I rented for 3 years and recently moved my stuff out. The service was easy and ending the contract was simple; I just had to pay thru the end of the month (no partial month refunds). I've had a very positive experience with StorQuest at its Hawthorne location. Johana was the staff member that helped me. She was very knowledgeable and polite. She took the time to show me 3 units to find which would best fit my needs and she did this all with a smile on her face and upbeat attitude. Johana you get a 5 star review from me. The facility is secure there are multiple coded entry gates. You do have to purchase a cylindrical lock specific to their units. Elevators are little slow but aside from that I have nothing negative to say. read more

Beware!!! They don't tell you they will raise the rent 50% on you after 4 months. They practice unethical business practices. You have to buy one of their locks. I was convinced I was getting a good deal on a corner unit away from the elevator only for the rent to be raised. You'll get a letter in the mail. They won't tell you this when you sign up. To top it off I got stuck in there elevator for over 30 minutes. Handled it like a champ and they turn around and slap me in the face. I can afford it but I'm not giving these guys more of my money. Cynthia is a terrible manager at this location with poorly trained staff! I do NOT recommend this location. My unit has been broken into multiple times but they do nothing. The cameras are NOT recording 247 so what's the point? I was a walk in with my boyfriend and right away I was greeted and told to have a seat if I wanted to since both girls at the desks were busy. They had all the jams playing which made the waiting a little less tedious. I was offered the lowest prices online with a promotion! I used to store at Public Storage and they can't compare with StorQuest in Hawthorne! Definitely check them out if their lack of Yelp reviews make you hesitant to rent with them. I love the customer service , support , and overall cleanliness of the facility . everyone seems so helpful all the time , stoic , and patient . I have been storing my valuables for over a year safely . they are well accommodating with 20 by 20s if you need that much space . the nice and welcoming lady's even assisted me with moving into my unit . again I have 0 complaints . maybe they should have free cookies or something . hmmmm . the irony is most holidays they give me candy . if you are looking for the best place , the safest place , in a sweetspot of a location than look no further . I have been blessed and thankful to be one of the longtime occupants within this state of the art facility . She was making it really complicated to sign up first i get there and i got quoted $89 for a 5x10 storage and after i get there she says that's the price for a half storage which makes no sense because she asked me what i wanted in specific. Once I'm there she said the the 5x10 storage i want is $111. Than I wasn't trying to pay for insurance so I decided to use my home owners insurance and first i didn't have the declaration document than i got that info for her and she said it can't be a photo of the document than after being on the phone for a few minutes with my insurance agent and after words she said it was ok. When I show it to her she says it won't work because my dad and and I don't have the same last name because I'm a Jr and since we're in the same home insurance policy it's doesn't work because he's not my biological father with the same last time. My father pasted before i was born and my Dad now has been there since i was 1 year of age. She said she couldn't help me and says that i had to pay insurance. So it went from $89 I was quoted to $111 plus $15 for insurance so that's an extra $37 dollars per month not including after 5 months it was going to go up. If i was kept the original quote i was given and they accepted home owner insurance i would have got the storage. Disappointing I was waiting for months for this place to open up. read more

My wife and I were having our house remodeled and needed to remove all the furniture from our house and were trying to decide on a POD or storage unit. We priced both options and decided that the price for the large unit versus the PODs was a much better value. We called the facility and spoke with Cynthia who was very helpful. After the call we went to see the actual unit to determine if we thought all our furniture would fit in the 20' x 10' unit. After viewing the unit we asked if we could hold the unit for a day or so to decide (it was the last large unit they had). They held the unit for 7 days with no money down so we could decide. Ultimately we committed to the rental the next day and the staff were all very nice and helpful. My wife and thank you for such a great experience.
