This is really random, but I go to this nail salon specifically for their Vietnamese egg rolls. I know it sounds weird, but I kid you not...they're such a steal. I usually buy my frozen Vietnamese egg rolls in Westminster, but ever since I tried V's, I've been ordering from here instead. I don't eat pork, so I go for the chicken and shrimp. The shrimp pieces are generous compared to other spots, and the seasoning is so well balanced that you honestly don't even need sauce to enjoy them. For me, a perfect egg roll comes down to the crispiness of the wrapper and these deliver. They're rolled and packed so well that every bite is crispy and flaky, not just parts of it. On top of that, V and her husband are incredibly kind, hardworking people. You can tell they genuinely want to share their culture, and it shows in the food. I highly recommend ordering their egg rolls for your next party, or even grabbing them frozen to throw in the air fryer (no oil needed). They only sell these on the weekend. UNSANITARY CONDITIONS!! I was visiting family for a wedding a few weeks ago and had to find a place for a mani and pedi. While getting my pedi, I got nicked by the nail technician and ended up with multiple cuts. The polish was uneven but was told that it was supposed to look like that. Little did I know the tools used at the salon were unsanitized and I ended up with a fungal infection on my right foot!! I went to my doctor this week and I'm currently on antibiotics. For my fingernails, I did a solid color with no designs. My cuticles were also cut up and inflamed. The nail drill they used was burning my nail beds, making them super sensitive throughout the service. Not only the polish was uneven and poorly painted, but it ended up chipping off before I even made it to the event! I would not recommend this salon! read more

My first experience was amazing. I love that they offered drinks and they are super friendly. Mimosas while getting my nails done? Count me in! I did not know what I wanted to do with my nails and V was very patient and helped me. I will definitely be coming back. Everything was also very clean and sanitary. The vibe here was really fun! The prices are also very reasonable and that's rare nowadays for alot of nail shops. They have so many pretty colors and choices to choose from. I learned last minute that I shouldn't have nail polish for a surgery I had coming up so I decided to visit this nail salon to remove my gelX nails. It's a relatively new salon located right behind the Little Cesar's and right next to the florist in the plaza so it's pretty tucked in and can be easily missed. When I went, I learned that they had only been open for 9 weeks and the owners are a couple from the OC. Upon entering, you'll notice it's a pretty small salon. I had an appointment for 11am and was seen right away to start the initial removal process - clip nails, file off the polish, and then soak. Something that was strange to me was that to soak off the gel polish, I was told to dump hands in a bowl of acetone, which felt really gross. It was a small bowl with a warm towel inside, wrapped over with a plastic bag, and acetone poured in. Typically, it's soaked off with cotton, acetone, and foil. This made my entire hands feel completely disgusting and sticky and the acetone smell was so strong. This was when I was then left alone for like 20 minutes because walk in appointments arrived and there weren't really any other staff to help. I was a bit annoyed about this because I had an appointment and I haven't ever had to wait this long for a soak off and I really wanted this to be a quick appointment. When one of the male nail techs finished with a client, he came to help me right away. He was nice. All the staff were honestly -- they always asked if I was feeling okay, if I wanted anything to drink, if I wanted anything more. I appreciated their kindness and attention to customers. However, the cleanliness was worrisome for me. I'm not sure I saw the nail tech wash his hands before coming to work with me. I saw him pull out a nail clipper and other nail tools that were just in his cart (wasn't in one of those sanitation bags that are sanitized and ready to use for each respective customer) and he sprayed alcohol over it and then used it on me. I felt so grossed out by that. At no point did they tell me to go wash my hands either. Additionally, the shaping of my nails wasn't that greatest. I paid, tipped, and quickly went home and then washed and scrubbed my hands when I got home. My pictures show what my hands look like after my service was finished as a result of soaking my fingers in a bowl of warm acetone. It took forever to peel off. I understand they're a relatively new business and might still be trying to get things right in the salon so I don't want to be too harsh, but since this isn't my regular nail salon, it is just so noticeable the differences in care and cleanliness from what I am used to. Additionally, this is only one experience with a gelX removal process so I can't speak to their other services, which may or may not be really good. read more

