Okay the 4 day shipping is fine. Which was $25. He asks if I would like insurance up to $100. He just kept looking at me. I'm like sir can you tell me how much it will be please 2 times. Third time, look sir I've asked you 3 times how much you are going to charge me for the insurance. Then oh it's free. Okay well if it's free add it please. Then he takes a tape measure out of the drawer and measure the box. Rings me up for $4 tape $25 shipping and $1 label. Total is $52. Sir can you explain the costs. The box is too big, even after he weighed it and asked me for the price I chose. He raised the shipping from $25 for 4 shipping to $40 with 4 day shipping. I said you changed the price and I don't even want to send the baby clothing now. The man said sorry, it's not my fault. Can I just have my receipt. I don't know why you changed the price for something I don't even want to send now. You lied. The faces popped up for me to review my service. He tried to block the screen and was mad I pressed the sad face. I won't be returning to this office for any further services.

I was previously treated unprofessionally by one of the employees when dropping off a UPS shipment. Again today, the same employee spoke to me in a disrespectful and condescending manner as I was dropping the packages for pickup by UPS. I am a 65 year old man and the employee is probably in his mid 20s. Inappropriate for any employee who is supposed to be representing the UPS brand to order a much older person to do something without a please. I looked at him, incredulous that he would behave so impolitely. He maintained his hostile stare so I reminded him that I was a customer, not someone who worked for him. It was at this time that the second employee, a statuesque black woman probably in her late 30s got involved. She said loudly "it' always the same s**t with you. Those packages aren't going out today. You can take them somewhere else." I again stared, incredulous. Things escalated with her telling me to "get the f**k out, bitch" and my telling her that she was a rude cow. She even advanced toward me to suggest that she was going to assault me. I took my packages back to my van and to the UPS store at the north side of town where I dropped them (in a very busy waiting area without incident.) I also took photos of both employees. Tomorrow I will be looking into who owns that UPS franchise and contacting that person as well as filing a complaint with the UPS customer care and lodging a complaint about Store #4516. Stay away if you have any sense. The inmates are running the asylum.

We were house hunting for 10 days, and the place we were staying at didn't have pots big enough to cook rice or pasta, so I bought one at Walmart. It was a little pricey to ship this stuff home, but it was so worth it, since I didn't want to leave a brand-new stainless steel pot at an Airbnb. They were really friendly and helpful, helped me with my shipping request, and we were in and out of there in under 30 minutes. When we move up, I will likely use their services again. Unfortunately here at the Yountville USPS, the clerks are "unable" to tape your box, so you must purchase tape if you would like your box secure. They "could not" confirm that the label sticker that they print out will stay on throughout shipment, so I was made to use the tape I purchased to secure it. They didn't even take my return address. I'm not sure why things here are so different from the typical USPS experience, but I will not be returning.

I usually dropped off mail&bought stamps, not anything very complicated. The parking lot is tricky- luckily there are nearby public lots as well as side streets. While the Napa post offices have cleaned up, the Sonoma one always looks shabby. It could use some good housekeeping. The service is consistently variable, depending on the day of the week&the time. When I arrived at 2:15 there was a notice on the door saying that "due to staffing issues they will reopen at 2:30.... sorry for the inconvenience" I decided to wait in my car until they reopened. At 2:30, there were about 5 people waiting outside. Since a couple of them knew I had been there waiting, they let me go in ahead of them which I appreciated. The gal working there apologized for having to close and that she was there by herself all day and needed to take a break and have some lunch. She handled everything with such professionalism and grace that she deserves to be acknowledged for being such a good employee. Sorry this is so long but these days it's rare that I find someone who deserves a pat on the back.
