I have been going to V's pizza for 10 years! It was always a great experience until now. I have never been to the Flask & Cannon location but my friend would drive 30 minutes. She always said it was more kid friendly than the Mandarin location. So we went. I have never been so disappointed & disrespected by the level of service than at this location. We have never been so we were unaware that this location was similar to the downtown Jacksonville location. 1) We came in and we were not greeted. 2) No one explained to us that we would need to go to the left side of the establishment for full service/full bar. We ordered our food and were given a number just like the downtown Jacksonville location. We sat outside so we can watch our little one play, but apparently we chose the wrong side of the outdoor eating area. (No barrier to distinguish between the 2 sides) We were told we could NOT eat there. The server explained that this is for full service only. I wanted to order more as we were hungry. I thought, perfect. I can order an appetizer, a cocktail, and get my son some gelato while we waited. Again, we were told we can't eat here OR order food OR sit here. Mind you, out of all the 15 tables (both sides) only 2 were occupied. We were told, "You can't sit there either. (NO SIGNAGE TO DISTINGUISH THE 2 SIDES!) AND NO YOU CANNOT ORDER FOOD. You have to sit over there." Then the server asked, "Is that ok? (With an attitude). I informed the server, "NO. IT'S NOT OK." She didn't say anymore as we moved several tables over to the "designated area". This was our first time at this location & it will be our last! There was no apology or explanation that we need to go back inside to the front of the restaurant. None. We had no idea we entered the quick order side (there's tables on both sides.) I went inside & asked to speak to a manager. He explained that there's a hostess on the other side of the restaurant, (apparently there's more than one entrance). He said that someone should have explained it to us & said he would speak to the server. That was it. Nothing else. He tried to seat us in the full service but it was too late. I was so mad at driving 30 minutes after work, (I was still in my scrubs) to get treated that way that. I packed up my family of 3 & left. I am still so angry at the level of service I received. It was a huge disappointment. I hope that the Durbin Park location (once built) will have the level of service we are accustomed to receiving. read more

We had a much better experience at the Ponte Vedra location. The space itself is beautiful and we had a table outdoors. Our server was young and not around much. She didn't come around for drink refills often or check on us often. Some of the party loved the food and some of us were not impressed. My pizza was ok; not worth the $22 price point. My brother got a pizza that ended up soggy and all the toppings kept sliding off. We had fun but I would go somewhere else next time. read more

We were in the area and stopped in for some pizza and beer/wine for dinner. The place was hopping on a Saturday! Kids birthday parties outside, kids running all around inside. I guess the far left side is supposed to be more "adult" seating and it seemed to be when we first arrived. Mid-meal it got so loud that I was ready to go. We ordered 3 different pizzas (Carnivora, Build Your Own and a Margherita V Signature with mushrooms). The margherita pizza I was going to be eating arrived first. It took well over 5 minutes for our server to come by and we had to ask for plates, napkins and silverware. By the time that came out and we could eat, the pizza was cold. I love Neapolitan style pizza and this might have been good if it was hot. I really wanted to love it, but couldn't. Even the leftovers the next day heated in the microwave wasn't good. Sorry I don't have a pizza oven at home to reheat it and didn't want to wait for the oven to heat up. It's like the bottom crust never got fully baked. Either meal, I couldn't eat it with my hands since it was a big glob. It required a knife and fork. They did a heavy sell on their charity when dropping off the check. Usual lunch stop on my St Augustine drive. The service is good as always at this location. Even though you order at the counter and get your own drinks and utensils they still check in at the table and clear it, offer to bring plates and silverware when they drop off the food. It's always fairly empty when I get In there during the weekdays which is nice for noise since the high ceilings and open floor seating can get loud. I try to switch my food choices up there hasn't been anything that I haven't enjoyed (pizzas, calzone, meatball sub) The Caesar salad could use a-little more spunk but they are one of the few places that does not skimp on the cheese and they use the good parm slices read more

