Went today for a gel pedicure. It was my first time coming here. As soon as I walked in I was greeted very nicely, I told them I had an appointment for a pedicure and got asked to wait a minute while they set up. I remember my very first time coming here it was under different management, and my manicurist was Kate. I loved how Kate did my nails, so I returned. The next time I visited, it was under new family-owned management, and the atmosphere felt more lively, so I decided to come here more often. The place has undergone many changes, such as changing its staff and upgrading the old pedicure massage chairs to new ones. Throughout the year, my wife and I have been attended to by our favorite manicurists and pedicurists Kate's sisters, Sally and Mya. Although Kate primarily does lashes now, she still will do manicures and pedicures and does a phenomenal job. These sisters do a fantastic job, and I highly recommend them. This Tuesday evening, I came for a manicure and pedicure, and I highly recommend the Volcano Deluxe pedicure because it's a beautiful experience with excellent results. After choosing my manicure and pedicure, the receptionist gave me a drink menu. They have a fantastic variety of drinks, but I chose a water bottle for today. My service took about an hour, and my total was nearly $80 without a tip. If you are looking for a new nail and lash salon, give LA Nails & Lashes a chance. I really wanted to love this place because it's so close to my house and they have really good customer service. They offer you a drink while you're getting your service and they all have a great attitude overall. Specially Alex and Ivy, one time Alex didn't do my set and when I went back to get a nail fixed he took me in no problem so I didn't have to wait; because the other tech was busy. Ivy is always super sweet and so thorough with my pedicure. The problem I have is with the quality of the products the owner has the staff use. My cousin brought it to the attention of the nail tech and the salon and they have been falsely accusing her of lying about my toe not being infected after my appointment. I had to go on antibiotics for 2 weeks. I was in terrible pain and couldn't walk because of the infection causing pressure. I can provide any medication documentation you need to prove this occurred. They had cut my toe nail and I said it was okay when the lady asked me. I thought it was normal because she took an ingrown nail out but days after I still had that pain. I tried to go here for a dip and manicure. I was immediately seated, which was nice, but the tech started doing the dip before the manicure. Now, it's been a minute since I got my nails done, so I didn't say anything. Meanwhile, he rips my cuticle with one of the tools. I mentioned that I wanted a manicure as well, and the tech rolled his eyes while telling me I should have said something sooner. He grabs a bowl of water (not even warmed) and tells me to put my hands in it. He then started gathering tools for the manicure, which were just lying around, so I was really worried about when they were last sanitized. I just left, even though the tech had already sanded down my nail bed and did a layer of pre-dip polish. There might be good nail techs here, but if management feels it is okay to keep this tech on staff, I wouldn't risk it. read more

Upon entering the salon was definitely lacking some fresh air as the fumes were so strong, but the gentleman at the front without hesitancy opened the front doors per my request to allow the salon to air out. Additionally, I was offered coffee and water. I was so excited they offered coffee! However, I wasn't too excited that my hot coffee was served in a clear plastic cup that was not fit for a hot drink. A styrofoam (appropriate for hot drinks), a to-go coffee cup, or the best choice would have been an actual mug for the coffee. Nonetheless it was great that they began to offer this additional perk. It really did elevate the experience. They have brand new decor as well that matched the "glam vibe." Kimmy did an amazing job on my pedicure. I usually don't leave negative reviews but I went in for a pedicure to remove an ingrown on Saturday. I called before hand to see if they had anyone with the knowledge to remove it and a lady insisted she had someone to do the job. ( manager maybe ?) It's currently Monday and my toes are so swollen. I've been getting pedicures since a very young age and I've never felt the pain on my toes like I do now. I usually give it a day or so for the swelling to go down from the ingrown removal, since I know and understand they need to dig it out in order to remove it. But in this case I'm just in pain when I walk even more than before going in You can still see the inflammation. I really hope it doesn't get even more infected. I can feel the pressure from it. I can totally feel when the ingrown is completely removed or not. I mentioned it to David if he can check again and he insisted he took everything out... Moral of the story don't come here if you have an ingrown. They do NOT know how to properly remove it. Also is it okay to use cuticle oil, while your cutting the nail to remove the ingrown? I've never in my life have seen someone use oil to take my ingrown out. They usually just let my feet soak in water and it comes out fine. Why oil? read more
