When This storage facility stole my unit. Evidence
    Darren C.

They stole my unit and almost all of my belongings. I got the police report to prove it. They did nothing the whole day while my stolen locker was open for 10+ hours (Not even locking it down). When I talked to sheriffs , I was the 5th guy reporting against this facility about robber/burglary in this us Storage Center. Top it off, they have huge rat infestation. They literally had a dead rat for two weeks in their hallway without cleaning it. Avoid this place at all cost, your items are not safe with them, rats will eat your stuff, and their insurance are frauds. YES, they sell fake insurance to their customers. RUN from this place, RUNNNNN!

I told them I had a problem with this and they didn't help me at all, I had to put the traps myself and have to get rid of them myself.

WARNING: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Choose another storage facility…read more Please learn from my mistake and do not be sucked in by promises of cheap storage for the first 3 months. They will bait and switch you and they have horrible customer service. No one was there when I arrived at 1:30pm. I called the phone number, no one answers. I am standing there with 3 movers who are ready to unload, but we can't get past the gate. Eventually someone picks up the phone and rudely says they left to assist other customers (this was a lie, the employee with the poorly drawn on eyebrows was in the back of the office in an employee only area). I say no problem and step inside to fill out paperwork. Right off the bat, this woman had an attitude. She claims I don't have a reservation. I say yes I do, and show her the email. I ask if I can have the driver pull the truck in while we fill out paper work. She smugly says no. Bait and switch #1: she tells me I will have to pay a higher rate for insurance than I was told when I made the reservation. Bait and switch #2: she also tells me I will need to pay 3 months up front (this is fine but it would've been nice if I was informed when I made the reservation and discussed with them over the phone). At this point, I am uncomfortable, annoyed, and getting the impression that she has no interest in helping me. She say that I have an attitude and that I can find storage elsewhere. I understand they have the right to refuse service, but I don't have time to find a new storage facility (moving is stressful enough), so I try to apologize. Asked her what I can do to make this right. She still says no. I tell her to have a wonderful day and inform the moving crew. The movers plead with her because they want to get the job done. No luck, she tells them the same thing: we are not welcome here. We had to call around to other storage facilities and got very lucky to find a cheaper unit at a higher quality facility that doesn't require 3 months payment up front. It all worked out and I'm so glad I didn't give them any of my money. These are terrible people and they don't deserve to be in business.

I didn't get everything I asked for in my original claim, but I got some compensation to offset the many permanent damages to our belongings. The art of negotiating is to create a win-win situation. Not feeling like I won because we lost so much due to the infestations. However, sometimes, considering all things, we chose to take the deal on the table even if it might not be the preferred one. #FeelingOkay #NotCompletelyRestored #SomethingIsBetterThanNothing #CouldntGuaranteeTheJudgeWouldSeeThingsMyWay #TheContractReleasedTheirLiability

Jose, one of the staff members, is absolutely the man. He's always friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Whether it's answering questions, helping with access, or just making sure everything runs smoothly, he goes above and beyond every time. You can tell he takes pride in his work and actually cares about the customers, which makes a huge difference. Honestly, it feels like he's carrying the weight of the whole team at times--and he still does it all with a smile. Huge thanks to Jose for showing up every day with a positive attitude and making the experience so much better.

I have been a customer for almost three years. I chose this location because it was close,…read moreconvenient and when we walked through to check it out manager, Jose, was so nice and helpful. He has been absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to work with. Always helpful, professional and a really warm personality. As result of a house fire and total loss of my property, I had a few things I was able to salvage and store and needed to add another unit. He was kind and understanding and helped us find the right sized unit. While my construction went on longer than expected I needed to add another unit. I have had a total of 3 units here. No issues with billing or payments. They're timely with receipts and communication for rent increase. It seems unfair, and I'm disappointed that the monthly rents continue to rise for consistent customer account's that are current. But, I know that's how the storage rental business works. The building is climate controlled, and always clean. As other customers have noted, the one bathroom is inconsistently available and often locked. Not always stocked with supplies and the faucet at the sink was broken and not promptly repaired. The elevators are a nice size and fits a lot of items with no issues. In the years I've been a customer, I've never experienced them broken. Extremely easy to get in and out of the building with access. But overall, a very nice experience. My only complaint would be the parking. At times, You have to be strategic about your visit to get parking. Over time, there were used to be a couple of women that worked in the office with Jose. Haven't seen them in a while. But, always friendly and prompt. We did not start having issues until they hired this guy, who refuses to give out his name, so we'll call him "NoName". NoName is extremely rude, dismissive and unprofessional. We walked in the office to get a cart, NoName did not greet us, and barely even acknowledged we entered the door. NoName looked up and said, "What do you want?" I looked at my husband and just walked out. Another time when he initially started working there and Jose was on break, I asked him when the manager would be back - so I could review all my contracts - he said "I am the manager, what do you want?". The tone was so disrespectful and condescending. I'm assuming he didn't know we were long time customers. But, he was not like that with a Hispanic couple that came in while he was supposed to be helping us. They were greeted warmly and asked to wait patiently, while his demeanor changed when coming back to us. Maybe it's a race thing, but I know it's intentionally directed. We typically stop in to say hello. But, I had gotten to the point where I would just avoid the office if Jose was not in the window. Jose let us know NoName was an assistant and not a manager. We told Jose about the guys behavior, and he mentioned he had been told the same by other customers and would deal with it. Apparently, it was not dealt with. I went into the office recently to close one of my units. I talked with Jose, and he advised we could leave the unit emptied, cleaned and remove our lock and let them know. I did exactly that, took pictures and video, left the unit lock off and emailed the store my proof of exit. I called in to confirm exiting and NoName answered. I explained I vacated my unit, took pictures, emailed proof, just wanted to confirm. NoName said, "why did you do that? You have to do an exit walkthrough". I let him know that I followed the instructions by Jose. NoName said, "well I'll go walk it and if it looks ok I'll email you". I said thanks and what's your name, he paused, said "well ok I'll let you know and hung up". I immediately called back and no answer. Even if that was not the process, it was definitely convenient for us and he did not have to be rude and hang up on me. They'll be losing a good customer by end of cycle. One person really can ruin the reputation of an entire business. I know it's bigger than one customer and the owner makes enough money to not care about one customer. So, I can take my business elsewhere.

I had 1 day left on my monthly rental and was done looking to return it asap so I don't get charged an extra month ($179.00) I went on the website and I could not get a pick up for 3 days. Which would have put me over my month limit. But I scheduled in enough time and it was on them to pick it up. The end of my month comes and my credit card is charged $298.00 and $64.00. So I call Pods and ask what the!!. The nice lady tells me that since I returned within "their" 3 day grace period I would not be charged the $298. The $64 was for the pick up fee. Which I thought was covered by the $79 they charged me when it was dropped off. So I had to eat that. 3 days later my credit card now had processed the $298 and I had to be on the phone for 15 minutes waiting for an other nice lady to issue a refund. I had asked why was the month fee now $298 instead of $179. Of course she sited the $179 was a 1st month promotional fee and regular monthly rent is $298 So I warn future customers to throughly read the fine print. I read the invoice but the little details they added I missed and that can cost you. Lastly the pod leaked. If I had not taken precautions with my dining room table. It would have been ruined.
