Went into the Boutique twice this weekend, once on Saturday by myself and once with my wife on Sunday. Armen helped me originally and he was great down to earth really personable and can tell he enjoyed what he did. He showed me around and allowed me to try on the GMT Master II (Bruce Wayne) an we talked about it a bit and I wanted to be placed on the list to acquire it. He helped me with this and then passed me onto Juan who also did a excellent job showing me the piece and even talking about the Sub that he wore and why he chose it. I did get to try on the Sub as well and got to talk to him about that too. Sunday I went back with my wife to show her the pieces I had liked and got to work with Juan again. Juan was great again and helped me try on the Bruce Wayne again to show my wife and then the Sub Date as well. I hope to hear back soon so I can purchase what I have been placed on the list for. Extremely Disappointing Customer Service I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Rolex Costa Mesa has been frustrating enough that I feel it needs to be shared. Communication and customer service have been virtually nonexistent. Calls go unanswered, voicemails are not returned, and I was never informed that an appointment was recommended or necessary. As a result, I showed up in person and waited in line for more than 25 minutes. The only communication I received was a confirmation from customer service that my Rolex registration had been received. Customer service specifically advised me to contact Juan Moreno for additional information regarding my registration and the process moving forward. I emailed Juan three separate times and received no response whatsoever. After getting nowhere, I escalated my concerns to Assistant Director Eunice Areas, hoping someone in management would at least acknowledge the situation. Unfortunately, I have not received a response from her either. What makes this especially disappointing is that this is supposed to be a luxury purchasing experience. I understand that Rolex watches are in high demand and that no one can guarantee availability or a specific timeline. My frustration isn't about having to wait for a watch. It's about the complete lack of basic communication and follow-through. Looking through other Yelp reviews for the Costa Mesa and San Diego locations, I noticed other customers describing similar communication and service frustrations. It seems that leaving a negative public review may be one of the few ways to actually get someone's attention. I don't expect special treatment. I do expect phone calls and voicemails to be returned, emails to be acknowledged, and customers to be given basic information about how the process works. For a business representing a prestigious luxury brand, this level of customer service has been extremely disappointing and far below what I expected. Pretty poor experience overall. Because of work, I've been in OC quite often and was hoping to start a relationship with a SA at this boutqiue since I have two good friends that do come here. Had hoped to register interest in watches for my wife and my dad, but it seems without an appointment, the SA was not interested in assisting. Once my friend and I walked in, we started checking out the exhibition pieces and while there, no one assisted us, and when I did try to talk to a SA that was there, received such a dismissive attitude. Eventually just handed me a iPad to register on the website. Filled it out, and wanted to ask him for his name, but then once he took it back, proceeded to walk away. Every single time we visit, not a single drink was offered nor were people there welcoming. They told me to study the watches online and comeback. I had a watch in mind but I needed to see some colors in person to decide. They are not eager to help and have the typical snobby sales. It's not the boutique youd want to visit to explore pieces. I've heard some places make small talks with you and that's actually some kind of an interview to see if they'd want to offer you a watch or not, but I'm not comfortable with sharing what I do so I guess I wont be offered any. Let's see how long the callback will take or if it will happen at all. By the way, if this boutique is all you have, make sure to visit couple of times before registering with a specific SA because once you register with one, you'll have to work with em until the end. read more

I mentioned I was interested in a watch to celebrate the soon to be birth of my first son. The SA lady didn't seem at all interested and almost like I was wasting her time. Never did she offer to let me try on any of the watches, even though I expressed interest in some of their "exhibition" pieces. Came in for a warranty issue on 18238 day date. Just brought the head as it was serviced less than a year ago from Rolex. The person that was taking care of me seemed like she didn't want to deal with me.. handed her the card so she can verify that it is still under warranty but the first question she asked me was where is the bracelet. Do you have any documentation of paying for the services? Etc etc..I honestly think she was thinking that this is a stolen watch and just judged me and was pushing me to go back to the AD I got service from originally. Never had a bad experience at any Rolex including this AD when talking to sales associates but the service dept left a bad taste in my mouth. I have had a few different visits to this Rolex boutique at the South Coast Plaza. I myself do not shop much and I certainly don't go to the mall and places like South Coast, which retails high end luxury goods. However, I recently had a couple of different reasons to visit the Rolex Boutique. I bought my wife a DateJust and had it sized here. They did it promptly and carefully and provided excellent service. Then I came to have my datejust repaired as a pin/spring fell out and had to also purchase a replacement link. They serviced me at cost for a mere $112. They serve coffee and water and always provide excellent service. The one gripe I have is that I had to buy my Rolex elsewhere through an independent dealer because they did not get back to me about the watch I wanted in a timely manner. I realize this is how it goes when purchasing a Rolex but the watch I wanted was a datejust. It's kind of a boring not too special version of the brand. Anyway, overall great service. read more

