Lucky Nails - Currently 6/10 I got these done 5/18. No lifting, no hair pulling honestly very happy with this place, despite some of the negative reviews. - Nail Salons Near Me - South Gate, California

I've been here three times, and they never disappoint! The customer service is always great, and since they work by appointment only, it never feels crowded. It's a couple-owned business, and they truly care about their clients. I recently switched back from Gel X to acrylics, and the quality of their work is amazing--no lifting or pop-offs. Great service, beautiful nails, and very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend! read more

I've been coming to Lucky Nails for years. They never disappoint & not very many places will let you bring kids & they've always been extremely nice to my boys. They are detailed & listen. Came here for the first time walked right in for a spa pedicure & manicure worst pedicure ever the lady who attended me took way too long just to do my pedicure an 1hr & 50 mins just to do a spa pedicure & a manicure with no color. & as you can see in the picture I still have nail polish around my toes..job not even done right should have known better when I noticed a customer complaining about her hand nails not being filed right & started to file her own nails down. I also noticed they do not sanitize down the spa area not even with cleaning supplies all they did was rinse it out with water & a dirty sponge called the next customer didn't even bother to change out the towels I also noticed they use the same towels that they use on someone's feet on somebody else's hands how gross first & last time returning customer never again. read more

I had finally found a place/person who would do gel manicures to my standard, polish never chipped, and stayed shiny and new for weeks. But I've gotten 2 pedicures here and both times were a nightmare. First of all, while getting manicure a roach started crawling on the table and she killed with with the buffer she was using on my nails AND THEN continued to buff my nails with the same buffer!!!! Both times I've gotten a pedicure here (by different people) I've gotten cut. They are toooo rough while removing the sides of your toenails. I've gotten it done at other salons and it really shouldn't hurt when doing it correctly. It's been 2 days and my toe is still oozing blood and what looks like pus. I'm literally praying to god that I don't get an infection. It also seems like it's the way they're being trained because every technician in this salon does the same thing like???? And I know my review isn't the first to state that they've been cut and hurt I really love their gel manicures and it's the only reason why I kept coming back but I think I'd just rather find a new salon. read more

Horrible customer Service! Came in for a pedicure and the guy that sits in the first station refused service because o didn't have an appointment. There was only 2 people in the whole business! Never again will I try to make an "appointment" here. read more

Love this place. Clean and really good work. I try and come by every 2-3 weeks for a mani & pedi sometimes I go longer since the nail doesn't chip. It's been 3 weeks and my nails haven't chipped but I am due for a Mani. I suggest you go during the week, Sat is a long wait so expect to wait 30-1 hour. But it's totally worth the wait. They don't rush the work and they take their time. read more

Avoid this place!! I came here because of the good reviews. Initially I was happy with the service and the price. I usually pay more for gel nails since a regular manicure always chips on me. After a week every single one of my nails had chipped. One came off completely! Normally gel nails last 2- 3 weeks on me and never chip. 8- 10 nails were messed up. I went to tell them and they told me that too many days had passed to help me. So basically got ripped off. I guess you get what you pay for which isn't much here. Sure they're nice but what's the point if your nails don't last? I would greatly recommend taking your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

ONE star because I have to and also because I do like the thin Asian woman that works here. She's the only one who is polite & does a good job. The other people are so rude and the man with the tattoos & piercing(s) (not the main guy who sits by the counter) is so ROUGH. I went in last week for a mani & pedi and he kept hurting me. He CUT me and made me bleed and he had the audacity to tell me to put my foot back in the dirty water!!!!!!!!!! They ARE NOT SANITARY to top it off. I said no and he asked again to put my foot back in the water! I obviously said no again. I will not be back. I only come here when my top nail salon is so busy but I'd rather wait 10 hours there then come to this unprofessional place. Note to the owner: Please have your employees practice customer service including you and fire the man who keeps hurting/cutting your customers! (Read other reviews) read more

I came here many salons were closed due to holiday and asked for pedicure and manicure. During my service I asked how long the service would take "we take long as long as we want if not you can leave that is way we work "the manager stated. I was offered no additional services for pedicure I told the lady that as long as service is good I pay well like $100. She said we have other higher paying customers and they could not do the manicure. Horrible unprofessional services they don't value customer if you want to be treated horrible and like crap come here! read more

