Summary: I was told by my dermatologist to reach out to an esthetician regarding my current acne needs, recognizing that the next step if my acne still was bothering me would be a pill which has a lot of side effects. So I went searching for an esthetician and came across this beautiful gem and in a convenient location. I read the comments and was excited to see if Genice could help me. For reference, I am an over 30 female who is blessed with pretty good skin my whole life. I have family members who were completely opposite and had drastic hive acne so I know how bad it could be. Anywho, after I turn 30, I noticed especially my facial skin was becoming very combination and it seemed to change daily or weekly between dry and oily. As you can imagine, this became extremely frustrating and really hard to control breakouts. I went to seek medical help from my dermatologist and after prescribing topical creams, she suggested to look into an esthetician before other drastic measures. I met with Genice who is very knowledgeable and helpful regarding my skin needs. She was also very accommodating saying we'll try one thing and if that doesn't work she has another idea. She definitely took the time to look over my skin. Listen to all my problems about it and then assessed and came up with a great plan. First, there was a commotion about how I wanted to wait for Cita to do my brows despite already choosing her on the ipad upon signing in. I asked for a brow cleanup just on the top, but she convinced me to let her clean the bottom of my brows for better shape. Needless to say, the cleanup performed on my right lower brow was so bad. I had a perfect clean arch before Cita had touched it, but I left the salon with a jagged arch and the hairs refuse to grow back now. She was adamantly suggesting me to use caster oil to regrow hair (which is untrue btw - it's an old wives' tale) and was not listening to what I was saying. I was beyond speechless after that. Of course I left a tip but I will not be going back because that was the treatment I was given as a returning customer. Very disappointed. Was hoping for consistency in good work due to the 5-star review streak. Maybe other customers were purposefully being treated better than me. ‍
