So today 10/10/25 I came into this nail salon today to get a short French tip acrylic set. The prices were already pretty steep, but I was still willing to come back later since they were busy. When I asked the man at the front (who seemed to be in charge) what time they closed, he told me 7:30. I said I'd return around that time, but he immediately refused and said they'd be "full later." The whole interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. If they only take appointments, that should have been stated upfront instead of turning someone away without explanation. What made it worse was that I was the only person of color in the salon, and the way I was treated made me feel completely unwelcome. It was an uncomfortable and disappointing experience -- and I won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone. read more

Nikki gave me a new ombré acrylic set. She got the shape perfect and they are beautiful. I had someone comment that they are the most beautiful ombré nails they'd ever seen ( she was a nail artist first 34 years!!!). read more

I honestly did not like the service here. I just got my nails done by Tim. My nails are overfilled and out of shape. I was supposed to get short acrylic French nails, but they look oval and asked for the French tip. They did not do it as I want it. They just put on white fake nails and cover it with a clear top polish. I also have a broken nail that was just covered with a clear acrylic but you can't see it. I am so upset on how my nails were done won't be coming back here read more

My mom and I haven't done our nails since the pandemic and I wanted to take my mom to do her nails. We walked in and we asked for two pedis. We decided to wait because they were busy I even told my mom we should leave but she really wanted to do her nails. She wanted to do her nails with the owners mom so I went with a different person to do my nails. I totally regret not leaving! I didn't catch her name but she was really aggressive with my nails and she literally cut me so many times. I'm still in pain I can't even put my socks on. It is actually scary that now I'm worried that they even sanitize their tools. I will no longer go to this place they even charge you for sandals. Please be careful. read more

Linda did an amazing job with my pedi and she had great customer service with personality. I told her exactly what I wanted and needed (get rid of all my cuticles) which other techs it seems they don't know or afraid to cut. She did it all without cutting me. I would definitely come back to see her again and I am pretty shocked I am this happy being the first time I visit this shop. She only works Thursday - Saturday. Pedi wCallus $17/$5. read more

I haven't done my nails in over 12 years and was nervous to do the hit-or-miss nail salon experience. Especially when I wanted to do acrylics. I walked into Tammy's (without an appointment) and waited about 20-25 minutes for service. On a Thursday night the place was busy which is a good sign. I got a pedicure and short acrylics and loved both services. The staff is warm and friendly and understood my needs well. The massaging chair during the pedi was also a super bonus. I'm a fan and hope to return for future nail needs! read more

She took almost 2 hours for a simple gel manicure. She kept cutting me and kept telling me to stop moving every time I felt the pinches. They don't know how to polish as they leave it bumpy making it look bulky and uneven. I told her and she had the audacity to ask "what's wrong with it" Look at how uneven my thumbs are, even the shape is way off and even in length. If it's something I learned from personal experience, all nail shops surrounding Huntington park are terrible. Save your time and money and invest elsewhere. read more

So unhappy... I am new to the area, I had just came from another salon that had cut me so I was hoping it would be better here. I just needed one nail done with polish. Tim helped me, he did the polish on my nail once but it had white spots and since I wanted it black it was noticeable, he proceeded to repainted, just to come across more sloppy work . I spent more than 30 min for just one nail & the end result was horrible & patchy . I will not be returning. read more

Tammy nails is a nice settle place to get your nails done if you're looking for something simple or quick. The lady who attended me was really nice and gentle. I love how they actually sanitize and clean their tools you don't really see that often in many other salons in the area. They take their time to do a good job. I only when in for a pedicure, so this is only based on my experience. read more

I went on a Monday evening and it was empty! :D I asked for gel a mani and pedi. I was impressed by the guy who did my finger nails as he made it his mission to remove cuticles... However the gel application for my mani was horrible. I had to ask him to go over the sides of my finger nails a few times because you could clearly see he missed a few spots LOL Plus the polish application looked streaky Im giving this place 4 stars tho because they get down with the pedis... At least the lady that did my feet does. Will come back for a pedicure... Not so sure about a gel manicure as I've paid cheaper for a better application. But maybe I'll give someone else a try at a gel mani at this place : ) read more

