What happened to rain or shine? My parents live here and I stay here often to take care of them. This neighborhood often goes days at the time with no mail delivery or mail pickup. I don't know what's going on with 91307, but this is the worst I've ever seen. Do they not have enough carriers? Are carriers going to the beach instead of delivering mail? AVOID LOCATION!!! Employees at this location have terrible attitudes!! Specifically Claudia and Agnes seem to think it's cute to team up and be rude to a customers request to treat my packages with care and keep them upright as it says on the boxes. I asked politely to please keep the package upright and treat with care as they are fragile. Every encounter with each of these employees is met with hostility and just rude service and say that they can't do that. You can't treat a package with care or keep it upright or you just don't want to b/c you are spiteful and rude ? People shouldn't have to encounter terrible workers like these 2 ladies. People here are amazing. It's busy but the line moves quickly. Prices are reasonable when you compare shipping with FedEx and ups who charge a fortune for overnight shipping. This place has that neighborhood feel. Claudia and Agnes are very knowledgeable. read more

The worst! Had an app & online account. Out of the blue account was disabled when I tried to log in. No explanation. Called an 800 Number. Was transferred to the tech dept. On hold 1 hour 15 minutes. Finally hung up. Won't do that again. Talk about incompetent. Ridiculous. read more

Consistently rude employees I'm never coming back. you'd think you're clocking in for a shift yourself the way they refuse to do anything for you. I needed a piece of tape and the lady acted like I had insulted her and told me that next time I need to "do that at home before coming" then charged me for an entire roll of tape. read more

Agnus provided awful service. She wouldn't allow me to have a small strip of tape. It's over 90°. She made me go home to tape a small package and drive back. This is terrible. No wonder everyone complains about the USPS. read more

This location has a pretty good size parking lot and every time I've been there, there's always ample parking. The inside is very old and dated with about 3 counters. So the line can get long when busy. The employees have always been very nice and courteous and don't seem to be in a bad mood. read more

Courtney was amazing. Patient, professional and kind. I had paid 75$ to send a package internationally and it ran into problems. Courtney needed to rectify the situation, which was not simple by any means. She was terrific. Despite all the paperwork and the hassle, she remained helpful and friendly. She really knew her stuff. We have discovered that the internet service for electronic postage for this location only works from 10AM -- 3PM (Monday to Friday ONLY). After that, it goes offline which means you are unable to use your electronic postage or USPS QR code. We live in America and have to deal with this poverty crap. Other USPS locations do not have this problem but we have to venture much further away for service. Why this location does not have a functioning internet service for the entire day including Saturdays escapes my logic. Either their manager Eva is incompetent or does not understand the needs of its local customers. read more

I have to say that Roger's service was exceptional, above and beyond professional. It was crazy busy, and he was the only one at his service desk! I had to move away to write down my info on my package which was totally fine but there was one lady asking where everyone was and clearly Roger did not know because he was doing his job. When it came time to service her, she was then very rude to him; telling him that she already told him the information. I laugh at people that talk down to people because they act so entitled to others that actually service them. I actually deeply did not find it funny at all & probably should have said something but instead I would rather take the time to talk about how great Roger was throughout this ordeal. Thank you Roger for helping me out and even being patient with me when I had to decide if I needed a signature or not, while calling my daughter who is excitedly waiting for her package. This Post Office is staffed by some truly great people! I am here at least once a week with a package to mail or stamps to purchase, and, even with a crazy line out the door, the men and women behind the counter treat each person patiently and cheerfully. I try to do as much of my business online as I can because I know they can get hectic influxes of people, but on those days when coming in is necessary, I know they will take the time to explain procedures such as sending items internationally, or which way is the most economical way to get a package somewhere. While helping people with complex issues, I often notice other employees coming from the back to assist with the line in ways like "if you're picking up a package or have a question" to get the line and wait shorter. Little things like this keep this Post Office running smoothly. And, the smiles help too-- they smile at everyone even if someone is crabby or rude. That cannot be easy in a job like theirs and I do notice it every single time I am there, so thank you!! read more

Just like any other government run entity. A total shit show. They wanted to charge me $50 dollars to put a fragile sticker on my package. And if they break it, they would pay me $50. We should Vote to disassemble all of the Post Office across the country. They are obsolete. Cancel all of those ridiculous pensions. Save that money put it into our schools, so people don't end up becoming postal workers. read more

The Service: I have been there numerous time. Never saw them over more than 2 counters. There is always 5-7 customers waiting in line. I have been trying to get a PO Box there. This is the only post office I will go to. Every employee that has assisted me in the past has been nothing but friendly and helpful. I've shipped with Fedex because they have 24-hour service, but they are also noticeably more expensive. If my schedule allows it, I will go out of my way the go specifically to the West Hills location. read more

Who really enjoys their local post office, right? True. But, they usually do their job properly. I received a notice of an attempted delivery on a package on Friday. Signed it, put it out for the postal worker to pick up on Saturday so that my package would be delivered on Monday. No package Monday; called 1.800.ASK.USPS and was told they get up to two days so I should wait until Tuesday. No package on Tuesday so I get to drive to the Post Office to pick it up myself. Amazingly, I've always had to wait in line here, but I happened to stumble in when there was no line. The woman who assisted me was kind, but made tons of excuses why my package wasn't delivered and did not check my ID, even though I no longer had the notice. I know the service the USPS offers is pretty amazing for no real cost. But I would've picked up my package days ago had I known it would never be delivered. And it makes me wonder, am I getting all my mail? Thank God for electronic billing for the important things! One side note that I really like about this post office: there is a wonderful plaque inside honoring a young man from the community who died while serving in Iraq. This location has gone down quite a bit. They used to be open till 6pm and the last pick up was at 6pm as well during the week. Then it dropped to 5:30pm and now even though they're open till 5:30pm the last pick up is actually 5pm and even then numerous times I've dropped off 10-15 minutes before 5pm and they still didn't get my packages out that day when they were supposed to. It's pretty ridiculous on top of it they're not open until 10am while most other locations open at as early as 8am worse case 9am. As well, I have been getting my neighbors mail lately and recently at least two of my bills never came in my mail and who knows where they ended up. It's very busy usually nowadays and they don't empty the bins inside many times even when they are full to the brim. I used to complain about the service at other locations years back but now this one has caught up with the trend I guess. read more

