin no charge and it will be ready Monday at the latest. Moved it from 1 to 2 stars. Oof, prepare for a wall of text. I was very happy with the purchase and ownership of the watch I bought here. I would drop it off every few months for a quick clean when we were at dinner or shopping at Nordstrom. Then a pin fell out of the bracelet, and I thought I would drop it off and have them replace it. Tiny pin. Not manufacturer specific and should bean easy fix. Wrong. Sat down to a nice, but insistent person who let me know it had to be sent back to New York and they would look through it and let me know what repairs were necessary and which were optional. "Uh, I just want the pin replaced" It was then reiterated that it had to go to New York and they would see what needed to be serviced. Wow, the crystal is chipped, you are going to need to replace that. Fine. I could have just dropped it off at literally ANY jeweler, and they would have put a new pin in and sent me (happily) on my way. Fast forward to today. Get an email with an estimate. $1400. Required work. Hmm. I was happy with it, it kept good time...all the sudden it needs a major overhaul. Oddly, the crystal was not part of the estimate. I called the toll free number and said I just wanted the pin replaced. "We will have the service center call you back" Um, ok. Get a call about 1.5 hours later (not bad) and I get the same song and dance about how it needs a full service. Nah, just fix the pin and give it back to me. More pressure about how it needs to have a full service. back and forth for about another 5 mnutes and it was now a clear waste of time. Fix the pin and give it back to me. "ok I'll try to get it back for you Friday" Polite thank you and goodbye. Problem solved, right? WRONG AGAIN. Received an email a few seconds later "At your request, the repair estimate for your ROLEX timepiece has been cancelled and your watch will be returned, unrepaired, in the same condition in which we received it." Unrepaired? I CLEARLY stated I wanted the pin replaced, three times at the location, and three MORE times on the phone. I wasn't vague. What should have been a short, pleasant experience with a customer who chose to be loyal to the store completely turned me off. I will not shop here again. For reference, here is the repair order: Repair #065-0108483-C It's not difficult people: be nice, fix the problem your customer has, then talk about what comes next. So, so disappointed. read more

Really, really frustrating and unprofessional. My husband called ahead to confirm their hours in light of the covid chaos and lack of accuracy of hours on any online platforms. He called and spoke to a male employee who specifically stated the hours being 11-6pm on Saturday and 12-6pm on Sunday. So we arrive at 3:12pm to see they are closed between 2-4pm?!!??!!!! What the heck. Why didn't the employee specify that when providing their current hours to my husband while they were on the phone?! Seriously not OK. Michael is a rolex genius. My uncle had a 1960 vintage rolex that wouldn't change the date with the pull knob. Michael knew the history of rolex and said this rolex wasnt broken. So much care is placed for their high-end watches, the retail store has a jeweler on staff just in case a customer brings in one of these high-end watch for repair. The Tourneau jewelry watch repair service is four dollars higher than Jostmar located in the same mall, but Jostmar doesn't sell the high-end watches. Oh . . . BTW-I hope you know I mentioned before that I purchased my Invicta 1000 meter dive watch for $99.00 at ShopNBC, right? Well, Tourneau was selling the same watch for $700.00. Apples and oranges . . . Still, FYI-you pay ultra, high-end retail prices for the square footage rent for the business location. Please do your research before purchasing at any retail store. read more

