All I see are bad reviews about the postal service, but I can honestly say I've never experienced any problems at the Cernon office. I've never lost any items mailed and I've always been satisfied with the customer service, but I must say that the young man, Travis, is a star. Probably the most polite, friendly, and helpful person that I've encountered there. He certainly gets an A+ from me for his outstanding service and is a great face to represent your office. read more

It used to be that when I walked into the Cernon Street Post Office in Vacaville the vibe wasn't good. I always felt like I was bothering the gal at the counter. But, I'm happy to say that that woman is gone and the customer service is excellent. USPS employee, Sua always greets customers with a smile and is always happy to help. I go here to ship things pretty often. It seems as if a lot of the employees hate their job and just looked drained. I somewhat understand because I see how customers talk to the workers and it could be sad to see sometimes. I have seen Sua a couple of times and she is just great. Always has an amazing smile on her face and seems to love her job and is super polite along with answering to people with kindness while they could be quite rude to her. ZERO STARS!!!!!! Paula and Patricia have got to be the worse employees in the City of Vacaville! I'm sure the only reason they still have jobs is because it's Union and nearly impossible to get fired. The first encounter was when I boxed everything up and then went up to the front and Paula said, "Oh no about six months ago we stopped giving out tape for free. You have to go buy tape." So I proceeded to buy tape and box up my package like normal. I politely stood through the line again before she said, "oh no, you can't ship that." She saw what I was putting in the box! Today, I was the only one there. The gray-blonde haired lady (Paula) straight up rolled her eyes at me when I asked if they could tape a label for me since I was carrying my 2-month-old and was like, "I should charge you for this." Total power trip and unnecessary bad attitudes. Also, Patricia, throwing around, "I'm a government worker" can only get you so far. News flash, you work in a city full of Air Force (guard and reserve as well) members and Police Officers!! Helloooo! Hate to break it to you ladies, but when you decided to work for the government, you are representing them. I am ashamed that you treat people with such disrespect making others feel like a burden when they come into your place of business. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Rude and terrible customer service given especially by the postal worker Paula, so rude offered no help and when asked about tracking a package she just passed it off its at the bottom of receipt. The ONLY reason I came to this location was it was on my way to work. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE I would rather drive out of my way to get better service at the other Vacaville post office. Pretty much always rude, short, curt. Like they got that sweet government job they can't get fired from, so why go out of their way to be nice? Have lost my mail more than once and often delivers mail very late. Cannot count on these people. They just don't care. read more

Every time I come in here I seem to get the same woman with blonde hair, and she is quite possibly the rudest person in customer service I've ever come across in my life. I come here pretty often to send things to my parents, but seriously if she's going to be the one that is ALWAYS there, I'd rather take my business elsewhere. If you have a question, her responses are, without fail, full of attitude. The last time I went, I forgot to tape my label onto the box. I simply asked if they had a clear sleeve I could put it in (which I know they do because my work orders them from the post office every month) and she rudely said, "you have to buy your own tape." Not even answering my question. I mean I work in customer service, and I know dealing with customers all day can be draining but GOOD LORD she hates her life. Granted there are other employees who seem to be a lot nicer. Unfortunately I haven't had any experience with them. I always seem to get the rude lady. read more

I've been coming to this location because of poor service at the Peabody office since a very stupid clerk asked me the same stupid questions she heard me answer to the greeter while waiting in line & was stupid enough to insist that I get out of her line since I refused to answer each question again & the stupid mgr on duty backed her up. I was treated good somtimes up until yesterday when clerk P**** speaking about a 100 mph repeatedly telling me to push the red button without me reading & understanding why ,then she said "I have 2 repeat this all day" which I found her demeanor very rushing & rude. So today ***** seemed to be stalling as she pretended to be buisy until the exact moment that clerk ******** said next person then suddenly ***** takes the lady behind me. Now clerk ******** is asking me a dozen questions even & after I told her that I only wanted to mail that package regular mail she lied & said "we have to ask u all those questions which is Bull since nobody else there asked that many & usually they just asked do u want stamps & maybe another question so ******** & ***** were very unprofessional . read more

Staff not so helpful need better customer service or provide more options. Maybe teach staff how to be more helpful.

3.49 for tape really I know they have tape that they use that is free. They pretty much charge you for everything even for labels so you either pay extra for a piece of paper or try your best to write on the box and tape. Also avoid having David franklin as your teller. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. It sucks that this is the most convenient post office to go to since it's close to where I live. Simply asking a question since customer care told me I can get what I needed from a field office. The biggest most unnecessary attitude from the dark haired lady. I think this office needs some customer service training. Absolutely the worst. Most of the time I just need stamps so there isn't much to even converse other than handing over cash and leaving. I did forget and didn't know about a couple things I needed to do for a package and the blast of attitude I got was so uncalled for. I had interacted with her a year back when I picked up mail from a vacation hold and her attitude was just as sour then. I even paid her a complete thinking she might have had a bad day. Thank you so much to BILL for trying so hard to find my package that was missing somehow once DHL dropped it off. For a few days in a row, he searched through packages and on the final day that I absolutely needed my stuff, he received them. He went above and beyond to help locate my missing box. I love this post office! I have been going here for 27 of my 30 years on earth. This location was saved from the USPS scale down/chopping block and the mail delivery/pickup services were transferred or rather consolidated with the Peabody Road location. As a result, I never have to wait long to be helped at the counter, two to three people at the worst during peak times. All of the postal workers are really friendly and helpful in my experience. I ship A LOT of packages so I'm glad this conveniently located location was saved. Now if only the post office could fix its fiscal woes.... read more

Typical old neighborhood post office... Avoid lunchtime if possible. Slow when busy, but always friendly. There's some genuinely nice folks working here. Get to know them by name and you'll always be greeted with a smile. ;-) read more

Beware!! Your mail will be stolen here. The people that work here are disgusting and should be ashamed of themselves. I bought a $200 gift card for a friend that lost their job during COVID and due to an error was denied unemployment, he was really struggling and I sent this to him to buy groceries. I sent it in a card and walked in and handed it to the blonde older lady because the blue bins were overflowing outside. That was a month ago, my friend never received it and it was mailed to a P.O. Box in Napa so I know for a fact it was stolen at the post office. I spoke to someone at the post office who essentially told me it was possible it was stolen there and to send it with a tracking number next time. I have also since told friends/ family members who have said their mail was missing or never arrived after sending it out here. I lost my mails couple time at this post office. First time, I dropped off the mail with a check inside at the post office. The mail did not come to the destination after a month. 10 days ago, I dropped off an envelope with prepaid label in the mail box outside the post office and until now I still cannot track that. I took a letter in yesterday to send priority. It had to make it to it's destination by Tuesday. So we picked a Tuesday, 3 pm guaranteed delivery time (a little pricey). Just found out that it arrived today, which is amazing. Thank you USPS! The person who helped me with the priority mailing was amazing, too. So helpful and friendly. Didn't get annoyed with all my questions. The USPS is the best! read more
