I asked if she could scan the label I was clearly holding, and she just told me to go pack my item without explaining anything. I asked which box to use since they're different prices, and she said, "Pick a box. I don't know." Super unhelpful. After I packed it and waited in line again, she said, "It's not taped," with a bad attitude. No help, no explanation, just rude. This place is ran by morons! Wbere do I start? My package was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday. I recsived a notification stating It had been scanned/delivered in my mailbox. I go check theres nothing. I call the local office 8601 Canoga no one answers 20 calls later an idiot named Si gh answers and proceeds to tell me he can't help but the supervisor Angel would call me in 15mins. well.. Angel never called. I call back a couple of hrs later and a rude lady Joanna tells me Angel is at another facility and Singh is gone for the day! Wow! I explained the issue telling her I havent received anything. she reads the email back to me as if thats new to me and tells me with an attirude that im missing it that it should be there and if it says it was delivered it should be there. Great! no help. Two days later, to my surprise! an empty manila envelope is in my mailbox OPENED w stickers and writing stating no contents inside/ openned. So, why did I get a notification stating my package was delivered on Tue? why the lies? Why claim to have scanned/delivered it. I go over to the office on friday and the ding dong "supervisor" Angel all he does is excuse everybody in his office telling me stuff happens and literallly telling me "oh well". Zero accountability for the false scan/ terrible customer service/ the lies/ theft! Lastly he makes up a new story telling me someone turned in the empty envelope. I rarely leave reviews, but today's experience at USPS left me speechless--and not in a good way. I walked into the post office fully prepared, as someone who spends nearly $1,000 a month on USPS services through EDDM and Priority Mail. I had one simple question about measuring and weighing an item, and instead of getting even a baseline level of customer service, I was met with pure indifference. Ben, the employee who helped me, could not stop glancing at his watch like it was a countdown to his escape. His body language screamed, "I don't care." He looked so uncomfortable and distracted, I honestly thought he either had to use the bathroom or had mentally clocked out 30 minutes before his shift was over. I had a package I was trying to ship back via ground, and I asked what it would cost. Before I could even finish my sentence, he cut me off and said, "Well, you have to put a label on it first or write on it." I told him I had a marker ready and just wanted to know what it would cost. Instead of helping, he started making grunts behind his mask, lifting his hand to check his watch every five seconds, and clearly acting like I was keeping him from something more important. He finally put it on the scale and said it would start at $28 and change and go up. I said, "Okay, great. So what's next?" and he replied, "Well, then I have to measure it." I looked at him and said, "I can see you're clearly disturbed. Is something going on?" He answered, "The guy's going to close the door," and I told him that was fine. But it was obvious he wanted me gone more than he wanted to help. So I left. I decided people like him are not worth my time. I'll take my business to UPS. This is exactly why USPS continues to lose ground. In the private sector, someone like Ben wouldn't last a week. But because USPS is a protected government-run operation, accountability is nonexistent, and customer experience is treated like an afterthought--if it's even considered at all. USPS, you are on life support for a reason. Encounters like this are exactly why people cheer on your eventual downfall. If I could do 0 stars I would. They wouldn't deliver my package yet USPS delivered the same package the day before. After going in person they diverted me to call and talk to a supervisor. After waiting an hour on hold I talked to the supervisor who was no help and said they would call me back before the end of the day to ensure my package would not be returned to sender. What a surprise no call back and they don't pick up the phone past 3:50pm. Now I am without a package that I have been waiting for weeks now. read more

Worst post office. Been coming here for years but that will end now. I use selling apps on my phone, one of which I forget to check weight on when posting an item so a purchase will have an incorrect prepaid weight every once in a while. I weigh packages before shipping and if it's off, I will go to USPS to pay the postage difference ahead of time so I don't get charged a fee on the app. This happened Friday so I went to pay the difference. Condensed version: I was told they don't do that and I'd have to cancel what I had and repurchase. I told him I didn't want to do that as the customer already paid and I'd have to cancel the entire transaction and request they purchase again; I'd rather eat the difference than impose on a customer. I informed the man working I had paid the difference a few times before. He actually told me "No you didn't. If you did, who helped you because it wasn't me or him" (pointing to the man beside him) and claimed what I was asking for was impossible. I said I didn't know anyone's name. The other man demanded to see my receipt for the last time and I said I didn't have it on me. Then he "explained", very condescendingly, they can't charge a difference because they didn't know what had already been paid. I said I could show him and he refused; both he and his coworker getting more aggressive with me throughout this conversation despite not being able to explain how I've fixed it in the past and basically calling me a liar. Been using this post office for my PO BOX for about 2yrs for my business. I've never had an issue until about 2wks ago. My package was delivered 12/3 but was never put in my box. When i spoke to the manager he said he would look. I never heard from him. I went back to speak to him again and there has been no resolution. So this means a worker stole my package because how does it disappear once it has reached the post office? I had to contact the company to send my order again. Once my packages get delivered it takes them over 3 days to deliver it in my box. When my box fees are due they never hesitate to send multiple payment notices but it's ok that my package is lost.. I use the post office so these things don't happen.. customers be aware!! I'm so disappointed in the lack of care by the manager. read more

