This location offers passport services and even accepts walk ins, but beware it may not be guaranteed. It is best to show up as early as you can and just form line. Some people even came with foldable chairs. The line does go along in waves and this is because they prioritize the people that show up with appointments. It is much smoother to come prepared with your forms filled out except for the signature and make your check readily to be sent out with your application. The documentation list is pretty clear and the actual website gives you all the details including the fees to be paid. Once you are inside you are given a number and you continue to wait. It was well organized this past Thursday. Overall, we ended up leaving there close to four hours, it was brutal but we made it out. They have a large parking lot and there is no public bathroom. Come prepared to stand and wait or make an appointment but still expect to wait in line.

To: United States Postal Service - Consumer Affairs Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Supervisor Conduct and Facility Accessibility - Sherman Way USPS Office Date: June 11, 2025 Dear USPS Consumer Affairs, I am writing to formally file a complaint about an incident that occurred at the USPS office located on Sherman Way on June 11, 2025. While I do not contest that I arrived one minute after the official closing time, I believe there are critical contextual factors and improper conduct from a USPS supervisor that require official attention and response. 1. Facility Accessibility and Lack of Notification On this day, I was heading to the Sherman Way USPS office with a 10-minute time margin before closing, which is part of my regular habit to ensure timely service. However, as I turned from Sherman Way toward the entrance to the USPS parking lot, I discovered -- for the first time -- that the entire parking lot was closed off for reconstruction. There were no signs or prior notifications on Sherman Way or near the facility alerting visitors that parking was unavailable. Drivers only discover this when they already attempt to make the turn into the lot. Consequently, I lost several minutes searching for alternative parking -- which is extremely limited in this area -- and ultimately reached the entrance of the USPS office just one minute past closing. While I accept that by the letter of USPS policy, I was technically late, it is clear that this delay was caused not by poor planning, but by a lack of communication from the USPS office to the public. As supervisor, Ms. Gain (name uncertain) bears responsibility for ensuring such temporary conditions are communicated in a reasonable and visible manner. The absence of this caused unnecessary confusion and delay -- not just for me, but presumably for other customers as well. 2. Discriminatory and Offensive Remarks Upon reaching the entrance, I attempted to explain the situation to the person who blocked entry -- a woman who identified herself as a supervisor, Ms. Gain. During our conversation, she quickly noticed my accent and asked, "Do you speak Russian?" I replied that I do, and from that point forward, she spoke to me in Russian. There is nothing inherently wrong with speaking another language. However, when I explained my concerns -- specifically, that the parking situation had not been communicated and had caused my slight delay -- Ms. Gain responded with a deeply inappropriate and offensive comment: "Only Russians always complain. Unorganized people always come late." This statement was not only xenophobic and prejudiced, but it was also a direct attack on my national identity, implying that being Russian somehow justifies poor treatment or exclusion. I am a U.S. citizen and I expect to be treated with the same dignity and respect as any other customer, regardless of my background. Her comment violated my constitutional right to equal treatment and caused me significant emotional distress. 3. Failure to Wear Official Identification and Uniform During this encounter, I observed that Ms. Gain was not wearing a standard USPS badge or uniform. While other employees in the building had visible identification and uniforms, she had only a small tag in her pocket -- barely visible and certainly not professional. When I politely asked her to confirm her name or present official identification, she replied: "I'm Gain. I don't have to show you anything. I'm the supervisor here." This lack of transparency is unacceptable from someone in a supervisory position within a federal agency. Customers have the right to know with whom they are speaking, especially when a complaint or conflict arises. Her refusal to provide credentials or wear a proper badge raises serious concerns about accountability within this branch. Summary of My Complaint and What I Am Requesting To summarize: * I do not dispute that I arrived one minute after closing. However, the unannounced closure of the parking lot directly led to my delay. * I was subjected to a discriminatory comment based on my national origin, which is unconstitutional and deeply offensive. * The supervisor in question, Ms. Gain, did not wear proper identification and refused to provide any official proof of her role or name when requested. Given the seriousness of these issues, I am requesting the following from USPS: 1. A formal investigation into the conduct of Ms. Gain. 2. An explanation regarding the lack of visible signage about the parking lot reconstruction. 3. A clear response about USPS policy on identification and uniform standards for supervisors. 4. A formal written apology from USPS for the discriminatory comment and unprofessional behavior, which caused me moral harm and violated my rights as a U.S. citizen. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Jesus.....it's a mess here. It's pornographicaly expensive, get ready to spend over $300 for a new passport. Even with an appointment you'll be here for at least an hour in a small enclosed space filled with coughing people, crying children and unhappy employees. I just want to travel again this summer so it was necessary to come get a new passport book....quality and price wise, I was told this was the cheapest place to get a passport , compared to AAA and other places but it was still insane, the price. Oh well, Cancun and Bahamas, here I come!

The hours here on Yelp say that this location is open til 7pm, but that is not true! I tried calling at 4:30pm to verify their hours, but, like many of the other reviews say, nobody picked up the phone. I absolutely would not have wasted an hour of my life sitting in traffic on the back of my friend's motorcycle had I known that they'd be closed by the time we arrived! So very frustrating! Please update your hours on Yelp! As of 11/1/23 the current hours are: Monday - Friday 11am-5pm