The hostess at the flask and cannon was wonderful, however since they could not accommodate my party (9) we decided to go to the to the self serve side, I arrived at 445 pm on a Saturday. The kids at the cashier were nice and helpful, however I ordered a wine and their tools were not up to par to get the bottle opened while there was a long queue. We had to help open the bottle, at no fault for our nice attendant, he was lovely and very apologetic. Did I mentioned how busy they were? Omg the phones did not stop ringing and the line of people did not subside during the time I was there. Food was good, as usual. I wish they had more full service tables especially during a weekend, we called in advance and were told no reservations, that would also be helpful. It honestly doesn't work at all. This was my husband and I's first time eating here, and we left very confused. If they really wanted to lean into the Hawaiian theme, they should've offered island-style food. Instead, they decided to shove Italian food into this beachy, tropical setting, and it just feels mismatched. One of the most surprising parts? They told us they can't sell breadsticks or garlic knots because they can't cook bread in the brick ovens. I found that hilarious--people have been cooking bread products over open flames since the first century! I will say--it was wonderful that the food was healthy and made with good quality ingredients. But overall, it felt a little on the pricey side for what it was. We went for lunch in St. Augustine since we were in the area and felt like having pizza but did not want the pizza to be super heavy. We walked in a we were immediately greeted and asked if we have been there before. I told them it was my parent's first time and the cashier proceeded to explain to them how everything worked. We ordered a chicken and a Mac attack pizza along with fountain drink a couple of beers. The store manager then later came to the table with some chicken wings for us to try as it was my parent's first time there! They liked them so much that they placed an order for chicken wings to eat with the pizza. Everything tasted delicious the pizza was nice and hot and the dough was delicious the wings were great and the caramelized onions on them are amazing! I love everything about this place! I'm a big fan of brick oven pizza, and the carnivora pizza surely did not disappoint. Great flavor, perfect crust... What else could you ask for. The energy of the restaurant is engaging - they have weekday evening activities including cornhole, trivia and bingo, and the entire place offers so many different dining experiences from the more formal area on the north side of the restaurant, to the high top bar tables, a full bar, a takeout area, and a casual dining room also. Oh yeah, there's the entire outdoor area with seating, games and more. I also appreciate that the ownership of the restaurant is very charitable in the surrounding area, with lots of opportunities to join them in charitable endeavors. On the day of our visit, we alsat at a high top bar table and were served by the bartender - a gentleman who somehow managed to handle the bar and all the high top tables and not miss a beat. After enjoying dinner at another location -- I was excited to see that one was opening in St. Augustine ... it took me a while to finally try it - but when I finally did, I've been there 3 times in the last 2 months. First was for a late business lunch. I ordered the Strawberry Gorgonzola salad add grilled chicken. OMG! It was DELICIOUS!! The pickled onions were perfect to cut through the sweet vinaigrette dressing. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to really clean out the bowl - but it was a business lunch and that would be improper!! About 2 weeks later, I brought my wife (still thinking about that salad) and had it again! We've been married long enough so I didn't have the same reservations and cleaned my bowl this time! The third time was another business meeting with my admin and our spouses. This time I opted for wings. The server recommended the Cryin' Hawaiian Wings and I went with those -- they were good, but with the name...I was expecting a bit more spice. We came to this location prior to heading somewhere else for dinner. The hostess greeted us and was super cheerful and nice. She put us on the waitlist. Prior to being seated my better half went up to the bar to order a few drinks, he waited about 15 minutes, unfortunately no one acknowledged him or others waiting to order, our table was called a few minutes later, so we opted to just order at the table. Our server greeted us, was really nice and attentive. We ordered a few drinks from the bar. We expected to wait, which we did, in the meantime we ordered a few apps (wings and. meatballs), and a few kids meals. The kids meals seemed to take a really long time. I don't blame the server. We had to ask a few times to see where the noodles and butter were. I've been to multiple other V Pizzas in the area. While our server was great, I tend to like the others better. Finally made it to the new V's Pizza in St Augustine, the Flask & Cannon. My favorite part about all the V Pizza locations is that each one has a different theme. The Flask & Cannon is doing it Tiki/Island style with a bunch of amazing rum/tropical drinks. We came in around 5:00PM on a Friday and had no problem getting a table. I of course had to check out the drink menu and went with my classic Island drink that I get whenever it's on the menu, The Zombie! It was flavorful and nice and strong. Just how you would want a Zombie to be. We then went with food. Now I know it's V Pizza but did you really go if you don't get the V Signature Wings? I'll tell you . you didn't. Should call it V's Wings if you as me. Once again they were just as good as always. I'll keep saying it tell I find something better but best wings I have ever had. We also went with 2 pizzas. The Carnivora and the Paolo. The pizzas were good but I will say they were not as good as ones I have had at other locations. They just didn't seem as Neapolitan as the ones I have had at other locations and there wasn't much char either. Don't get me wrong. Still good pizza but not as good as I have had at there other locations. I do love the location here right in the middle of Jacksonville and Downtown St Augustine. Pizzas came out sizzling and we all enjoyed them. We shared each others and had a good ol time. The pasta wasn't for me, it was too cheesy. Not a bad thing for some as others at the table enjoyed it. We usually go in later in the evening and never get mean looks from the employees! It is perfect because the wings and pizza are cooked so quickly, we are always served quickly and eat fast! We've ordered pizza here twice and attempted to eat there once. The takeout pizza was pretty expensive. I liked the idea that the pizza should be finished cooking at home. The ingredients; however, didn't seem very fresh and the crust lacked flavor. When we went to dine in, the ambiance was very loud and filled with kids making it difficult to talk. We decided to go somewhere else. I recommend reviewing prices relative to competition and to bring in some sound dampening to manage the noise. read more