This stations drivers are useless, they never bother to deliver our packages on the weekend or on time. Everything shows up at least a day late because our driver never shows up. Never had this problem anywhere else I have worked but for some reason this stations drivers like to go home early and just deliver our mail the next day. I wish there was another option every time I get something shipped via USPS its a problem. Their tracking is just a lie it never shows up on the day its "out for delivery" always shows up the next morning even though it went out at 6am. Just got a notification "could not deliver" I have been at location from 8am- 6pm and our driver never came by, my packaged said it would be delivered by 8pm why am I getting a notification at 6pm that they could not deliver. The drivers do not reliably show up to places of business to pick up packages. When you finally get the driver to pick up your mail, they do not scan the packages. 50% of the time customer's run tracking on orders and it shows the package has not been picked up. Then as a business we have to resend the same product again. Half of this time the original order never arrives. I work with the post office in Lake Park FL and they are amazing, reliable and do their job with a great attitude. Packages arrive to customers promptly. So I am left to believe the issue is the Canoga Park location. Really dissatisfied. read more

To their credit, parking at this location is ample & free, and the priority/express mail packaging shelves were sufficiently stocked. Unfortunately, the service is terrible. I had the displeasure of dealing with two employees, both of whom had the personality of a cracked brick. I dismissed the rudeness of the first clerk as I was only buying a roll of packing tape from him, but the sullen, silent lady who shipped my package input an incorrect zip code. I noticed the error after returning to my car and had to go back in and wait for someone (an equally indifferent supervisor) to come out from the back (the line was out the door, as they only had 2 clerks at the counter). Neither the supervisor nor the clerk who mistyped the zip code offered an apology or any indication that they cared that I was inconvenienced (and that my package may have eventually been lost due to their mistake). My main complaint is that the self-service kiosk wasn't able to accept my package (the only transaction it was able to perform at the time, according to the main screen, was the purchase of a book of stamps). I specifically chose this location because of the self-serve kiosk, as everyone knows that postal employees are slightly below DMV workers on the "pleasant to deal with" scale. No matter how far out of my way I have to go, I will avoid this location in the future since the clerks (and machines!) are tremendously incompetent. read more

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! i update my experiences with this post office as this is the 4th stolen (or 'lost', but in my opinion stolen) expensive package this year, after 15 years of no problems. ALL my shipments are signature required and disappear after they have been scanned in as being distributed for pickup...which means they are in the hands of postal employees and a notice needs to be put in my box for pickup. at that point the package disappears within the post office, only postal employees there, and is never seen again. i have no idea who has been hired that is doing this. i've been told by the managers at this branch that this year they have a lot of new hires who have been having issues with scanning. scanning is one thing but packages that disappear is another. i will never use the u.s. postal service for shipping anything of value again, only ups or fedex. i am a staunch liberal and believe in keeping the postal system strong...or DID believe so. NOW i am firmly a believer in privatizing as much of the USPS as possible since i have never experienced this kind of theft or disappearance of merchandise with a private shipper. as soon as my amazon or other major retailer package is stolen/disappeared, i call the retailer and am given an immediate refund. they do not file police reports. the usps has a list of claims filed at each post office, but apparently does nothing about this situation. it's one of those things that your government pays for by the usps paying claims with TAXPAYER money for items their employees are stealing (or losing, but all MY packages would have been 'lost' within the post office itself as they go to my box, and are in contact ONLY with postal employees, so i personally do not see how they can be 'lost' vs stolen). i would heartily suggest if you have anything of value coming, even if insured, do NOT use the usps. they can easily see a small box containing something of value, and see that it comes from a retailer such as QVC or amazon, where a postal claim will not be questioned. free merchandise. read more

if this is the west hills post office at 23055 sherman way west hills . This is the WORST POST OFFICE EVER!!!!!!!!! Every time I go there which now is occasionally because of the bad customer service they always give bad customer service. They wont let you pick out your stamps, they take forever in a day. I forgot what happened last time but the post office clerk was rude i called her manager and nothing was done about it. I believe she wouldnt give me change. This time I needed to mail a letter asap. And I reopened it i forgot to put something in the envelope and they wouldnt give me a piece of tape to reseal it it was a small letter size envelope all i needed was 2 small pieces of tape. They wanted me to buy tape. I said im not spending 10.00 to get 2 small pieces of tape. Rude RUDE RUDE LIKE ALWAYS. I wish i could remember what happened the last few times i went but it was so long ago because of the crappy service I rarely go there now. I moved into the area recently and had a very good experience at my Canoga Park post office. Minimal wait in line, asked if they had any holiday postage stamps yet. The clerk brought out about 6 choices for me to look at, each with a unique holiday theme. Bought a book of very nice forever holiday stamps and was on my way. Great selection of Hallmark greeting cards and shipping material also! read more

