I arrived around 1:10pm, and the older white male security guard checked the couple in front of me without issue. However, when I walked up and said, "I have an appointment for her" (I had my child with me), he took huge issue with that and said angrily, "Is she going in alone?" and I responded "No" and he said, "Well, then you should say 'I have an appointment'" in a very rude and loud tone. I felt extremely targeted. I do not know if it is because I am a young woman or because I'm Asian, but his treatment towards me was so different from how he treated the man and woman in front of me. I do not know exactly how I could have offended him by saying "I have an appointment for her", clearly in reference to my child who was with me, but it felt like my very existence was offensive to him. I felt on edge and unsafe the entire time I was there due to my experience with this rude and belligerent security guard. He should be fired, or at the very least given sensitivity training. Why treat a young mother with a 1 year old as if she is the crap on the bottom of your shoe? What exactly did I do to warrant such an angry reaction? I am so disappointed with my experience here due to the security guard who seems like he bullies people who he deems weak just for the fun of it. I have submitted a feedback form to Social Security about my experience with him.

From Daniel who was in the office Thursday afternoon to "Micki" (?) on the phone Thursday afternoon to Ken the supervisor to the lady working the front counter on Monday morning, to whoever was answering my zillions of panicked emails and comments on their website, everyone was so understanding, helpful, and efficient. This was problematic as I am eligible for a tax credit. Because of the incorrect name, they could not revise my property tax bill. I was advised to pay the incorrect amount under the old property owners name and I would eventually get a credit back for the amount I over paid. I was not happy but I did it. Almost 10 months went by from my purchase date, and they finally corrected the name, but have still not adjusted the property tax due, and cannot find the two emails I sent to them with the completed paperwork for the exemption. They have further stated that I might need to continue paying the incorrect property tax, because they have not processed anything. Glenn Zook, the Assessor recording leaves a very nice voice mail message about his staff providing excellent customer service. I beg to differ and would love to have a conversation about their customer service.

In the short time I was here I saw water coolers, weed eaters, several office chairs, LOTS of laptops and computers, keyboards, desks, bookshelves...and so much more that listing it all just isn't possible! A note about the computers/laptops - they are in good used condition, but have been "wiped" of all programming and would require purchasing new software that would normally be included in new computers. If you're looking for office supplies like I was today, stop in here for awesome deals on many gently used things. There was plenty of parking. I was directed through text to "check-in" online once I arrived on site and given a QR code to scan at the kiosk for my ticket number. When it was my turn, my ticket number appeared on the screen in the front of the room and I was also texted. Once I went to the window, I showed the necessary documents to the employee, she gave me a receipt and was told I would get my new social security card in 2 weeks. I was out in less than 5 minutes. I have been trying since the beginning of this year to get what should be simple documentation processed, and after multiple attempts, I still have not been able to get the help or resolution I need. Today, September 9, 2026, at approximately 9:57 AM, I specifically asked to speak with a supervisor because the issue has been going on for months. Instead of contacting the supervisor or explaining a clear process for speaking with one, I was repeatedly denied the opportunity. I even asked what I needed to do in order to speak with the supervisor, and they still would not call or notify the supervisor that I was requesting assistance. What made the experience even worse was the security guard on site today. The interaction was extremely rude and disrespectful at a time when I was simply trying to get assistance with an issue that has remained unresolved for most of the year. It is unacceptable that someone can spend months trying to resolve a documentation issue and still be unable to get meaningful assistance or even speak with a supervisor after specifically requesting one. People come to the Social Security Administration because they need help with important matters, and they deserve to be treated respectfully and given clear answers. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have had with a government office. I hope management at the Concord location reviews how situations like this are being handled and takes these complaints seriously.

I got there at 8:45 and had started filing with the clerk before 9am. She was very nice and even complimented me on my paperwork. I was walking back to my car by 9:45am. When I got in line, there were only 3 people in front of me. When I walked out, there were at least 15 people in line. When people say "get there as early" they mean it. If you're going to file for divorce, have them filled out before you go or go directly to the family law facilitator. As my divorce has literally just started, I will update my review as I go through the process.

I left feeling that my relationship with my son was significantly reduced despite my willingness to continue being a committed, responsible parent. Throughout the proceedings, I repeatedly heard decisions being made in "the best interest of the child." As a father, I struggle to understand how limiting a loving, capable father's time with his child serves that goal. From my perspective, the family court system gives judges tremendous discretion, and it feels like there is very little accountability when parents believe a decision is unjust. This review reflects my personal experience in this court. I hope the system continues to improve and places greater emphasis on preserving strong relationships between children and both loving parents whenever it is safe and appropriate.