I tried this place for the first time, because it's close to my house and my other nail salon left me less than satisfied the last couple of times I went. I came around 6 and was seen after only a few minutes. I got a fill and a pedicure both by tony and he is so good at what he does. He's very knowledgable about nails and pointed out how my previous acrylic and pedicure job left my nails uneven (which is why I stopped going to my other nail salon) he did such a good job of fixing my nails to be flawless and shaped to perfection. And it was rather quick I was out within an hour that day. Prices are affordable and it's the best work I have ever seen on my nails I will definitely be back and recommend! Thank you tony. read more

The horrible place I have ever been, I did my nail for 3 days, and they are peeling, I come back to try to fix them since it is only 3 days. However, the owner and another lady with an extremely bad attitude, asked what color is this. I said I wasn't aware, because you did it for me 3 days ago. And they said can't do it if I don't know the color. I explained the issue that keeps peeling off, and another customer on yelp review has the same problems. They told me they are not caring about yelp reviews, all their customer has good feedback. So I have to come here telling the truth, and letting people know, how terrible is this place, please be aware, unless you want to disappoint yourself. read more

This nail salon is JUST okay. I like to treat my mom and sister every month or so to the trip at the salon. They've been doing a nice job with acrylics so far but where they really lose out on is pedicures. They cut my poor mama because the man was too rough and rushed- he did my acrylics the first time and I felt the same energy from him. As for pedicures they're BASIC. There is no foot massage and very little attention to comfort and detail. When I come to a nail salon I want to relax and feel pampered. Unfortunately that's not the case with Lucky Nails. Until I find a nicer salon I'll keep coming here because their prices are decent. read more

I was a little confused and skeptical about this place since it has so many mixed reviews. I stopped by and all I wanted was a regular pedicure and gel manicure. That is exactly what I got! The lady that worked on my nails took her time cutting my cuticles, filing my nails, and polishing my nails. I havent felt so comfortable with the look of my nails in a while. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. They are VERY busy on Saturdays so I would reccomend coming thursday or friday from what they told me. Apparently those days are the best to go in. read more

I've been coming here for a while now and they usually always do a great job on manicures. There is a new lady, very thin short black hair (not Tony's wife) She is new, did my pedicure yesterday and it was the worst experience I have ever had with getting a pedicure!!!!! I have never in my life got cut, and she cut me on my big toe on the side of the nail. It wouldn't stop bleeding and she pretended like the blood wasn't even there. Mind you, I am writing this review the next day and my toe is in pain! It even hurts to walk. I really don't know if I will return! FYI the pedicure literally took more than an hour, I get it she's new.. but that was ridiculous. I was trying to be nice because I know everyone starts from somewhere but she was not so gentle AND once she cut me, it was super unacceptable. I'm praying my toe gets better, and not worse. read more

Before coming in on a Wednesday evening, I almost had given up asking for coffin shaped nails. Everywhere I'd go, they would either be filed uneven or filed squared! But going through Lucky Nails instagram i decide to give this place a try And give coffin nails one last try. A man did my nails. I asked for coffin shaped ombré white tip nails and that's EXACTLY what I got. I can't remember the last time I was in love with my nails. The gentleman took his time and gave me what I wanted. It was the worst manicure I've ever received. The lady that helped me kept tossing my hands around and hurt my fingers a couple of times. I have never had a more BLOODY horrifying experience. It was like a mini torture session for my toe. When I went to get a mani-pedi i never expected what was to come. I began my service by getting a gel manicure which came out lumpy and shaped badly. Next he began to give me a pedicure.... as he was removing "dead skin" I began to feel pain. I have always been able to handle pain well but as he continued to dig deeper he began to pull fresh skin and it was so painful I told him "I don't believe that's dead skin. My toe is gushing blood and I have never bled like that" but he continued and I told him I couldn't do it. I was literally gushing blood and he told me to just dip my foot in the water and tried to continue. I almost got up and stopped the service at that point. He said he would leave that area alone and stopped to continue the rest of my pedicure. Here are some pictures of my bruised toe a few hours later STILL GOOING AND BLOODY and my lumpy manicure. I'll be attaching a video above of my toe after it had stopped gushing blood. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LEAVE WITH EXTREME PAIN. It's been an entire day and my toe is still bleeding... that "dead skin" he said he cut was fresh skin. Imagine someone pulling your fresh skin. I am in so much pain even a day later. I regret going to this place and I don't want anyone to get hurt like I've been hurt. I will be contacting state board. read more