I was very disgusted but I was half way through my services when I saw them. I've been searching for a new nail tech/salon for a few months. All the ones I've tried just wasn't it. Decided to give V's Nail Bar a try and I'm so glad I did! I called to ask about walk-ins and the man who answered was so nice and accommodating. He said come on in we'll help you out. I was there within 5 minutes and let me tell you it's a whole vibe!!! My first visit to this nail salon was back in December. The owner V did my acrylic nails that day and the service was top notch! Complimentary mimosas and friendly workers. I returned a month later to remove my acrylics. Service was decidedly less friendly and the lady removing my nails was silent the whole time and seemed annoyed that she had to remove my nails. No tip. Went today for a gel manicure. Was told to wait for the tech to finish another customer's nails. The receptionist comes back and let's me know it will be ANOTHER thirty minute wait. The time comes and goes and the tech is STILL not done. At that point I had been waiting for over an hour. I left and went to my old spot where I was seated right away. I won't be back. I promise you I had the best experience here! I received a paraffin wax for my pedicure. They used orange slices across my nails while doing my pedicure. I received a manicure and ended up getting acrylics and gel. I was offered a mimosa, water, and wine. They were super sweet and I didn't feel like an outcast. I really wanted to love this place because it is down the street from my house. Pros: -offer of refreshments MIMOSAS are so good -pedicures are pretty decent, there was one time that a piece of extra skin was removed and I started bleeding the whole appt and I was sore for like a day. I know mistakes happen so I didn't really care. Cons: I am a gel-x girl for my hands, I have my usual nail tech in Anaheim that I go to but she was unavailable the week I was leaving for a bachelorette. So I got gel-x done here. Red flag #1 the gel "tips" they use are not any brand I have seen before: aprés, kiara sky, etc. The nails looked like they were already etched/filed beforehand, and the consistency of the nail did not feel like a gel tip. It felt like a plastic overlay. The key to gel X is how you prep the nail so that they last. My nail tech that I go to I can last 4 to 5 weeks, no breakages. The whole prep situation, the application was messy the whole entire appointment. I had excess gel all over my fingertips. The next day 2 nails popped off. By day 4 all of them came off. Like I said earlier, my nails have never popped off with my other nail tech that I get them done by so when the nail popped off the consistency of the gel didn't even look right it honestly look like if they just super glued the nail to my natural nail, but like I said, the whole entire process was very different from what I used to. I paid $150 including tip that day for my gelx and pedicure that day. Pedicure was good but not the gel x. read more

If you want to be cut multiple times and not get your nails painted correctly come here. I made an appointment for a mani and pedi for myself, and a pedi and full set for my daughter. We were taken right away for our pedicures, but within minutes two other ladies come in and want to get their nails done so the lady who was going to do my daughters moved towards them. The lady doing my daughter's pedi cut her multiple times. She must have been new because her hands were shaking the whole time. The lady giving me my many hurt me and cut me. She said because my hands were dry. Well if she added cuticle remover on me instead of just giving me a bowl of cold water to soak my hands, maybe this would help. I also picked a milky white gel polish. They apparently didn't have it and didn't say anything. The lady stated to paint my nails pink. I stopped her and had her take it off. How do you not tell a customer they don't have a color and then choose for them??? I've seen this nail shop for a few months and decided to give it a try since I didn't want to drive all the way to Ling Beach were I normally get my nails done.. The guy that did my pedicure was either new or was careless , he kept burning me with the nail drill machine and even cut one of my toes . Right after this happened my toe to started burn and hurt .. At soon as the sting and pain began I informed both techs inform him but the guy who caused the cut was nonchalant about it , which bothered me the most .. The lady was who did my pedicure rushed through the process and skipped a few steps - I know because I get my nails done every two weeks - I didn't push the issue because I was over it and wanted to get out of there . V did a pretty good job on my nails and gave me exactly what I asked for. Unfortunately, my nails were slowly cracking days after my service. Just 3 days after my service one nail broke off so I glued it back together and went in to get it fixed. Instead of repairing the nail altogether they just put acrylic powder over it, the nail broke off days after. Then the other nails started to crack as if they were getting ready to break. I felt uneasy and afraid that a nail could break off any second. I was pretty disappointed considering I got French tip along with a design and I loved them. She got back to me quickly and was able to squeeze me in later that week. I have since gone to her regularly and could not be happier. She's consistent and willing to work around my schedule. Beyond being a lovely person she is very skilled at what she does. I've never had to wait and I throughly enjoy my hour with V.