I went to South Coast Plaza with one agenda in mind: to replace the battery of my Cartier Roadster purchased from Tourneau, Costa Mesa. However, their antiquated system do not have my Cartier Roadster on file but they do have my Rolex and Omega watches listed. A young Customer Service girl looked at my watch in disdain - like I was trying a scam to get a free battery. She could not find the Cartier after an effortless search by name and telephone. Ok, power tripping youngster spotted. I can sense her satisfaction that my Cartier was not found. She now has the power to decline me the service. I was told to come back and show proof of purchase of the Cartier - no consideration shown despite my 2 other watches in their system. I then went downstairs to talk to a manager. I told her I can email my proof of purchase when I get home. She said she will give me this one time courtesy and replace my battery. Had I been scamming, would I even have the nerve to insist on a free battery? Sigh of relief!! Ok, the manager troubleshot the situation. For the 2nd time, I then went upstairs to their service area, which is in a separate floor from their store. Now I am told the repairman left for lunch right after I was there and my watch won't be ready until 5:30 pm, 2hrs after. What the? Really? I was frustrated at this point - it was a Friday afternoon, I wanted to beat the traffic and get home for the Dodgers game!! The wait time was NOT optional. My gripe: In the first place, from the moment I arrived (in the 3rd floor service area ), had I been given the option to email the proof of purchase or had I been asked to write a check that they can tear up once I emailed them a copy of purchase; I might have been the satisfied and happiest client. But no, to get serviced, I have to return, which means - deal with driving/traffic, recite my case again and of course, bring along my proof of purchase! And no need for this epic rant had I been given the benefit of a doubt! Why am I insistent with this battery? Lifetime replacement on batteries was promised to me when I purchased my Cartier Roadster from Tourneau. Part of the salespitch. By the way, what if my proof of purchase is lost/missing? Such as the recent tragedies - Anaheim Hills or Sonoma County fires, or Florida/Puerto Rico Hurricanes, etc - where homes were wiped out? Would my battery replacement NOT be honored? Will I end up changing batteries for $10 at a kiosk? What kind of proof will I show? Will my picture be posted in the employee lounge tagged: Warning - Ultimate Con Artist; same as the bad check writers at Asian supermarkets? What if, Management? Thank goodness I have good recordkeeping!!! Receipt show same name, address. My credit card imprint also largely show in the receipt. Tourneau NO more. TorNO NO more. Tourn-Off. Learn customer service from successful companies - Create policies that work. Make forefront service employees think and deal correctly with situations. Problem solving is a dying skill. Do not create policies that ends with a "NO" - where clients leave your place with a negative mindset. Did I really have to go downstairs and discuss my frustration to a manager before getting a 'GO Ahead?' There are other watch stores inside the mall - Cartier, Rolex, IWC; to name a few. Make me want to buy from you again. I bet sales competition is already tough. Tourneau should be better or the best in customer servicing if you want to compete with other watchmakers beside your store, literally nearby. If you see that I was a customer - with Rolex and Omega in your system, assume correctly that I am not there to scam you a battery. This was how I felt - a scheming scammer, asking for my "supposedly lifetime replacement battery". I was not even offered to seat down. I was probably even begging to be serviced! I could not wait to get home and dig up the receipt. I could not even enjoy what was left of my afternoon at SCP. The burden to prove that I am a real Tourneau Cartier Roadster client was depressing and frustrating that Friday afternoon of 10/27/17. To end this review, if someone wants a free battery but show no history in your system, then maybe you can give them a harder time. read more

RIP OFF!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM TOURNEAU!!!!! About 6 months ago, I went into Tourneau in response to one of their advertised "Buying Pre-Owned Watches" event. The email Tourneau sent out stated that they pay top dollar for pre-owned watches. As a result, I decided to bring my watch in to see how much they would offer. Since I have a Rolex Submariner watch, which was in excellent condition (no scratches, blemishes etc) I was curious to see what their evaluation of the watch would be. The watch had recently been serviced and cleaned by Rolex in Beverly Hills and I had all of the paperwork from Rolex still in the box. To my surprise, Tourneau offered me $4000 for the watch! The sales representative told me that this was a fair price, however, since I new I could sell it for a lot more through private party I declined their offer. Here's where things get interesting. Tourneau sends out emails daily to those of who are on their mailing list. I was browsing through their website and located the exact same Rolex Submariner I had bought in about 6 months ago. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THAT WAS IT WAS LISTED AT A WHOPPING $12,000!!!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. Now I totally understand that they're in the business of making money. BUT 300% MARK UP!!! I decided to call and spoke to a female service representative and explained to her what I had previously written. She told me that Tourneau has set prices of what they can buy watches for AND that they're selling prices are non-negotiable! I asked the sales representative if she thought it was appropriate to tell me 6 months ago that my watch was only worth $4000 but sell the exact same item for $12,000! She offered no response other than saying "it is what it is"! So my point is DO NOT BUY FROM TOURNEAU!!!!!Not only are the new watch prices ridiculous, their pre-owned watches are even worse. I can only imagine, how many people have been taken advantage of by Tourneau (or more appropriately RIPPED OFF) only to have the same item sold at an extremely high mark up. Obviously they have the right to sell any item for what they believe they can get for it but to lowball customers and tell them this is all their watches is worth and then sell them at a 300% profit IS JUST WRONG!!!!! A Relative gave me her watch and I didn't know much about it, other than the name it had on the face "Audemars Piguet". It was hard to read the face for me so I took it in to this store for a quote. They told me that the watch was "old" and not sold anymore. They offered $2,000.00 dollars and said that's really what it was worth "generously". I signed the papers they gave me and they gave me a check. My own fault for not knowing what I had, but later on I found out the same EXACT Watch sold pre-owned for $75,000....Yes, $75 THOUSAND DOLLARS! These people at this store are dishonest, have zero integrity or class. They literally ripped me off and likely grinned with joy when I walked out with a $2,000 check. Criminals in my opinion. Not professional, and definitely shady. Do your own research. And I strongly discourage any Orange County Locals to buy or sell with these people.