Well, all things in perspective. The Canoga Post Office is "As good as it gets" in this area. On each of my visits, the staff was efficient and friendly. As far as the inside and outside grounds both are well maintained for a government facility. If only the hours were longer, until 6:00 PM. I am not bothered by the homeless people living outside in the bushes, "There but for the grace of G_d go I" or even you. A large number of people live paycheck to paycheck, have no savings or an emergency fund, are overloaded with debt, and work for companies where you can easily be fired at will. By the way, homeless people are not aggressive, they do not approach anyone or beg for money, so no fears there. read more

This particular offices' wait time seems to be significantly less than some of the other's I've been to. Wait time is the biggest issue among Post Office reviews. Parking isn't a problem. As a mater of fact, they have drive through mail drop off. Always a plus and only seen at one other location near by. Every time I have gone they had all supplies out and ready for customers to select from. Other locations seem to always be missing envelopes, packaging supplies etc. Never had a concern about the staff here. Overall, I rate this facility as above average. read more

This post office is basically just like every other post office... God-awful. Case in point, this morning, the rush is always in the morning as people go to work and during lunch time. How many people do they have working the windows for the morning rush? ONE person at 9:00 am. One. And, go figure, the line was past the door, into the lobby. Just absolutely ridiculous. Then you have the random workers coming from the back, doing something, then racing (as quickly as a turtle can move) to the back again. Another thing that REALLY pissed me off (pardon my French) is their passport processing. They should just not do passports if they don't want to do passports!! My wife and I tried over and over and over and over again to get the passports ready for my two year old, traveling to Canada. Both of you have to be there, which is a pain for two working people. One day, we took off of work, showed up 30 minutes before the closing time... the guy was there but wouldn't process it because he said he sent the "envelope" (of the day's passports in) in already. WHAT!? This lazy guy can just arbitrarily finish early and call it a day? The next time, again, we took time off of work to both be there (as did others in line) and we were standing there right in the middle of the hours waiting and waiting. Someone finally popped up to the window, "Oh, we're not doing passports today." HUH!? It says they are, according to the hours. Of course, we "vocalized" our disapproval - to which the guy couldn't care less. Then we got smart (since their "hours" clearly don't apply) and kept calling to make sure someone was going to be there. Finally, we found a day that someone was going to be there... took off of work... showed up... and I'll be damned if they didn't close it early again!!!! It took FOUR TIMES to finally call and show up and finally get the passports sent in. It's just absolutely ridiculous. The post office wonders why people go to UPS and FedEx instead? They clearly don't give a damn about the customer. It's a business where it's "take it or leave it, so what," and the attitude shows - especially at this place. read more

Post Office... review? Yes!!! This particular office has a big parking lot, they always have 4-5 people working the window stations. The wait time is about 5-10 minutes max. They don't have the passport office selection anymore. The lobby is always fully stock with varies of shipping supplies. Everybody below is correct. Trying to call is just a game for me now. Yesterday I just kept redialing after Verizon forced a hang up after so many rings, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. This morning I started at 10:30am, giving everyone a chance to get in to work and get the day started. I'm on redial #5, trying to break the highest score for most times called and never answered! Oh, and this is for my bridesmaid dress that was rush shipped to me by the bride herself. The wedding is in two weeks and I'll need alterations. I've been trying to retrieve my package since Wednesday of last week. I work M-F 9-6 and have about an hour and a half commute from this office, making it impossible to visit during lunch. We were out of town last Saturday and unable to come in during Saturday hours. It's just been a real pleasure trying to work with this post office. read more

Have had many packages stolen (supposedly delivered to mail locker). It says it was delivered in locked mailbox but that is never the case. I have a 50/50 chance of packages being delivered or stolen when companies use USPS services. This never happened with other USPS branches but it's this location specifically that someone steals packages. read more

They're beyond slow, can't even get a receipt right with tracking. I shipped out 8 items and my receipt only has one item and one tracking but charged for all 8. They also told me that my items might arrive broken after packing them the way they told me I had to packs them. They also refused to stamp it fragile. This was a man clerk #18. Also before helping me, he was chatting away asking about another worker before telling me "next". Now my customers are freaking out because I don't have a tracking for them. If I can give this place 0 stars I would ! One of the employees named Noami, has the worst attitude and customer service ever. I'm on the phone with customer service to get ahold of her manager to inform them to look back into the cameras at 3:50 pm ok February 8 for the way she spoke to me and shook her head at me threw the sign on the desk and went to break just to not answer my questions about where my package is. My home USPS is Porter ranch and I went there earlier today and the manager there advised me to come to Canoga office where the mail gets sent here since it's the main office. She rudely told me there is no mail for me here. I asked to speak to her manager she said my manager isn't Porter ranch's manger and I said I never asked to speak to Porter ranch manager I asked to speak to hers since she didn't want to help me out. I've been chasing down my package for the past two weeks and now they sent it back to China AGTER j had been waiting for this package since September. Let me tell you how many times I called them today and didn't get ahold of anyone. Everyone working here seems depressed and unhappy with their job they should not be in customer service if this is how they are treating their customers.
