I went in for notary and had the most racist encounter with the notary working there. She keeps on asking the staff on how to fill the form. She stop each time she pick up a pen to write something. It took over 30 minutes for her to sign a piece of paper and stamp it and does it wrong. Then continue to act like she knows what she doing. We decide to walk away because she wants to over charge us after the whole encounter. We went here for years and had great experience with previous crew. This new crew is horrible. The sad part is when we went to the notary across the street from them, the owner told us a lot of people come to him for notary because of the horrible treatment they encounter at this place. It validates that we are not the first that got mistreated and won't be the last. Glad to say we will never go there ever again. read more

Staff and owner insist on lying instead of just refunding my money on something that was supposed to be free. I did show my receipt. The lady ignored it and was rushing because it was busy. I used to like this particular ups but I came in with a package first thing this morning for opening. I smiled at the lady opening the door because I figured yay, she would open the door and I can get my heavy package in. It would have been nice if this was the kind of door that you can push into but it was the kind you had to pull. No acknowledgment, Instead, all she did was unlock the door and go right back to the counter. There were 2 employees actually who had zero interest in any assistance other than scanning and budgeting their personal quota of verbal interaction. So while I struggled to pull the door back and drag my package in, the employees just watched and did nothing. They seemed like the kind of people who would just watch someone lose consciousness and walk away instead of calling 911 ( you know...the useless kind) So if you're the manager/owner, it won't hurt you to train your employees basic customer service. Or maybe during the hiring process, screen for better human beings rather than bots. This morning shift is your "D" team. They're hurting your business, not helping it. read more

Went in for a live scan last week to be able to get a volunteer badge for my daughters school. It hasn't been approved. I called to ask if I could verify the ati number but they told me the doj system was down. I needed it back by tomorrow morning. It was either not submitted or done incorrectly. Others have been approved in the same time I've been waiting, so it's not a doj system issue. In their system it doesn't even show my scan at all. Pretty upset by this. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the woman who helped me was friendly and the store was clean. read more

She also provided precise fingerprinting info regarding the possible retake because my fingerprints irregularities. Destiny was very helpful, and customer focus. Every time that I have used UPS to return items, I have been completely satisfied with the customer service. I usually do not have to re/package items that I'm returning to Amazon, because UPS packages them for free. Not so, with TEMU RETURNS. When I tried returning a package to TEMU, I was told I needed to package the item. However, they sold me a packing bag for $3.25 and shipped the items back to TEMU. All in all, the transaction was fast and evidently efficient, TEMU quickly emailed me that they had received confirmation of my sending the items back at UPS. read more

I went inside, waited in line for at least 5 minutes, and got helped with sending one of my packages. The service was very exceptional. However their printer was broken for outside use. It was actually funny that I overthought on printing out the shipping label. They told me to email it to them which I did but i didn't do it right lol. All in all, I finally figured it out by just copying and pasting the label and emailing it to them as I went to a different UPS store (I'm stupid :P) back at home. Generally like this location but today, short haired woman was condescending and treated me like I've never shipped anything via UPS in my life or returned an Amazon order. She embarrassed me and chastised me in front of other customers and even her co-worker said "she can send it back that way." Clearly she is new and needs to be trained and managed to be better at her job. read more

I've visited this store multiple times due to my Amazon returns. Ammita and Abriana ALWAYS greet me with a smile. They both are very professional and have exceptional customer service skills. Sadly, I can't say that about one particular employee who works there. She's rude and lack customer service skills. Back to Ammita and Abriana. Horrific customer service led by an owner (Raja) who appears to be equally incompetent. Background: I spent ~30 mins waiting for two customer service people (Melissa and another clerk) to serve THREE customers. Keep in mind, there were maybe 5 packages to be processed ahead of me the whole time. When I finally made it to the front of the line, I was lectured by one of the clerks for bringing USPS boxes to a UPS store (there are SO many more empathetic ways to deal with customer ignorance) and then Melissa scolded me for waiting inside the store (I didn't get the benefit of the doubt about the fact that they don't want more than three customers inside the store at the same time). Silly me -- I was standing dutifully on the social distancing sticker on the floor (with my mask on) thinking I was respecting everyone's health. It's hilarious to me that, rather than treating me respectfully as a customer who waited 30+ minutes to be served without complaint, I was treated rudely when finally served. I went to USPS to drop off my packages; and despite the line, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. After leaving the USPS, I called Raja to discuss what happened and how I'd like to offer constructive feedback; instead, he accused me of cutting the line (which made absolutely no sense given I had been waiting in the store the entire time and a line of 8 people had formed behind me outside the store) and told me that I was foolish for thinking I could drop off USPS packages at a UPS. Can't make this stuff up. Thanks for not listening, buddy! Moral of the story: this UPS store is less friendly and less efficient than USPS?!? read more

