US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - West Hills, California

Happy Valentine Day. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about a new (supervisor) manager Annette. I was waiting in a very long line on Valentine Day when Annette came out to the lobby and started taking care of the customers one by one. Very professional! She was very clear and concise, friendly and capable. Thank you for the new addition to West Hills Post Office. read more

This post office has been delivering my mail at different times every day for the past week most of the time it's after 5 o'clock in the evening. Pretty frustrating trying to get things done when mail comes after business are already closed. Where I use to live I would get my mail the same time everyday! read more

I love going to this post office! Besides being close to home, all the employees are super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They keep the lines moving when they get busy and still maintain professionalism in the face of a few unhappy customers. I appreciate all you do. Keep up the good work! read more

As far as Post offices go, this one has been good to me. I have a PO box, and the staff is always accommodating when it comes to picking up my packages. I work 8:30-5pm, and sometimes I get there after closing time, so it's rough to meet their hours during the week... BUT I've had a note left for a locker when available. read more

I had the most horrible experience ever!! These people mess up and do nothing to fix the problem. "There's nothing we can do" is their most famous line. I never order anything online just because I know how horrible these people are about delivering and getting it to people on time so I finally give it a shot and next thing I know my package was sent to the wrong location and then was sent back the processing center. Now I have to wait to them to send it out again. And to request a refund for my delivery, I have to go to the office and fill out a form. What happened to "I'm sorry Ma'am that we messed up so let me refund you for the inconvenience we've put you thru". Customer Service these days is ridiculous. They might as well hire robots. read more

I love this post office, it literally shares a wall with my townhouse community. I've always had the best experience here, everyone is so helpful and friendly. Ok well, there's one lady who kills the joy out of every visit. I just let other people go before me now if my timing in line puts me at her window. Apart from her though literally every single person who has helped me there has been awesome. I'm moving soon and sad this won't be my local post office anymore. read more

Terrible service people work so slow and really don't care if the line goes all around the building

I have been to several post office in the Woodland Hills and Canoga Park areas. I decided to try the West Hills one. Though the lines were long the post office workers moved quickly and got the lines down in no time at all. I was there a long time just getting my boxes and labels together before getting in line and I watched each time the line got long it took no time for people to be helped. I have to mention the young lady who helped me. Her name was Dolly. I was mailing heavy boxes of books. She was terrific, friendly, helpful, efficient and all around good customer service. This is what I have been looking for since I came here. Customer service and common courtesy everywhere seems like a luxury so I am grateful when i receive it. Unfortunately, I am moving but Dolly really made my visit to the post office a good one especially given I was mailing so many heavy boxes. She was ready to help and was getting ready to take a break but waited for me to get the rest of my boxes out of car---terrific! No complaints here. I have to mail some other things so I will be sure to go straight to her if possible. Had to put it on Yelp when i receive good service and meet genuinely pleasant people. Thanks! read more

The post office is like the DMV no matter how hard you try, there will always be a line. BUT the man working front desk is so upbeat, so friendly and genuine it makes having to wait in line just a little better. He should be manager if he's not already, I'll find out his name soon because he deserves recognition! This post office had workers who hated their job and it showed, now this young man works here and you can tell everyone else has stepped up their happy game! Lol! read more

Went Sat at noon to ship a bunch of holiday packages. Only 2 Clerks working but they got us all through remarkably fast. I had a couple of packages shipping international and had questions & custom forms to fill out. They're always incredibly helpful. Self-service kiosks also a good option when boxes aren't too big and you don't have questions. read more

I would say that this post office is one of my favorites. Of course you never get the same level of service at a post office as you would with the smaller private places but they are much more friendly here than some of the other USPS offices I have been to. The lines are also not as long here. I sometimes drive further to come to this location because so many other locations are worse. read more

The worst customer service I have gotten in a long time. I was helped by a man who goes by Kevin Sweeney. He lacked communication skills yet was fully capable of speaking English and responded only to his convenience. Being at this place reminded me why I hate post offices. It's full of ignorant and disrespectful people who will intend to give you a bad day. read more

I sent a certified letter on May 29 and as of this morning the status on usps.com still shows as "Accepted." Call the post office four days later and they have no clue where the letter may be. To top that, they don't seem very concerned either. The days of me supporting to keep the USPS are over. It's time to let this obsolete level of service die out and let some competent companies take over. read more

This PO seems crowded all the time. Fortunately, I don't go in very often. I wish they would have made the parking lot 2 ways as it is a pain to loop around just to drop off mail. read more

Always very busy in here! We were standing in line and they closed all the windows so the post office was closed for 5 min in the middle of the day while they figured out who was going on lunch and who was back! They did have the stamps we wanted though so not a complete fail. But if you don't have time to stand in like for 30 minutes don't go to this one! read more

I had a rather complicated postal issue involving insuring a package. Lucky for me, the West Hills Post Office was not busy that day. The clerk at the counter went way out of her way to help me select just the right Priority boxes. One of the supervisors spent 10 minutes with me, and very friendly as well, figuring out the very complicated insurance issue, helped me weigh the package, create the shipping label and the postage. These postal workers were so helpful. When I asked where I could write a good review, they suggested yelp. read more

Wow this post office was fantastic! The guy working today 9/8/18 was just so competent friendly and fast! Almost no line, because he works so fast. And I love that he offered me a recycled box rather than purchasing a new one! read more

This place is unbelievable. I was third in line and I had to wait 45 minutes. My post office is so much busier and yet I never wait for more than 15 minutes! read more

i come here every time i need to drop off mail or package. it happens usually after 7 am. it is super convenient! i am glad that I live very close by to it. super! read more

This is a good post office. It can get crowded at times, but you just got to go at the right time.

Never had such amazing service at a post office! The young man that works there, whose namew escapes me, was incredibly helpful with all my needs. Helped me with picking out the best boxes and even packed everything for me. I have my own company and the customer service here far exceeds any other post office that I've ever experienced. Although I should have wriitten his name down, I hope his higher ups appreciate such a great employee!! read more
