I went in today Sunday 4/13 to make the payment in person and asked if I could go back to my account being charged as usual and I was told no, that my account has been flagged to make payments in cash moving forward...wow, after 5 years of being a faithful customer. This is the 2nd and last disappointment I've had with this facility, as I will be clearing it out late this month. My 1st incident was I late March when I contacted them to see if I can get a larger unit as we were relocating to a different city. I figured I could take advantage of their moving truck but I was denied the truck as it's only for new tenants. Sadly, when we stopped by there to get a few things their truck was parked for the day.

She never acknowledged me while I was waiting. Finally, at 7:00, she asked if I needed help. When I told her I was there to pick up a rental, she rudely informed me that I could have just checked in online. If that was an option, why didn't she mention it 30 minutes prior when I first walked in? Letting a customer stand there for half an hour just to give them attitude and tell them to use the app is completely unprofessional. I am very disappointed with how my time was wasted.

WARNING: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Choose another storage facility…read more Please learn from my mistake and do not be sucked in by promises of cheap storage for the first 3 months. They will bait and switch you and they have horrible customer service. No one was there when I arrived at 1:30pm. I called the phone number, no one answers. I am standing there with 3 movers who are ready to unload, but we can't get past the gate. Eventually someone picks up the phone and rudely says they left to assist other customers (this was a lie, the employee with the poorly drawn on eyebrows was in the back of the office in an employee only area). I say no problem and step inside to fill out paperwork. Right off the bat, this woman had an attitude. She claims I don't have a reservation. I say yes I do, and show her the email. I ask if I can have the driver pull the truck in while we fill out paper work. She smugly says no. Bait and switch #1: she tells me I will have to pay a higher rate for insurance than I was told when I made the reservation. Bait and switch #2: she also tells me I will need to pay 3 months up front (this is fine but it would've been nice if I was informed when I made the reservation and discussed with them over the phone). At this point, I am uncomfortable, annoyed, and getting the impression that she has no interest in helping me. She say that I have an attitude and that I can find storage elsewhere. I understand they have the right to refuse service, but I don't have time to find a new storage facility (moving is stressful enough), so I try to apologize. Asked her what I can do to make this right. She still says no. I tell her to have a wonderful day and inform the moving crew. The movers plead with her because they want to get the job done. No luck, she tells them the same thing: we are not welcome here. We had to call around to other storage facilities and got very lucky to find a cheaper unit at a higher quality facility that doesn't require 3 months payment up front. It all worked out and I'm so glad I didn't give them any of my money. These are terrible people and they don't deserve to be in business.

I didn't get everything I asked for in my original claim, but I got some compensation to offset the many permanent damages to our belongings. The art of negotiating is to create a win-win situation. Not feeling like I won because we lost so much due to the infestations.