I moved here to H.P 8 months ago, and I have not really taken the time to find a new nail shop. I yelped a few & long story short I came to Tammy's. Probably the best move I ever did! The shop is clean, no loud chatter, just nice and relaxing. I'm extremely picky so I was pretty anxious. Josie ended up being the nail tech and it was the best gel manicure and pedicure that I've probably ever have had. She is the sweetest, kindest women.ask for Josie. Her work was just incredible. The detail, impeccable the overall love she has for her work shows! I hope to return with her again when I need a touch up. Thank you again Josie & Tammy's Nails, you made me feel comfortable & I'll be returning soon. read more

Came here for my vacation nails and omg did not like their service. When I told the guy if he could fix one nail because it looked very uneven he told me my fingers were uneven I was like no sir their not. The lady doing my feet did a horrible job. She charged me $5 extra on taking the jell off and when I looked only half of it was off. She hurt my feet so bad. When I left I literary stated to cry. The only nice one was I believe the owners wife ...Never again read more

Found this place on yelp came because of good reviews and close to my job. Man rushed and did a sloppy job.

I went to get a regular manicure and a spa pedicure. She did a great job took her time and really paid attention to detail her work. I really appreciated her service. I had been here before and I keep coming back when I know I need a good job done other than just doing the basics myself. I only paid $27 for all. Great place...want to feel pampered? come here. Tammy Nails tames time with each of their customers thank you Tim

If I could give this place no stars I would. I don't like slamming businesses but I would never go back again, my sister and I went in for pedicures and both ladies that did our pedicures cut our cuticles too deep making them bleed. Both ladies were unapologetic we were literally bleeding and on top of that charged us full price. Never again! read more

Always great work, just gets busy, gotta call ahead to make an appointment. Great gel manicure!

I've been to Tammy Nails before with better experiences, but unfortunately, the standard of care for the customer was so low this time that I literally created a yelp account just to post this review. The license on Tim's station has a mysteriously obscured expiration date, for starters. As the manicure went on, I realized that there were still nail clippings scattered around the table from the previous client. He began to buff my nails with an old buffer, probably used on multiple clients before me. When I complained, it was as if he hadn't heard me and completely ignored my complaint. The last straw was when he told me to wash off my hands before he painted them. I told him the acrylic nails were filed crookedly and that I'd like them fixed. He refused to do so, claiming my nails were already crooked when I arrived, and that they could not be filed into the right shape. I left with my nails halfway done, unacceptable. read more

Came here to do my nails for the first time with Tim, and loved it... I loved how well he did my nails, I recommend you to come to him.

This is your typical hole in the wall low quality nail salon. I went with high expectations due to their good reviews on here. I was completely disappointed. I went in for a mani and pedi. This man did my mani which was very messy. Although he did a good job on cleaning up my nails by removing the dead skin when it came to painting them he did not do a decent job around my cuticle area. Next, I had the "luck" of having this older woman with glasses do my pedicure. Everything was going fine until she started removing the dead skin. On one of my toes she kept digging into it until she made it bleed. Before she noticed I was looking at her, she then proceeded to take the dead skin she had been taking off my toes from the cuticle clipper and decided it was a great idea to place it on top of my bleeding toe so that I wouldn't notice. Next, she continued with my next toe but when she got to the toe after that one she yanked the skin (instead of clipping it little by little) and made that one bleed as well... I then asked her if I was bleeding and she blatantly lied and said it was nothing. After that I opt out to not get any polish on my toes. When it came down to paying and to my surprise they charged me $17! This was the first and last time I come here!!!! If you would like a pedi with a side of two cut up toes and no nail polish for a wonderful total of $17 this is your place! Please pray I don't end up with fungus!!! read more