Agree to one of the reviews on how they don't message you back. When you visit the boutique and the sales there know that you were helped or waitlisted by another salesperson, they will treat you like some extra work they need to complete with no compensation. How am i supposed to know whether the sales I had previously is working when i dont get any replies? Never was offered anything during all my visits and they will say nothing more than "choose the combination you want and come back to be waitlisted." He made us feel important and allowed us to truly experience and try on the watches that suited us. Since we are first-time buyers, he also suggested models that were appropriate for our age. I was escorted to a private room where he showed me the watches I requested. I was able to try them on to see how they looked on my wrist. He also brought me a watch that wasn't on my radar. I ended up purchasing the watch he suggested, because it fit be better that some of the smaller watches. Update: Well Rolex Bucherer does not disappoint. At being disappointing. We were invited by the Bucherer Customer Service Manager to talk about our experience and boy was that some of the worst interactions I'd ever experience with what was supposed to be top customer service person at the store. If you think the sales people are bad you should have a sit down with the Manager. He was half assed in his apologies and took more of a defensive role in making excuses to why our encounter was so bad. Instead of listening he just spouted excuses one after another. Oh our guards are contracted, oh this particular sales rep is not good with technology, oh we had corporate training, etc. As a customer I really don't care about excuses, he could of just said thank you for your feed back and I'll have a talk with my staff. Must be wondering why I even bothered going back? Well I have no problem speaking to people in person at their invitation, his response email was exactly the tone he spoke to us in. I just wanted to hear him out and it went exactly as I expected, passive aggressive attitude and him speaking as we were underneath him. Just for kicks we asked him to reconfigure the watch to what we wanted. He did it on his ipad and asked if we wanted to change sales persons? He said that most of his sales people were already working with clients and see who would be willing to take us on (did you catch that?). Most reps already have clients they remember so if you're one of the unmemorable ones guess you go into the imaginary waitlist for however long. Out of all the reps that were standing there no one was willing to take us on as customers except the new guy. He was nice and asked us what configurations we wanted (again). I would've thought the manager would have relayed it to him now I'm 100% convinced that they aren't serious in helping us get a watch. Surely if you piss off the manager you aren't getting a watch from this store. Don't care, they need us more than we need them, there are hundreds of other authorized dealers all around. We tried on watches anyways and when I sat there looking at this Rolex on my wrist, I thought of all the bullshit I had to go through, I realized it was just a watch. The shine of Rolex disappeared and it was just a chunk of metal on my wrist that wasn't even exciting anymore. As someone stated in their post a Timex or Casio does the same job if not better. At the price point you are paying for these watches you should be receiving phenomenal customer service. Which I'm willing to pay for as it SHOULD be part of the whole luxury watch experience. Instead you are met with sales people who think of you as their lowers, get shoved in the "you might get one list". One thing for sure is I will NEVER set foot or purchase from this store ever. I don't care if you call me tomorrow and say you have my watch in stock. I refuse to pay one cent towards any of these peoples salary. read more

This place is hit and miss, with misses happening more than hits. If you want to be judged and looked down on, do come here. I was on the waitlist for a certain watch for three years and they finally found the watch I was looking for after walking in and complaining. I had to wait. I was also on a waitlist for another watch over three years and never found it. By chance I went to a sister store up north where they had what I was looking for. They never have inventory and always tell you to put your name on a waitlist, but they never call you back. I think it's time to move on and buy a Casio or a Timex as my Rolex's that I want now may never come in; especially with this place. Go anywhere else just don't visit the store and if you do, you've been warned, expect a horrible experience. Customer service was abysmal. First the rent a cop at the door practically body blocked us before getting the 'nod' to let us in. The woman helping us felt like she was doing us a favor by gracing us with her presence. I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable and wholly judged. She slightly thawed when I had a working knowledge of the watches we were looking at. I shouldn't have to be decked out in designer jewels and handbags for gracious service. None of the watches are even available for purchase but you can get on a wait list. There's no timeline just when they 'become available'. What a joke this place is first we called at 7 o'clock to see what time they were open till we were told 9:00. So we finish our dinner down the street in Newport Beach and headed over in about 830. When we showed up, they wouldn't let us in because they said we needed an appointment. One would think that would be a good information when we called at seven and asked how late they were open. They begrudgingly let us in the store but told us they didn't actually have any watches there for sale, But we could put in a request for one, The sales guy that was on duty was like a used car salesman and tried to put my wife in a watch that was way too big for her wrist. You would think when someone has $25,000 to spend at a store that they would be more accommodating, but I guess not! There's way too many places to buy a Rolex from in Orange County. Since I was picking up something at South Coast Plaza and I hadn't been here since December, I decided to stop by and see if Tian was working (see my previous review). Unfortunately, she wasn't. But a nice lady by the name of Cristina approached me right away. I told her that Tian put me on their "client list" for a Submariner. Right away she asked me if I wanted to try it on again, so why not. But, I knew because of their business model (changed i think around 2020) they weren't going to sell it to me, so this will probably the last time I come in here unless they call me. The way Rolex sells their watches now (especially the high demand ones) is similar to the way Hermes bags and Super Bowl tickets are sold. The Rolex store itself is allocated VERY few watches to sell, so its very highly unlikely you'll be able to buy a watch at the store itself especially at face value. What Rolex did, is they sold their watches to Authorized Dealers (probably at a high markup) and in turn, the Authorized Dealers turns around sell them to consumers at an even higher markup. For example, the Submariner with the date is $10,500 at the Rolex boutique store but they never have any on site to sell. BUT, you can go to an Authorized Dealer and if they have it, it will go for anywhere from $13,500 to $15,000 (I've seen), which in no way I will pay that. So, if you're in the market for a Rolex, you can try the store itself first (might be a waste of time) and put your name on the "client list" but if you want it faster, you'll most likely have to go through an AD and pay a lot more.
