I ordered the blvd breakfast special. I got mine with hash browns, bacon, 2 sunny side up eggs, and wheat toast. The bacon here is so delicious I cant even begin to explain it. They also have delicious breakfast sausages here. The food is not greasy here at all. You don't leave with that nasty feeling of eating a greasy meal. When I arrived, they were pretty busy and understaffed. This was a Sunday around brunch time. After I was seated, it took 8 minutes to get a glass of water. Not acceptable, even when you're busy. The vegan breakfast consisted of a half slab of tofu, barely seasoned, with lots of oil and veggies on top. The tofu was flavorless, but meal was edible because of the veggies and the seasoning I added. They forgot to bring my toast, until I asked about it. Wow, what a hole in the wall! First off parking is very accessible and dining in was definitely a cozy feel. I was looking to try something new for brunch and luckily stumbled across this place. Whoever mentioned that this place had one of the best omelettes they have had was not lying. I had a build your own omelette (which lasted 5 minutes) with a side of fruit and a iced chai latte (also better than the one at Starbucks.. imo). Definitely would recommend it! I was scoping around looking at other peoples orders as well (sorry, bad habit) and all the plates looked delicious. The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly! The eggs are on point and the hollandaise sauce is simple and not overpowering. However, during my visit I was not acknowledged by any of the staff who kept walking past me. It took 15 min to order my food. This is one of those "food you could easily make yourself twice as good" places. Really average diner-style food that takes too long and costs too much for what it is. My girlfriend got a waffle with a side of hash browns. The waffle was over cooked and dry. Pretty much what you would get if you made waffles from a box and forgot to take them out of the waffle maker, which is probably what happened. The hash browns were hash browns. I got the vegan breakfast, which was just a bunch of semi-cooked vegetables dumped unceremoniously onto a soy patty. It comes with a side of bread, which is just grocery store sliced bread toasted for you. The service was really poor - we were pretty much not waited on after our order was put in. It's not the most expensive place in the world, but even then it's not worth it. We could have stayed in and made all of this ourselves just as fast, 1/4th of the price, with much better results. read more

A nice brunch spot that is hidden from downtown Glendale and only a mile away from the Griffith Park Equestrian Center, V Boulevard Cafe is a great place to eat breakfast with a couple of friends and family. Parking is not an issue here since it is free street parking. However, it took me a while to find this place since it was sandwiched between retail stores. The ambiance was small but decorative. We each ordered the Boulevard special that included our choice of eggs, toast, meat (bacon), and slices of fruits such as cantaloupe and watermelon. I ordered mine as sunny side up, but it turned out to be overcooked. The fruits tasted okay, not too special. Toast was great, but the crispy bacon was the best of all. Service was very friendly and spot on. I might come back to try another dish in the next few months. Had to update my review. Visited today (Sunday) and wasn't as busy.. The lady server that first attended to us was more friendly than our actual server. Our server was this larger guy and didn't greet us.. No hi no nothing. No one checked on us while we were eating and even after we were done we waited for about 15 minutes until he noticed we needed our check. Another lady dropped off our check and didn't say anything to us either. My BF and I both worked in the food industry as servers and food runners before, and although we get you may be busy.. You should still try to acknowledge us and be courteous. We don't like to leave bad tips cause we know how it feels and we try to tip at least 20% of the bill. But today was such a disappointment, 10% will do. I've never left 0 tip and as much as I wanted to, my BF insisted I should still leave something. read more

I ordered peanut butter pancakes from V Boulevard for breakfast via postmates...when they arrived to me there was no peanut butter on the pancakes...they were plain. To make matters worse there was no syrup! So I couldn't eat the pancakes at all. When I called the restaurant to politely see if there was a remedy for the situation the manager on duty admitted " we forgot to put peanut butter so we gave you regular, okay". I was baffled...she offered to do nothing for me except give me a discount next time after I got upset. Won't be ordering from here ever again. With just a quick walk from my office and consistent food, I would say I'm a fan. Granted their menu isn't too overwhelming with elevated choices, but when you just need a salad, sandwich or a burger- it's a pretty good spot. All the other tables around us that placed orders received it before us, but we were still patiently waiting. Food came out, the breakfast burrito was missing the avocado (they said they ran out) and I never received the toast that came with my omelette. I asked for the toast again, never got it. Received the bill, we were charged full price for everything, even though there was no avocado or toast. If we had added the toast and avocado separately I'm pretty sure we would have been charged extra, so why not compensate the customer for something you didn't serve.