Headed to st Augustine for some final Christmas shopping and spotted this on the way home. I didn't know this was even here! I like all the locations I have been to so I figured this would be good to. It was shockingly quiet for a late lunch when considering the insane amount of traffic there. Thankfully that means we got our food very fast! And perfectly cooked. I had the special pizza they had - fig and prosciutto. It was fig jam with prosciutto, goat cheese, and mozzarella and arugula. The only thing that would have been better was having actual figs on it. The crust was cooked to perfection. As I said the service was fast. My only real complaint is that it was a little loud for the small amount of people in there. That open concept kills me. If there was a crowd, no way I'd be able to even hear the people at my table. So many restaurants recently are going with this and it's not my favorite. I did not try the Flask and Cannon side, so I have no feelings on it. There is also a playground outside it. I did not play on it. More due to lack of time than the fact that I am an adult lol. Probably great to let the kids loose while you eat. I will definitely return. But will look to avoid during peak times so I can hear my company. read more

I ordered thru delivery service. We got a stromboli, a flatbread, and some wings. If you are not familiar, you need to preheat your oven, as the pizza is only partially cooked. This gives you the fresh, hot pizza experience. The wings are charred and are perfectly cooked. I myself, ordered the original stromboli and added pepperoni. I found the stromboli a little different than what I was used to. The stromboli did not have enough pepperoni for my taste. Usually, stromboli has the cheese and your choice of meat, rolled within the dough. This was more folded and was a little more doughy. This place is nice. The experience is different depending on where you enter and sit. The right side is more like an order and sit at any table, no TVs but nice roomy atmosphere. The left side is where you wait to be seated, TVs, and a bar. We ordered pizza, wings and a Caesar salad. The wings were the best part of the meal. The salad was nothing special with a ton of Parmesan cheese. The pizza was under done and very doughy. I'm rating a 3 stars because I want to give this place another chance, the staff was nice, they donate towards a cause and it was a clean establishment. The soft opening felt like normal service at the location we usually frequent - they've got a good model down pat. Parking is always fully leveraged in their Palm Valley location and this one kept the same theme; but what does that tell you about their food.. But before we get into food, let's talk drinks. Have dined in once, and have ordered take out more than a handful of timea. My favorite items to order are the following: Margherita V pizza (typical margherita pizza with extra cheese) Lemon pepper bone on wings. The wine is okay, the ceasar salad was alright. The gelato is a favorite go go item, I will add management definitely needs to invest in proper packaging for to go items. The last times I ordered gelato to-go they had no lids so it was a melted mess. I will also add that my last couple of to go orders my pizza was soggy, and burnt. Not tasty at all.