A neighbor recently moved to Escondido, but left multiple items -- photo albums, books, artwork, etc. -- behind that needed to be shipped there. We packed them in four storage boxes but weren't sure how secure they were. Mellissa took charge, noting several boxes needed more support and put them in sturdier ones. Terrible, terrible, terrible service!! I went into this UPS store to mail my books back. You would've thought it was an easy process. As I waited patiently my turn I went up to the counter and Melissa was suppose to help me. She was rude as hell! She looked at my books, set it down and started to walk away. As she was walking away I asked what do I need to do on my part. While her back was turned towards me she said, "just pay for the packaging and shipping label. Then, she helped another customer that just walked in. She didn't say shit to me and had me standing there!! I waited about 5 minutes and I said, "Excuse me ma'am, about how much longer will you take?" Melissa said, "it'll take about 4-5 minutes, you can leave." Apparently, she's able to pick and choose who she wants to serve. If I was the business owner I'd be extremely embarrassed and regretful to have hired a person like her!! She was TERRIBLE!! I will NEVER go there again!! So I left and went to Fed Ex. Even though they were busy they gave me AMAZING customer service and it ONLY took 5minutes. I needed to get a document notarized and found a ton of sketchy companies that did the service. On yelp, they have notarization that can come to your door as soon as you need them. I've only had two notaries come to my home but I prefer not to have too many guests since I like my solitude. Was lucky that the one guy that was working in the morning was able to notarize my forms. I was worried that whoever took care of that stuff was off or something. I was in and out within ten minutes. $10 flat. read more

I visit this UPS Store often as it's very near to Freeway 80 on my way to Sacramento for work. I have used their variety of services ranging from simple notary to full color printing. I am particularly impressed with their faxing and scanning capabilities which are extremely efficient and user friendly. The staff are always incredibly patient and helpful and don't hesitate to answer any questions I had. Not sure why they only give you the option to log in to the computer (which costs extra) or have them take your storage device to print a document. Their printers have USB ports but they won't let you use them? FedEx provides more free extras and is less of a hassle. read more

I just had the pleasure of meeting and doing business with one of the nicest, most helpful, and dedicated customer service representative. Her name is Melissa, and she is awesome. I'm not going to bore you with all the gory details of trying to ship a 20+ pound air filtration unit (for a warranty exchange) to Austin Texas. Suffice to say at the end of the day and slew of phone calls, and estimates from the USPS, they were all out of my price range. So, I had given up AND WAS GOING TO KEEP THE SQUEAKY UNIT! Melissa didn't give up though. She kept at it until, by adjusting a larger box down, was able reduce the cost by another $18 off of the best bid I'd been given. Now for the kicker! The reason I went ahead with the deal, wasn't the $18 savings. It was still more than I had planned on. But because she took the extra time and worked so hard on my behalf (it was obvious she was enjoying the challenge and she wasn't going to give up until I was satisfied), I said yes and we shipped it out! And far from being stressful, we both had a heckuva good time in the process! read more

I'll mainly be reviewing the shipping part of The UPS Store, since I have yet to use their other services. I've used these guys many times to ship several items out that I either sold online or had to mail out for various reasons. The staff here are very friendly, helpful, and know what they're doing. I've had several people, in the past, compliment how neat and secure their packages were when they received them. I guess to fully get an idea of this place, I would have to compare it to USPS (aka the Post Office). Price wise, I would definitely say that the Post Office is A LITTLE BIT cheaper (unless you're mailing books, then USPS tends to be a lot cheaper in that regard) to ship packages out; however, the USPS' shipping price doesn't automatically include the shipping insurance (for the cost of the item being sent) as well as package tracking. When you add those two services onto the shipping price, it'll be about the same as USP. Shipping things with UPS already includes package tracking and insurance with the shipping price. Plus, they'll notify you once the package is delivered. The delivery dates with UPS is usually spot on as well, but it tends to vary whenever I have shipped with USPS in the past. Sometimes they're right on time (meaning they package is usually delivered on the estimated delivery date and other times they're delivered past the date). Also, with the Post Office, you obviously have to package the items yourself, which is fine if you don't have things that'll break or know exactly how to package your items securely and properly. UPS on the other hand, will package your items for you (it's all included with the shipping charge, unless you have to buy a box, that is obviously an extra charge). And let's point out the obvious, the Post Office usually has a long line or a long wait, but that usually isn't the case for the UPS Store (at least at this specific location). With my last visit, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! Overall, I believe that both are great companies to use to ship things out, but either one can be better depending on your needs. Whenever I'm mailing things that need insurance and tracking, I almost always come here since it's included in the shipping price and because you can actually track the location of your package (with the Post Office, they only have delivery confirmation). I've had pleasant experiences each time I visited this place so I definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others. read more
