You…read morecould probably drive past it ten times and never know it's there, but It's tucked in the same strip mall as Dollar Tree on Pac Highway just south of Kent Des Moines Road. (You can also access it from 30th Avenue South.). But once you're there, this post office has plenty of parking. It also has weird hours. The hours on Yelp are wrong, and I suspect it's because you can't include split hours on Yelp. I've included a photo of the hours, I hope that helps. But it may not help enough... Can you go before work? Probably not. Can you go during your lunch hour? Also no. But, there are rarely more than a few people in line (I'm looking at you, Downtown Kent Post Office with your long lines!), and the employees are always friendly and efficient. For that reason, it might be worth it to find this little postal location.

It's a convenient location, but the customer service and the lengthy verification process definitely need improvement.

I can normally drop off a package and be out the door within minutes. Unfortunately, my most recent visit changed my impression. I stopped in to return an Amazon package that contained 16 small lights. The package had arrived to me in that same configuration, so I simply wanted to return it the same way to keep the products protected. A female employee opened the larger box and told me that the item didn't need a box. I explained why I had kept it packaged that way, but instead of simply helping me with the return, I felt like I was being lectured about how I should have packed it. She made a comment along the lines of, "You just need to read the instructions." I understand that there may be packing requirements, and I'm always willing to follow them. However, there was no need to make me feel like I was being talked down to over a simple package return. I want to be clear that this review is about that particular experience, not everyone at this location. I've always enjoyed dealing with the owner and the other employees, and they have treated me well. Still, customer service matters. After this experience, I honestly don't feel as comfortable coming back, at least for a while. I'm changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. I'm sharing this honest experience with my 135 million Google Maps readers because I believe businesses should receive both positive feedback and constructive feedback when something doesn't go well.

I had tracked it meticulously having even signed up for text updates. Sure, I wasn't excited about FedEx due to issues in the past but I thought this would be different. It was and was not. Where it was the same was I received a "could not deliver" notification stating that no one was home. No one had come to the door. No one called. I didn't even see a truck come up. I live in a place that has a locker system where any delivery company can come and drop off packages at any time of day. Nope, didn't happen! The driver just didn't even try. So, I went to the FedEx center at 5 PM when I was told the package would be ready for pickup. I wasn't thrilled because one of the reasons I had this shipped was because it is heavy. Where my typical experience diverged was at the shipping center. The employee who greeted me went to look for my package in the back. Another employee came out twice to ask if I needed help as I waited. The first came out for a moment to tell me that the driver didn't do what they were suppose to do (not surprised!) and then went back to look for the package. After what felt like forever but was probably ten minutes the lady came back out with my package on the cart and then helped me to my car. Between the two of us we wrestled the package into my car and I was on my way. She was great! Friendly, personable, and very helpful but I couldn't help but think of the driver had just done his or her job and delivered the package this poor FedEx lady wouldn't have to be outside trying to get a heavy, large box in my car. I know we don't often get a choice of how our packages are shipped but I would love it if FedEx as a whole improved.

This building is prepared for large volumes of people so the drive up box sends you through a very clearly labeled maze to move people through or you can go inside and there's a box in there as well with some very friendly employees!
