Amazing service from this salon! They really take their time on your nails and ended up staying past their closing time to meet all their customers needs, which says a lot. I lucked out with Tristan doing my cateye gel nails with designs and absolutely love how they turned out. He was super knowledgeable, creative, and kind. Me and my girlfriend called 45 min before and were seen as soon as we got there, we asked for specific designs and were given exactly what we wanted no hesitation, sometimes it's minimal sometimes it's maximum lol. But either way they deliver. We each paid 53$ for our gel manicure which was insane, and the nails... PERFECT. Also they accept Zelle which was so helpful. You would never have guest there were so many talented ladies under one roof but there are here! They are extremely good at FREESTYLE nail art. Thank you again we will be back. read more

Hidden gem This nail salon has great reviews for a reason! Everyone is so pleasant and accommodating. I'm 7.5 months pregnant and they sat me down in a comfy chair with a nice little pillow whilst I waited. Go with time to spare! I made an appointment at 11:30 and they were very obviously so they didn't start on my nails until 12 but that was honestly fine with me. I was able to see them hard at work and pay attention to detail. I showed my girl a picture of what I wanted for my nails and she DELIVERED! She wasn't sure at first but I think she had to have more faith in her craft because she KILLED IT! I visited Luna Nails Bar on a Saturday morning (I had an appointment for 11am) and it wasn't very busy so it is the perfect time to go if you want to avoid the crowd. It gets very busy in the afternoon so just keep that in mind. Also another thing to note--they only accept cash here! Upon entering, I was greeted immediately and the store is very bright and clean since the shop was recently renovated. I came in for a gel mani pedi and Sally worked on my nails. Initially I wanted to get cat eye nails but I'm really happy she did a test nail first because I ended up not liking it on me very much. She had no problem changing the colors and I ended up getting a pistachio color with chrome on top. The cuticle work was very clean and she was very gentle with my nails which I appreciate because I've been to salons that tend to be too rough on the cuticles and my nails end up hurting afterwards. The pedicure was just as nice and she used a nice scented scrub on my legs and feet before beginning the pedicure. I got 2 coats of funny bunny then 2 coats of bubble bath on top--definitely recommend if you like a neutral pedi! Another thing I appreciate is the techs here are sweet and conversational. The owners (Tristan and Sally) are very nice and you can tell they care about their salon/work. They don't try to push you to upgrade for more expensive services or anything either. Overall I felt very comfortable here and they work efficiently but meticulously. I recommend coming to this nail salon for all your nail needs! read more

Came across this Nail Bar due to another nail salon not honoring my appointment. I showed up at 7:30pm on a Saturday night and waited about 20 minutes to be helped. I didn't have an appointment so I was prepared to wait. While I waited, I ordered myself some pizza from next door lol. Anyway, I was helped by Jayden and she was so incredibly professional and talented. I got almond shaped acrylics, showed her an inspo pic, and she DELIVERED! One reason why this will be my go-to place is how late they're open. They don't turn away business. Oh, I guess the only con is they only accept cash as a form of payment. It's not the fanciest but they are good with their hands. It's surprisingly hard to find a good pedicure spot in SoCal (my other spot is in Santa Clarita and I'm in West LA) so even though this is a hike for me too, it's worth the trek. We came for a friends birthday and got 3 pedis and a mani and the ladies were wonderful. We all were very happy with our service and I will definitely come back for a pedi if I'm in the area. First time that I can remember leaving a nail salon feeling like I LOVE my nails! I asked for gel builder on my natural nail. I'm trying to grow my nails and I have super thin breakable nails. The last salon left my nails looking thick and wide and sloppy. I asked for natural looking, thin, oval shaped nails (I don't think almond flatters my hands and everyone always insists on the pointy shape) and SALLY & JAYDEN delivered exactly what I asked for! Both were super gentle and took their time assuring I was satisfied with the shape and look. I should mention I walked in without an appt and was welcomed in. Customer service was great by everyone. Unfortunately, today was a completely different experience. We arrived just before 4 PM and didn't leave until almost 8 PM. We were never told how long the wait would be. After already waiting a long time, we decided to stay since we were told we would be taken together so we could finish around the same time. I'm sure that's part of why the wait ended up being so long. After waiting hours, my gel manicure was rushed and finished in about 10-15 minutes, with no hand massage and very little care. It felt like the technician was just trying to move on to the next person as quickly as possible because it was busy. My daughter received a regular pedicure with gel--nothing special--and between the two of us our total was $100. My niece got a fill with a French tip and a pedicure with gel and French tip and was charged $180. The most frustrating part is that no one explained the services, asked exactly what we wanted, or quoted prices beforehand. For how rushed the services were, the pricing felt extremely overpriced. Honestly, after spending nearly half my day there just waiting and then getting rushed service, it felt like they should be paying me for wasting my time rather than charging those prices. It's disappointing because my weekday experience was great, but based on today's visit during busy hours, I would recommend being cautious. Make sure you ask about wait times and pricing before agreeing to any services.

She did mention that you would be able to see the natural nail under the tip and I said it was ok. I realized after I got home that the pink base coat was essentially clear and the natural nail showed in an obvious way in photos even though I thought it looked ok in person. I did not bring this up to the salon because I figured I just chose the wrong design and decided to just go somewhere else to just get a solid color all over. While getting my polish changed at the other salon, the nail tech noticed that my cuticles were completely covered in gel and had to take an extra 10-15 mins just drilling all the gel off my cuticles otherwise it wouldn't have grown out smoothly. She also fixed the nail shape because it was super pointy for almond in my opinion. My reason for my rating is because gel is not good to constantly get on skin. I did notice my original tech at moongirlnails used a brush to wipe off the gel after each tip application which I didn't love since other places I've been to have known how much gel to apply to avoid overflow. Using excess glue and going back to clean up is not good technique in my opinion. And seeing that the excess was not even fully wiped off and left on my cuticles, I cannot in good faith recommend this salon if you want to avoid developing a gel allergy.

My nails grow quickly, so I usually come back every 3.5-4 weeks for maintenance. Today, I requested a short length and a round shape that followed my natural nails. My only concern was with the filing--because my nails were already short, it started getting a little too close to the skin near the sensitive nail bed area. It didn't hurt too badly, but there was a mild stinging sensation at times. Another thing I wanted to mention was the total. My service came out to $125. While I understand pricing can vary depending on add-ons or designs, I was a little confused because the last time I received the exact same services, I paid $110. I would've really appreciated a receipt or price breakdown so I could better understand how the total was calculated. For reference, this visit included a gel mani/pedi, builder gel, a simple design, and the #2 Tru Signature Sugar Scrub pedicure. At my last appointment, I received the #3 Tru Moisture Rich pedicure, so I was surprised to see a higher total this time. Overall, I still had a positive experience and enjoyed the service.
