The Tukwila Post Office is a convenient location for the 98188 area and a useful place to take care of basic mailing and shipping needs. The location is fairly easy to access and convenient for people living or working nearby. However, my recent experience was disappointing. Yanyan was unfriendly, and the ID verification process for my wife was especially frustrating. We were told it could take up to 10 days, which is too late for us because we are moving in just two days and need to complete our address change. Overall, I would give this post office 3 stars. I mean, it's fine, lol. It's a post office, lol. It's a bit awkwardly located off a busy street, though the street that it's actually on is not busy at all (weird). It's a long narrow building, and long narrow parking lot. It's usually not very crowded; it happens to be where my mail comes from though it's not the closet office to me; I guess the one closer to me doesn't deliver mail. Going to the post office is just about as fun as going to the DMV. I literally put off going for like four days, but finally... FINALLY, told myself it was time. This office is super close to my house so it was a breeze getting there and parking was sufficient. Admittedly, this office is pretty dirty/unorganized... But I was in there at the end of the day on a Friday, so I'm trying to cut them some slack. I didn't have an envelope OR a stamp to send off my mail, but I was able to buy one of each here for about a dollar. I'm gonna go with saying that's a decent price, because I mean... It's a dollar! Staff wasn't super interactive with me, but they were in good spirits with each other which made them in a good mood in general... Which is rare in businesses such as this. I live in west seattle and the Westwood Village post office has lost my mail several times! When mail from the Tukwila office it gets there early! I use them all the time! read more

By the looks of the outside of this post office, my first instinct was to say this place looks like it is in bad need of a major overhaul. The paint is horrendous and the general structure looks like it's failing several building codes. The inside is moderately decent and the parking lot is moderately inviting. I netflix and I'm addicted. To truly be an addict one must know all about their local post offices - hours, pick-ups, etc... I have only nice things to say about the Riverton Heights station. They are on the northern edge of the SeaTac airport so mail that needs to fly does so without delay. The last pick-up of the day is at 7:30pm (often if I put mail in the box around 7:00 it makes it to the local recipient the next day). Plus the fully staffed lobby is open every day until midnight - great! Considering that staff at USPS are known for going "postal" the staff here seem generally happy and focused on customer service. They also have one of those cool do-it-yourself package mailing which I enjoy quite a bit! The only negatives about this office include - parking lot is way too small and sucks, branch isn't AC'd in the summer = HOT, even when fully staffed the staff really can't keep up with the volume of visitors - no matter how hard they try! read more

This place is JOKE! Have to some of the worst management I've ever experienced in my 31 years of life. So I got into an altercation/debate with one of their driver who parked in my parking spot for nearly 20 mins. So I parked in front of him since I had no where to park and I was going to be in and out. I let me dogs out because I just got back from the gym. And obviously wasn't going to wait 20-30 mins for a guy to move out of my parking spot to let my dogs out to use the restroom. So I let my dogs out and still the driver doesn't show. So I would have waited near 30 mins to let my dogs out if I were to wait for him to come back to his car and move out of MY PARKING SPOT. he then gets mad and I tell him that it is my car blocking him because I had to let my dogs out. He then proceeded to threaten me and say "we'll will see who deliver you mail" for 3-4 weeks nobody in my apartment got their mail and so I went up there to the location and when I get there I speak to cashier explaining the situation. Lucky he mentioned he's supervisor Donna was in. So I waited for her. I then explain the situation with to her and she says that it's because I made a "racial slur" against the driver keep in mind I am a minority & have dealt with racism my whole life in one way or another. And ask for evidence & she claims that her manager was on the phone with the driver and that he heard it all. I then ask for the manager because at this point she's getting hostile and I wanted to deescalate myself out that situation. HER DONNA AND NOT TO BE RUDE HAS A CROSS EYE. well she gets her manager and his name he said is SINGH and I begin to explain the situation and that the reason was for racial slurs. I then tell him what evidence he had against me saying that he then claims he was on the phone with the driver and that's just hear say. Then changed the subject and says it's because I cursed at his driver. I said the only reason I cursed is because your driver Threaten to not deliver my mail. Plus last time I check I didn't know it was illegal to curse in America? Singh was his names so accused me of being a racist but when I brought that up he changed it to "me cursing" was the reason the didn't delive. So I filed a complaint agains t them and guess what? Next day my mail is getting delivered. HAHAHHAA SINGH & DONNA are the worst managers in the world. Funny that even when the manager took over the situation she still begin yelling even behind him and was asked to go to the back. Thank God justice was served. I don't live in the area but I had to contact this post office to find out information on an order that was marked as delivered from this post office but the customer said the order wasn't delivered. I spoke with a Dale and he was very helpful. He checked the GPS coordinates let us know that the order was in fact delivered to the correct address but may have been delivered to the wrong parcel locker (apartment complex). He was very helpful and extremely kind on the phone. I have to deal with many different USPS locations and so far Dale was my favorite! Great customer service! read more

