I know the weather has been bad but 3 days now with no delivery. Amazon and UPS don't seem to have a problem coming here

A package was already running late, but was expected on the 31st. Mail carrier never came that day (we had lots of letters to send). Eventually I checked tracking info online and found that the package was "held for pickup at customer's request." I never requested anything like that. By then the PO was closed, and the next day was a holiday, so 2 days later I took a trip into town just to pick up the package at the PO. They said they couldn't find it. Talked with the supervisor. They said the carrier had marked it as delivered at our address on the 31st. So why was it marked as "held for pickup"? They didn't know, maybe the carrier pressed the wrong button. They said the carrier remembered delivering two packages to our mailbox on the 31st, and that his GPS coordinates were precisely at our mailbox. We double-checked and made sure we hadn't received any package. I went home empty-handed. This afternoon, the 2nd, the carrier delivered the package! I called the PO to try to find out why I was given false delivery information previously. Talked to another supervisor on the phone, who said that the package was mis-sorted to the wrong route on the 31st, and so was redelivered today. So why did the carrier report and remember delivering packages to our GPS coordinates? They apologized for the delay, but no acknowledgement was given for all the wrong information I was given previously. The supervisor on the phone kept interrupting and wouldn't listen. To him all that mattered was that the package was eventually delivered; accountability or respect of customers' time is apparently not considered necessary. To be fair, I understand that the PO can get behind during the holidays. Some delays and occasional mistakes are understandable. What bugs me is when they cover up mistakes with false statements, and then show no concern for integrity. On the plus side, some of the workers are polite and helpful. read more

I would usually not write a review on a Post Office considering that I don't frequent them that much. I have visited this location twice in the last year and The Waxhaw Post Office is by my experience relatively good when it comes to customer service for dropping off packages, picking up packages or mail that's been held. The lines are not long and the agents are able to handle all customer requests with professionalism and courtesy. I see that this location has gotten several bad reviews and I don't discredit them, I am only sharing my opinion. I hope this review helps. read more

We haven't received any mail for three days (last Saturday, last Monday and today). I know our regular mail carrier is out sick because she and I are friends on Facebook. Evidently the substitute carrier doesn't know we exist and I guess all our mail is stacking up at the post office. Thanks for your help. Not that the Post Office really cares - Unfortunately customer service was terrible ! I do know if and when I need to ship something again I will avoid the employee - Marshall ( he needs to go to training with respect to customer service).... OR go to pack and send which is just a short distance up the road. read more

I make a point to go to Mineral Springs Post Office. Some employees at the Waxhaw branch are friendly and helpful but there are a couple that are so unpleasant I try never to go unless absolutely necessary. I've observed them being rude to elderly and limited English speaking customers which is completely unacceptable! Unfortunately this week I had a package that was supposed to be delivered on a Friday to my place of business, got a text notification that it was undeliverable because no one was there (we open at 11). Saturday the same thing. Sunday of course the PO is closed and Monday happened to be a holiday. So first thing Tuesday I go to pick up my package myself and show the text notification and was asked where the paper notification was. When I explained I had only received the text I get attitude. If this were a small business it would be closed within months. read more

There are multiple signs in and outside of the post office of their internet being down and they could only accept cash. One of the clerks told the 3 of us in line about the internet. I said "yes, I see the signs," He then proceeded to skip me and tell the lady behind me to step up. She had a prepaid package and so did I. I spoke up and said, " Mine is also prepaid" He said bring it up. I asked him if he was pissed that I said what I said and he said Oh, no! and I said," It felt like it!!!!" read more

Problems with mail delivery - mail is just left in anyone's box. We are in a new neighborhood and the delivery person just don't pay attention or don't care what mailbox mail is put in. So very annoying because important information still travels through the mail. You have some good neighbors who will deliver to you and others who will not. Very frustrating. read more

I use this post office all the time and have been extremely happy with their customer service! I almost always have a small child with me (18 months, 3 years) and have been teaching them sign language. Everyone at the counter are so kind to them. And, I get the services I need. I've been there when they've been busy and the line moves smoothly. read more

I fully agree with others about this post office. Customer service is horrible and the carriers barely fulfill their actual duties. Due to a year long renovation we had to block our driveway 4 times and they now refuse to deliver our mail until we move our mailbox out to a very busy ( i.e. dangerous)road. One they had us remove our box from a few years ago! Manager had zero issues lying and not following through when asked to look into the situation. read more

The employees are helpful and friendly. I often have no idea which way to send certain items. They always pick the cheapest fastest rate. Service is fast and pleasant in the morning. Don't come after 5pm bc you won't get in. read more

I enjoy going to our neighborhood post office. Each time I've gone the customer service is great and friendly. As a last minute Christmas shopper I went to the post office to ship out a package. I was greeted and offered stamps with a smile! They always circle the survey on your receipt so if you ever go, you can also share your opinion of the service you received by completing the survey. This location is normally busy in the morning and evening. Their hours are 9:30am-5pm. They do have special hours for the holidays. It is a smaller post office with a hometown feel. They also offer P.O. Boxes that are less than the cost of a P.O. Box in the Charlotte area. I am always pleased when going to this post office and it is good to see consistent and familiar faces behind the counter. read more

I stopped in yesterday to mail a package around lunch-time and there were about 3 or 4 people ahead of me. There were only 2 lines open, but the postal workers were friendly and efficient and I did not have to wait long. I am sure if I went in the week before Christmas, things might be a bit busier, but on this visit, I was very pleased with the quick and friendly service. read more

Just have a hard time with people who work in serving the public who have no personality to be dealing with the people. I remembered today why I drive a little farther to take care of my postal needs elsewhere. Today when I asked for a marker to write on my package, because a pen wouldn't write on the type of wrapping my package was in, I was reminded that I was there for postal service and nothing more. read more

Had really bad service here a few Fridays ago. The staff chacka, he was really rude. I asked for exactly what I wanted, had to mail a parcel. He insisted on reading to me a list of mail options and pricing lists. I asked again for what I wanted. He was so insistent that I call the postmaster to complain about other mail staff that do not do this with customers. I was not confident in this guy. I left with my package and mailed it later at another post office. I didn't trust chacka at all to get my parcel off properly. I was told that this location was reported on the local news channel for poor delivery services. I went to main street after my visit and the business owner explained that everyone in waxhaw knows and the post office has a really bad reputation for service complaints. Stay away read more