This post office was right down the street from where I lived and also along the route of my drive to the grocery store and such, so it's conveniently located, though the area can get very congested due to West Hills Hospital being right next door. This is a small post office and there is a one-way only car entrance and one exit, though I've never found this to be a problem. They don't offer passports services here but do have a small set of PO Boxes. If you get there at opening, you'll avoid lines, but lines are common at this location. I would mainly stop by just to drop off packages and so I wasn't phased much by lines. The folks working at the counter are pleasant enough. Overall, it's a nice little post office nestled in the burbs of West Hills. It has its own charm. read more

Typical post office, they have mailboxes, and a long line to stand in. Usually this is the best one in the area if you are trying to mail a package because the line goes fast and the workers are somewhat kind. Better than Woodland Hills Post office by far. I have literally driven by this post office at least twice a week for the past 2 months and never noticed it. It is directly on the corner and near West Hills Hospital. I needed to mail my ballot before election day and this was my perfect opportunity. they do have the drive by drop in mailboxes but since it was the weekend, those mailboxes are closed. I never understand why they lock thise mailboxes. they do not lock other randomly located mailboxes in the nieghborhood during weekends. Anyways, I went to the front of the oost office and dropped my ballot in. Also, please note that the parking lot is one way or else you get death glares from people trying to exit. in my defense, the parking lot was completely empty on a Sunday morning and I was not in their way at all. The best thing about having an automated #PostOffice so close to home: it's never closed. So when you've got a schedule like mine, and you've got special needs, it's perfect to have the #government supporting me. So, regardless of who's in the Presidential White House office, I can still pay my bills when it's convenient for me. There's almost never a time when the machine isn't working. My favorite part about this post office is it seems out of time. It's been there as long as I can remember and is really a Canoga Park landmark. (If you look at the area mural on the wall at Trader Joe's in Fallbrook, this post office is included.) I went a few days before Christmas to mail an urgent package. Fortunately, there weren't a lot of people here but there was a small line. Only one person was working the counter while another helped finish up her shift. This is why people get frustrated at the post office -- not enough people to help and each person's needs take a different amount of time so it requires patience. I had a baby in a stroller with me so it was a little challenging but I made it work. The area is very crowded and there can be a lot of traffic. I got what I needed and this was better than many other post office visits. My box arrived on Christmas Eve so I was grateful. read more

I am totally taken aback by how rude and unhelpful this USPS is. Having been here multiple times, it's always been very stressful dealing with the clerks who seem to be having awful days, everyday and treat customers like complete trash. I came into USPS to mail a picture frame, and there were no pens out-- So I waited to write out the addresses (to and for) until I got to the clerk. Getting there, I was lectured on how I should have done this all beforehand even though there were only 2 other people in line and how I should fill it out and step back in the line. Having done so, I waited back in the line with my filled out parcel and waited to put the picture frame inside, as I believed there would be some papers that needed to go inside the package as well. I then was further lectured for not sealing and packaging my own parcel, in which case the clerk said "it's not my job to package your mail"... I am most definitely abhorred by this behavior and will not be returning ever. read more

came here to purchase stamps and waited in line for a total of 20min. Not bad since it is close to the holidays and it is the post office! i didnt mind the wait at all. I used to hate going to the post office. There is always a long line and I would get confused about which kind of package to use, ect. This post office has completely changed my mind. The coworkers there the friendliest people. The tall dark haired man, the shorter tiny lady and the tall blonde managers feel like your friends. I'm not embarrassed to ask questions to them and know they will tell me the best way to ship my stuff! If I'm not in the area and have to go to a different one I'm kind of bummed out! I also like the fact that this Post Office has a mural painted by a famous artist, Maynard Dixon, who was famous for his southwestern themed paintings. I visit this neighborhood post office nearly every day to ship packages for my business. Since I do my shipping online, my prepaid parcels can be dropped right off at a convenient area just to the left of the normal service windows. So I'm usually in and out in a minute or two. Other times, I will need to ship internationally or have some special service done, so I confront the task of waiting in line. If you come at the right time, the place is literally empty as if it were out of business. Other times, you'll have a 15 minute wait. But this isn't unusual for any US Post Office these days. At least everyone here is friendly, knowledgeable and pretty expedient. The one-way parking lot is pretty big and sometimes busy with people coming or going. If you just need to drop a few letters off, you can avoid parking lot all together and stay to the right when entering the parking lot. There's two large USPS bins available right from your car window. Just inside the main lobby, there are now two self service automated machines with scales and all to handle a lot of the typical services one needs. These service machines are available after hours. There's also a FedEx Express box just outside the building. Sometimes, when I am elsewhere in town and need to drop, I am reminded how happy I am with this local post office. read more

I find the Staff at the West Hills Post Office Branch on Sherman Way to be consistently helpful, courteous and professional, whether there is a long, crowded line of people waiting to be served, or it is relatively quiet. After hearing from neighbors (more than once) that mail had been stolen from mail boxes on our block, I have been bringing our mail and packages in to the West Hills Post Office--always pleased with the friendly assistance.