Well I did not get a package it said I did by the post office. I waited a couple of days to see if one of the neighbors got it by mistake. I went in and explained that I never got the package but had been getting all the other ones. The lady behind the counter was very nice and looked it up; it got sent to a wrong address about 4 blocks over as there was a new driver. My regular and backup were both out that day the Post Office manager told me. He personally went over to the location and said he would knock on doors to try and get the package back. I would give a " ZERO" if I could. I have been dealing with mail that i do not receive, or when i do receive mail it's not my mail. It's everyone's mail in my office building except mines. Occasionally my mail is in there with all the other tenants in the building. I assume that when you sort out mail you look at two things. One is the address including the SUITE number, and then you look at who it's addressed to. Like i said, it's an assumption, but whatever the proper technique is, it's just not working. I have been dealing with this for over the past 3 years, going on 4 years since I have been in this business park. The last straw was the fact that it took a month before i received a check i was waiting for. It came from Enumclaw and it took a whole month. You can walk that check over from Enumclaw faster that a month. Again another check i was waiting for, took over a week. I have contacted this post office numerous times and the issue never gets resolved. I was even given a Consumer Affairs number, and they are worst than the post office that is screwing everything up. They make you hold for almost an hour and then RUSH you off the phone and don't really want to help you. They tell you to go and contact the post office manager or Post Office Post Master. I have been more than patient, but I figure I would share my FRUSTRATION. HORRIBLE! We just moved to our new house and this post office is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with. Our mail, is constantly dropped in the wrong box. Packages are always put in a lock box down the block, and we have to call to have it redelivered. Oh did I mention, they NEVER answer the phone! We just had another package delivered wrongly, and I have called "15" times, twice someone picked up the phone and hung up. When she's on vacation the whole system falls apart. I have just had 5 packages returned to sender since they can't find my address and 1 lost package. This year. Last year I had THREE packages NEVER make it to my house and the post office said it was the fault of the senders. They informed me then that senders should have tracking numbers on their packages (two did, one was from a government agency that needed my signature on paperwork) and that if any letters are sent to me that they should have signature. I asked if I'm supposed to call a government agency and tell them to put on special things for just me? Post office personnel just started at me blankly. So, let's count, shall we. A packaged delivered through Amazon was supposed to be sent to my office after failure to send initially occurred... I have had the misfortune of this particular post office being responsible for my mail delivery for the past two years. In that time, I have had AT LEAST 5 packages/letters never make it to me. 6 months after I moved in, they stopped my mail for some unknown reason and made me fill out paperwork to start it up again. Then, they just added someone's name to the "name tag" on my mailbox, and began to deliver mail in their name. (No matter how many times I informed them that no one was at this address by that name) Now, the amount of mail I received that wasn't mine easily approached 30 or 35 pieces of regular mail, and I received 3 packages that were not mine. These were mistakenly put in my box, not addressed incorrectly. The last package I received that was mine, arrived a day later than the tracking number said it did, and I know this was because they put it in the wrong box, then I had to wait for that person to bring it to their attention, then they leave me the key to the boxes they put packages in. I have lived in many parts of the country, and have never been bothered enough by the service of the post office, or DMV, etc. to actually complain, because most of it is not their fault, and they aren't incompetent, just slow. THIS POST OFFICE IS INCOMPETENT. I still would not have left a review, but I am moving next week and have a lot of things going on, and important mail has not reached me that I need, and when speaking to a relative yesterday, she commented that she got my niece's wedding invitation back that they sent to me - THEY STOPPED MY MAIL AGAIN FOR SOME REASON!!!! Idiotic. Last November, a Vandal broke into our Cluster box... 7 month later it is still broken and the Post Office will not do anything about it. We ask and they say it is our responsibility, but there are 13 boxes and they will not give out who had a slot, so there is noting that can be done unless one neighbor decides to pay $3000.00 to get a new one. But they the Post office states that we have to purchase the Cluster box through them at a higher cost. I give them a Negative 50 for giving a F about their customers and having no way for 13 people to get back to normal. read more

WORST EVER!!! I've lived in SeaTac for 15+ years.. I constantly get others mail, I've put my mail on hold for vacations and it's still delivered .. EVEN when I've called to confirm hold (and got eail conformation) I've literally had to lock my gates and remove my mail box, this last vacation they said it was on hold.. but removed it mid week and lost all of my mail, I work for dshs and they've lost all of my clients information. ebay packages, personal info .. and we wonder why we have mail fraud.. total SUCK.. The one great postal deliverer we had I wrote in to the Post Master General thanking him and they switched his route to a better location.. GAWD REALLY? If you have a choice, NEVER USE THIS POST OFFICE. They outsource delivery to people who are too lazy to deliver and then LIE about failing to deliver. I paid extra to have a package delivered on a Monday. I got an email at about 4:44 pm telling me that the carrier was unable to locater my mailbox or front door (unclear), which is a blatant lie since my mail box and my front door are less than ten feet from a common publlic driveway. I tried calling to find out where my package was and why it wasn't delivered and the d!ckhead employed Dale flat out LIED TO ME on the phone. I spoke to a supervisor and he lied to me also. They hire lazy people who refuse to do the work and then they get mad when the public gets mad. I filed a complaint at the USPS website WHILE I WAS STILL ON THE PHONE AND GOT A RESPONSE FROM THE POSTAL INSPECTOR AGREEING THAT MY COMPLAINT WARRANTED AN INVESTIGATION... I ordered an item from Amazon over two weeks ago but it never arrived. I tried to find it through the services provided online for USPS but nothing came of it so I called my local post office. I spoke to the supervisor about a lost package and he claimed that it was never physically scanned and that it probably never left the Amazon facility. He told me to contact Amazon and then put me on hold mid conversation. So I contacted Amazon and they said that the package made it to this particular post office but "got lost in transit." I had no choice to but to get a refund even though I had purchased that item for $60, so now I have to purchase the same item for over a $100 from a different seller! So much time wasted trying to retrieve this package, I could have made back the $50 I saved. And the one time I am able to save a great deal of money, this post office f*cks it up. I really wish Amazon has stuck with UPS. No matter how bad the service is, gov funded organizations will always stay in business. Thank god for the free market.
