Hours are variable and do not always match the posted opening times. It's a shame because the old Columbia City station used to be convenient and had some friendly, helpful staff. Mercer Island said their machine was broken and would not be repaired. Redmond didn't have a staff person who could operate the machine (from the reviews I read it's been that way for months). Issaquah has one staff member available for fingerprints from 2pm to 6pm. It took me 40 minutes in line to find out that the machine was down for the day. This post office also has a temperamental machine, but one employee was willing to give it a try. The machine here decided not to cooperate and take my fingerprints, but I was overjoyed just to have a chance by the time I made it here. Thank you for letting me try!

A family member utilized the Hold for Pickup service without my knowledge. When I arrived, the gentleman working informed me that this office does not accept packages mailed to them. I explained that I understood, and that the package was created through Click-N-Ship, which is eligible for Hold for Pickup, and that I had not requested this service myself. Despite this, he repeatedly spoke over me and even made a gesture to quiet me while I was simply trying to clarify that I do not typically have items shipped to the office and that I was only there because I was told the package was ready for pickup. After the third time he interrupted me, I told him I did not have time to argue over something so minor. At that point, he tossed the package in my direction. The conversation was factual and could have been handled much more professionally. I understand the staff may deal with difficult situations daily, but this situation escalated unnecessarily because he was not actively listening. I am reaching out because I do not appreciate the way I was spoken to today, and I felt the interaction was disrespectful and inappropriate.

My niece suggested that I get stamps from Costco, but they don't sell POSTCARD stamps. Yup. This post office was really close to Costco anyway, so it wasn't out of our way! Plus, the service was SUPER helpful! The kind, friendly woman was very personable and asked where we were from. She gave me tips on where to eat nearby and where to go for a good view of the city and the Space Needle. She was sharp because she looked at my postcards, knew that I was a tourist and tried to help me find beautiful views of Seattle like those on the postcards! She went over and beyond! She asked of i needed more than ten stamps - because they are "Forever" stamps and the price will be the same now and forever... She's correct. I purchased 20 stamps... LOL! We had a wonderful visit and ate where she suggested and will go to the park that she mentioned! Thank you so much!

I've had to ship to other countries for work and I had no idea how to fill out some of the forms, and unlike other locations I have gone to, in this location I received the most help without feeling rushed or anxious! The free parking lot was a bonus, but we weren't able to enter. Apparently, it's just a distribution center or some administrative building because only employees can enter.
